Could I leave zero stars? The server, Katie, was slow and careless. We waited over an hour for our food and then one order came with hair in it. The manager gave us free lunch cards, but we won’t be bacm

Let’s just say for having been her first day, she did excellent! Daisy by far met the standards I believe you have to have to be a great server! I believe she will be an amazing team player, I always have something to say about our service going anywhere not being good(basically nitpicking everything wrong) but not today! She did great. Do Big Things Daisy! Thanks for making our date night

Really slow service. Had a bug in my drink and hair on my food and my friend’s food. We didn’t complain, just took them out. Will never comeback here again.

Fair 3 stars. My first visit to Hooters and such disappointment:(first of all i didn’t feel like this place is clean, then our waitress spilled water on the table and left didnt say nothing! What? At least say my bad, right? Then most importantly food wasn’t good either. Maybe i had ordered wrong chicken wings, but mine weren’t as i wanted em. Barely 3 stars

Poor service and very slow, even though it was not busy. My least favorite location in San Diego. Go to mission valley it’s worth the wait!!!

Not super impressed with the cook staff… they seem slow. We hit this place on a weekday for lunch. Place was pretty dead. Our server was great. She was on top of drinks and checking in. She was great. The cook staff just seemed behind. Maybe they were short staffed, no clue but it affected us for sure. Food came out slow and in pieces. By the time all food had been delivered we were about done. Granted, we were a party of 15 people but still. I would have hated to go in here when they were busy. Food was good as always! Love love love their fried pickles!!!

Okay, before I receive any reprimanding remarks about saying that Hooters is a sweet joint to hit up, I just want to say that I came here for charity. Charity? Yes, I walked into Hooters to help support a group of college kids trying to keep their club afloat by purchasing something here-by extension I gave my waitress a tip for the good service I got. Hooters ranks pretty low on my scale of places with food variety. All of the food is fried and coated with lots of sodium, hypertension anyone? Second, the only salvageable factor that makes this place great is that they have a pool table. If an establishment has a pool table then I am bound to stay a while. Since I am not a big fan of eating a lot of meat I opted to order just curly fries with BBQ sauce. They actually were not bad at all. If I were doing the cooking I might consider cutting down on the garlic salt. For my visit, Janice was my waitress. She did a good job making sure that I and other parties were treated with fair service and making sure that we got everything that we needed. That is a good quality to have! I noticed that the management here is subpar. I feel as if this place needs to be revamped with a new menu or something. I heard from other parties that came to Hooters later during the day that one of the managers was a bit accosting toward some guests. To me that is not acceptable at all. Customers should be treated with kindness, especially when they are paying for food and service from this place. Corporate needs to seriously review how this place is being run if they want to make their name more prominent in the community.

Sad to say but this is my second time here and the service and food are below par. We sat outside for about 20 minutes before we finally had service. We had to go inside for that! The wings are okay but they aren’t what they used to be. The menu needs an overhaul. Hooters used to be so much fun and now I find myself just wishing for how things used to be. They could do a lot by just lowering their salad prices and offering some healthy alternatives. Their grouper used to be my favorite thing but they don’t have it any more.

I would give it 0 stars. We sat at the bar and the restaurant was dead. We still waited over ten minutes for our beer. The bartender was slow, unimpressive and clearly felt her texting was more important than service. When the beer finally arrived it was barely cold and flat. We asked for management and the manager actually never apologized. Nor did he try to correct the problem. Customer service is just that. It’s not personal but this manager seemed to have an inferiority complex(little man syndrome) and had zero people skills. We didn’t bother ordering food. Who would given the start of the experience. Let’s be honest though… Hooters food is barely edible.

This hooters is alright. Just a few college girls wearing extensions trying to make it through college. When I went on Friday night, it wasn’t too busy, but with a little bit of action with drunk guys hanging out and getting drunk. This is a good place to get drinks. what is really sad is that they don’t have a lot of options on their gluten free menu because everything there is breaded! What they only really had were seafood. I also saw a corner where they put all the empty glasses, it made the bar look very unsanitary.

