So, I hovered between 3 and 4 stars. I went with 4 because these guys actually did do a bang-up job. I called based on a craigslist ad that said the rate was $ 55, flat, per hour. I called super last-minute and wanted a move for later in the afternoon(about a 6-hour difference). The guys were able to accommodate such short notice, which was awesome, right? Then they showed up and told me it was $ 59/hr, with a three-hour minimum charge and $ 25 for gas. Okay, fair enough. Still cheaper than renting a U-haul and adding moving helpers.(Fact. Not by much, but still cheaper.) I was a little miffed, but, hey, they were there, they were ready to go and I didn’t have time to dally. And boy, did they not dally. I was moved and off on my merry way within the hour. ONEHOUR. To move my bedroom furniture(which is up three sets of stairs and about 75ft from the street), something like 30 boxes(most were small, the rest were medium… a lot were books), some bookshelves, desk, miscellaneous nonsense, truck it all about 10 miles down the road to my storage unit and tetris it all into a 6×12 closet. I was impressed. Admittedly, I didn’t want to pay more than I already was, so I tipped them $ 20 on top of the $ 205ish and gave them each a bottle of wine. I don’t feel bad about that, either. They got paid for two hours of not working. Ok. So I feel a tiny bit bad. But I usually overtip. I dunno, maybe my experience was a fluke? Or maybe you should just schedule your move for a Saturday at 7pm. ;o)

I found these guys on Craigslist. I had one bedroom apartment to move, their rate with 2 hours minimum and small gas fee was pretty low. Guy on the phone with an accent said that their company is licensed and insured. I checked with PUC their status, and the result was negative. This company has NOLICENSE and has NOINSURANCE. I decided to go with different moving company.

This company was great!!! They did a really good job! All my belongings were well taken care of, not a scratch on anything! Their prices were very reasonable as well! They did whatever it took to get the job done, even worked late into the night. The guys that did our move were very hard workers. I have had other moving companies move me before(good and bad!) This company is one of the good ones!

I decided to give them a try because their Craigslist ad looked good, the rates were reasonable, they claim they are bonded/insured, and they happened to be available later that day. Two mover came, with no business cards with them, and no business sign on the truck. They are rather slow, so slow that I had to join them for the moving as the clock continued to tick. They also spent way too much time wrapping the furniture. I probably will not use them again.
