My nephew and I drove all the way from alpine because his birthday was today, and could only make it by 9 – 915 and the ad said they close at 10. They do not, they were close before we got there. The place was nephew was very disappointed ted, as am I with this false advertisement.

Boyfriend needed a new Xbox 360 bc his broke his and he bought a new one. The new one he bought was defected so we took it back same day and they knew what to do right away. They are extremely nice and they are giving him a new one. But I don’t understand all the bad reviews because they are so nice and funny and knowledgable. After we left my bf realized he forgot his hard drive in the Xbox he returned. GameStop was closed at this point, so I gave them a call while he drove back and they answered very nicely and told me to tell him to just knock and they will make sure that he gets his hard drive. That’s awesome! Glad we live so close.

i was helping someone find a game, having little knowledge of where to look, and what to ask. the man working last Saturday was insanely helpful. very personable, and knowledgeable. He seemed to have the stores inventory memorized. this is how customer service is supposed to look like.

Don’t go there! They are ridiculous. I was encouraged by an employee there to come back at midnight for a midnight release of a game I wanted. I arrived at 12:30am and the store was entirely closed! I called to see if it was still possible to get my game, and no one answered, however there were employees in the store. Very horrible service. They have also sold me wrong games, and defective disks. worst game stop to date!

HORRIBLESTORE! Avoid this place! They are flat out LIARS. Do not deal with Lary. He is a complete lowlife scumbag. The manager was just as bad. They wasted my time and when they go out of business, it won’t be soon enough. Go elsewhere. Never go in to sell any used equipment it is a total tipoff scam. I’d give them a negative –10 score. Pathetic people.

I tried to trade in my Xbox360 twice at this location. First time, after checking all the hardware(xbox, HDD, controllers, cables, batteries) and games I was told they could not accept it because I was missing the original AA battery packs. So I went back and bought the AA battery packs. I came back 3 days later and my controllers magically became unsaleable because there was dirt in the seams. The employee/manager then tried to make a case because they sell them for just $ 10 less than the new ones and therefore people would not buy them if they are dirty. Like it is my problem how much gamestop prices used equipment. His suggestion was to go home and clean them myself! ahahah So, after waisting my time for the second occasion I took my box of stuff and headed to a different gamestop. They gladly accepted my «unsaleable» controllers and all the other components, and I used the score credit to buy a new PS4. In the end the employee not only lost a customer but also a nice +$ 400 profit over some old dusty controllers… GREATJOB!

The staff here is great! They offer a lot of insight on games. I find the more questions I ask the honesty just rings. Jeremy was really helpful when I was trading in a game that i wasn’t thrilled about(ninja gaiden), he helped me find a few better games that i didn’t have to spend a whole lot of $$$ on. I like this Gamestop!

I’m a ‘mature’ mom of a 16 year old master gamer. He would say I’m decrepit but alright, good even; since I’m almost always willing to make a trip to the Loma Portal GameStop(I even bring my wallet most of the time)! While this location mat not have the biggest inventory they more then compensate in Customer Service. That means they help me shop for birthday and Christmas gifts that actually surprise my son; instead of having to rely solely on his detailed shopping(read To Do) list.

The people here are really nice and easy to deal with. Prices are on par with everyone else but the customer service is enough to keep me coming back

Great group of guys. They do midnight launches at this location and all the employees are friendly, quick, and courteous. They go out of their way to talk to you and make sure you have what you need. Store itself is not particularly well kept. It is most likely due to the age of the building. The lack of wall space makes the place look extremely cramped and many of the peripheral electronics products are not within arm’s reach(requires an employee to break out a step ladder.) Otherwise the place is always fun to go to and talk to the people.

This place deserves five stars all day everyday. The guys at the counter are always knowledgeable about all the new games. They are always willing to chat it up for a minute about whats hot and whats not. This is the only place I buy games, and I buy a lot of games.

took a deposit 2⁄20 for my 9 year old to get LEGO Harry Potter today(5⁄4) — his 10th birthday. Went to store today — now they say 6⁄29 availability. A very disappointed kid. No calls, postcards, letters or e-ms. They took our money and breached our contract. Neither employee seemed least bit sympathetic.

As a(former) recovering/(currently) regressing hardcore gamer(seriously, I look at the time I’ve spent getting to where I’m at on World at War and I shudder) I don’t particularly care to give my money to the behemoth corporate greedmasters at GameStop. But I’ll be damned if this isn’t the only GameStop I’ve been in where A: I can actually move around the store without copping a feel in error/having a feel copped on me(attention GameStop corporate store planners: use this store as your template for EVERYOTHERSTORE you open from now on!), B: The games are actually split up ‘correctly’: by system, used and new and alphabetized correctly and consistently, and C: The staff in it’s entirety aren’t a herd of douchey, holier-than-thou antisocial lames. Kay, in particular, is very easy on the eyes and friendly to boot. If I was local, I’d have been trying my damnedest to chat her up… ;-) Seriously, if every GameStop were like this one, I’d be a lot more likely to give the greedy corporate bastards more of my money, and happily at that.

this place feels dirty and messy whenever i’m here. it really isn’t, it just feels that way. the staff has never been helpful, and they seem too consumed with themselves to try and help. luckily i know what i’m getting before i go here, and it doesn’t seem like i’d get much help on recommendations for games. there was even a time where i overheard an employee(possibly a manager) yelling at another employee(behind closed doors) for not helping out while the store was really busy. the employee who got yelled at came out with a smug look on his face, and i felt it was time to leave. i left while i was in line, and i felt bad for the people waiting to be helped. i went to the gamestop down the street. * what i liked — i like video games period * what i didn’t like — staff — unprofessionalism — the way i feel when i’m in there

There is nothing better then clearing off the shelves of old games that you no longer play and trading them in for something new. When I worked in radio and would get free copies of games it was always nice every couple of months to bring in my stack of goodies and games that NOONE wants to play and getting something legit. They use to take DVD’s as well, and I miss that. But as far as video game stores go, you could do a lot worse. You may find a used game at a great price if you peruse the shelves on a board Saturday afternoon. Like all things, sometimes you can find a better price if you shop around, and the employees at a GameStop are a mix between indie kids that like games, and the hardcore gamers that still live at home with Mom, but have made it to Assistant Manager status. Sweet.

I popped into this GameStop last night to trade in some old PS2 games for some new XBox games. I’d been in here once before and while their selection isn’t the biggest I’ve seen in a gamestop, it’s not totally lacking. I liked that they didn’t have every square inch of the store crammed with stuff so you can’t walk around easily. Many GameStops are really small, but this one had some room to it.(It also didn’t smell like old pee, which I’ve found is a somewhat common thread in many GameStops. What is that about?) The staff was really helpful. I forget his name, but he was working the nightshift last night. He was friendly without being up my caboose and he was knowledgable and tried to help me find the kinds of games *I* want to play, not what he thinks is cool. I found a couple games to get for my trade-ins and was in and out for five whole dollars. Thanks, GameStop!
