This place is much better than Panda expresss! Food is not too sweet and a lot of food!

Not going back, they have the 2 item special with drink listed at $ 5.29, yet they charge me for $ 7.33…I didn’t say anything, but w/e I’m not going back. I couldn’t finish the food, it literally started to make my stomach hurt. But they do give large portions and a drink. Either way, that was the only reason I went there, for the $ 5.29 special, but if they’re going to charge 7+ dollars, then I’d rather go somewhere else.

The food is always fresh and taste very good. They also give you large portions. The main cashier is a little rude and wouldn’t sell me an egg roll unless I bought two of them.

Great sweet and sour chicken. Very fast at getting order together. Good food, nothing exquisite for Chinese. Would go again.

I had gotten a coupon book at SDSU and the Great Wall Express was one of the restaurants and offered a 3 item and a medium drink for 5.49. So, I thought why not. I picked sweet and sour and orange chicken and lo mein. I got it home and it was okay. If you’re lookong for a deal then this is the place to go.

Food is OK for Chinese food and customer service is also OK. I’ve been coming here for years. the reason is because they give you a lot of food for not much out of your pocket(unlike some places… Panda Express). I don’t think it’s a bad place for a quick grab and go but what do you expect? It’s like any other fast food place. Now if your looking for a nice authentic Chinese restaurant that orders to go try Clairemont Mesa Blvd. or Convoy(somewhere in that area). They have all sorts of Asian restaurants.

this place is bomb and gives you a TON of food for a very reasonable price. But the two ladys that work here are very very rude. it is true. but all well. it worth it when your on a budget.

There’s nothing really special about this place. Mediocre Chinese food, I’ve definitely had better. I had the orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and sweet & sour chicken with fried rice and chow mein for about $ 9. HUGE portions that you can could probably last you two to three days. So if you’re hungry and looking for cheap food, this is the place to go.

Easy access and I have never had to wait in a long line. It has good prices for good food. It is the best Chinese«fast food» and the only place I go! I’ve been using this place for a couple years and would recommend it to anyone. My favorite is the low mein. And the quantity is always more than enough!

The food quality isn’t the best, but they do give you a lot of food for a good price which is a plus

I have been going here for the past two years! I really don’t see where all these negative reviews are coming from. I have never had an issue with the ladies that work there. They are friendly and fast, which is what I like when on my lunch hour. The portions are HUGE! The food has a good taste, my favorite is their teriyaki chicken!

Have eaten their low price low quality food for years… it’s a good go to when u are low on funds and hungry. Portions are huge for price… My grandkids live the orange chicken… I’ve had better. I usually order an order of shrimp fried rice for 6.50 $. Its very good… and a large very full container… Its not a place you’re go on a date. lol But it’s reliable… and usually fresh…

I always take a day before writing reviews like this to calm down and make sure I am being fair. I could not give a stronger recommendation to never visit here. I went here with three other people to order a large amount of food for a simple family dinner(to go). They got the order wrong but that would not lead me to write a one star review on its own. If the food was good and the service was acceptable or better I would still give 3 or 4 stars. But it wasn’t. I ordered Fried Rice received white rice my kung pao chicken should have been called 6 peanuts and onions as it had literally 5 tiny pieces of chicken in a double order. It was inedible. While others picked at there food I decided if it was worth it to go back and have the order corrected, it’s close to the house. After everyone had eaten what they could from the meals(what was tolerable) we went back. The woman argued with me that I ordered it wrong and then attempted to show me that the Kung Pao slop had any meat in it, which I could still not see. She eventually gave me a serving of fried rice but with a huge attitude, and started talking to other employees in Chinese ignoring me. This place is gross and will just piss you off, find some place else.

Come by the time they close because they hook it up! So cheap and so good especially when you are planning to get drunk that night or use it for your lunch and dinner for tomorrow!

Good food here, I like the sweet and sour chicken, broccoli beef and fried rice. The only thing I dislike about the place is that they water down the Sriracha here.

I had their sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, and fried rice. I was literally starving so the first couple of bites were BOMB. Lol. My hunger was deceiving me. Yeah the food is cheap, 3 entrees and a drink for $ 4.99 plus tax but ugh their food is nasty. The beef tasted suspect. I honestly don’t know what I was eating. They give you a lot of food for the price and they get packed but I have had better. But hey you get what you pay for!

Since I started working on El Cajon blvd I decided to start trying the 100 of joints in this area. Keep in mind I am still new to the area so I really don’t know where all the best spots are. I was looking for something last minute and decied to try Great Wall Express. It’s «fast food» chinese! The food is not the BEST chinese but for $ 5.99 I think it’s a great price point for the amount of food you get. I ordered the 3 item combo and med drink. I chose 50⁄50 rice noodle, orange chicken and jalapeño chicken. The Jalapeño chicken was not spicy but it had great flavor and the orange chicken. was soggy. I didn’t like it. In the end if I ever need a fast place to get food, I would go back

They know me by name and I usually get the same thing. My kids change their orders up and everyone has always been satisfied for the price. It’s not an elegant place(but if it was — they’re prices would be higher!

I reaaaaally dont get what all the complaints are, the place is seriously called Chinese fast food. Its greasy and delicious. The portions are sooooo big. My boyfriend and I could share the three item combo which is less than $ 6. We usually get 2 three item combos, 4 egg rolls and 2 medium drinks for $ 15. Loooooove this place!
