We purchased our new hickory hardwood floors through Etienne at Cut & Dried Flooring in Solana Beach, Harbour’s retail location. Mike, Danny and Louis performed the installation seamlessly and the new floors in our home look incredible. Mike (foreman) was very quick to return phone calls and answer my questions. A great experience overall and I highly recommend them for your flooring installation needs.

We just had a great experience with Harbour Hardwood/​Cut and Dried Flooring. They just spent two weeks refinishing and distressing our hickory plank flooring. The crew did a great job and they were very neat and cleaned up at the end of each day. The floors came out beautifully. We thought the price was fair and we’re very happy with the outcome. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will use them again.

Harbour Hardwood Flooring
Our family has used Harbour Hardwoods on three separate occasions and has had a wonderful experience each time. We hired Harbour Hardwood four years ago to replace ceramic wood-​faux tile in our living room, kitchen and bedrooms. After looking at numerous wood styles and colors, Etienne, the owner of Harbour Hardwood, recommended reclaimed teak. He also suggested installing the planking on a diagonal, creating a flow to the flooring that visually widened the narrow rooms. We were/​are very pleased with the result. The job was completed on time and the crew was very careful to keep the work area clean, especially during the demolition phase, and turned the house over «dust free».
Our daughter also hired Harbour to refinish her existing hardwood floors and they now look better than when they were new.
Last month when we decided to replace the carpeting in the loft, our first and only call was to Harbour Hardwood. They pre-​finished the flooring off-​site, to eliminate sanding and dust inside our home. Plastic sheeting was installed floor to ceiling to enclose the loft for the minimal sanding needed to perform the final finish. Excellent.

I’ve been in a construction project at my residence for a few months. The designer brought out a sample, we just loved. One problem, the product and installation was very expensive through the builder. I looked everywhere for a comparable product.
While having lunch in Solana Beach I saw Cut and Dried Flooring/​Harbour Hardwood Flooring. I walked in and looked at there selection. It was great, but just wasn’t what we had been looking for. The owner Etienne came out and looked at the sample we had. He said he could have that made for us. Not only did he have it custom made, but he beat the price and installation.
The flooring has been the smoothest and best part of our remodel. Mike who did the installation was professional and kept us informed of the process the whole way through. This company is the best!!!

I was really glad a friend recommended Mike and Harbour Hardwood. After going through an awful experience with a different flooring company, they stepped in and gave excellent advice, made what another company said was a major problem, not a problem at all, just needed to seal our slab to protect the floor from our slightly moister than average slab. They did an awesome job, were very positive and informative and most importantly did excellent work in a timely manner and for not a bad price. I will definitely recommend these guys if a friend or anyone is looking for a great experience.

The estimate guy showed up late for the appointment. He couldn’t give me even a ballpark cost estimate, but promised to send it via email in a few days. Why does a flooring estimate take 2 days? I called their number after a week without a response. The office returned my call 2 days later with a promised to send the estimate the next day. Why does is take 2 days to return a phone call? That was a week ago. I never did receive that estimate.

Recently installed 1500 SF of reclaimed flooring on the first floor of a house we were remodeling. While I was pleased with all the subs our contractor selected, I was especially pleased with the work ethic and attention to detail of these guys. They were the first on the job in the morning and the last to leave in the afternoon, and even worked on Saturdays to fit in around the other trades. Very conscientious. Weren’t the cheapest bid but we’re thrilled with the results. In my experience, the cheapest is usually the most expensive anyway, because you end up needing to redo the crappy job the cheap guy does.

Great service! We removed a fireplace in our home and had to rip out some of our reclaimed oak floor. They replaced the planks, matching the color perfectly. Also re-​oiled the floors in our whole house while we were on vacation. They worked fast and were very professional.