Ok so my fiancé and I had a lot of fun here tonight. It was his birthday and they sang to him while he played a hoola hoop haha. The manager Fernando is amazing. Very on top of things. The only reason I’m taking off a star from this rating is that the waitresses overcharged us for things we didn’t order. But Fernando corrected it and even gave us a free birthday gift. The first wings that we order were grossly undercooked by the new staff but they were replaced by more awesome wings. :)

I always wanted to see what the big fuss was about Hooters. So today I stumbled in with my boyfriend’s family. I know. Not the ideal situation, but hey we were hungry! We walk in and no one is there to help us. One woman murmured something at us and then walked into the kitchen, then she came back like 7 minutes later and said we can sit wherever we want. K thanks. We take our seats at a table by a window. It’s hot. Pretty sure there’s no ventilation. We wait like 10 minutes THEN our server comes. We order drinks and food. She wasn’t that friendly. She seemed on the edge. I don’t know why. We were polite and nice. The food came pretty fast. But it wasn’t impressive. We ordered barbecue and medium-style wings. They were mediocre. There was nothing special about them. The curly fries were whatever too. The bill was over $ 60! In my opinion, it wasn’t worth it. Make your decision up this way: Are you hungry + on a time limit? Go to Hooters. Do you want a satisfying dinner + a nice environment? Pass on Hooters. Go to La Puerta or somewhere else nearby.

«Go to Hooters!» can now be crossed off my bucket list. My friends and I stopped by during our day-drinking adventure in the Gaslamp Quarter. It was the first time going to Hooters for a few of us. The Hooters girls actually came up to us and sang us a song because it was our first time! So fun! We each ordered a drink. The sweet fruity drinks on the drinks menu satisfied the ladies, and our guy friend had a beer.

We were in downtown for comic con, and decided to get some wings. We walk in and were sat right away. We chose to eat outside to people watch and enjoy the fresh air. Our server was very nice and attentive. I am from Tampa, Florida. I used to eat at Hooters quite often, it’s the birthplace of Hooters after all! So I’d say I know the potential of their wings. This food at this location was just gross. I left unsatisfied, but I wasn’t hungry anymore so at least it filled me. I’m used to the wings being crispy… But these were soggy. The sauce is usually on par with«hot sauce»… This was almost watered down and bland. I tried the garlic parmesan… It’s new… Yuk. Save yourself the money. And the curly fries were cold and blah. The prices were higher than regular locations, too. My guess is because it’s in downtown. Overall: service was great, atmosphere was awesome, but the food is poor quality for the price and isn’t up to par with the rest of the chain. Update: I just saw the Thursday special for .65 wings… Our server didn’t tell us about that, so she’s charged us regular prices. Grrr

I give this place 1 star because that’s the lowest I can give. I remember going with a few friends and the girls had a face of disgust. They were not friendly at all, it gave me the impression they hated their life. Some of them were all the way at the back gossiping and laughing, and it made me very uncomfortable. The manager is so rude… You guys have no idea. Food is cheap and decent, but not the best. I just wanted to have a good time with my fiends, but I remember the girl touched the food unintentionally when she brought our plates… Not only that, but her long hair was getting all over the food too. Oh well, it’s ok though, it’s hooters haha

Sooo I know you don’t go to Hooters for their good service… But holy shit this place is bad. The only enjoyable part about my meal was the company, and I brought that myself. They took at least 15 mins to even come up and ask if we wanted to order anything including drinks, and then each thing following took twice as long. They brought everyone’s food out except for one in our party, which was a 15 min delay. Then on top of that the wingsday Wednesday naked wing special is a joke. We had literally like maybe 8 small strips of chicken on the plate. Like the size of strip you put on a salad. Seriously, ridic. They weren’t even wings! Idk if all Hooters are notorious for being just terrible, but I doubt I’ll try to find out. It also took a million years to get our check which we just handed right back to them immediately so they could waste no time, but they managed to take forever for that too. And just to clarify, they were by no means busy.

Worst«naked» wings I have ever had. They were so overcooked I couldn’t tell the meat from the bone. So gross. Threw it in the trash after the second wing. Photo attached– note the white from being overcooked.

Good service and cold beer… but the food is not great. Edited after a second visit! Came in to watch the NBA Finals and had to revise my original review. Ordered the Buffalo Platter, fried pickles and fries to share. The food was delicious and the service was great! Drink special was so good, ordered the Happy Mule(see pics) and coulda drank em all night

Alright so the fellas n I went to have some wings n brews for our boys Bach party. Straight up bartender was cool, always kept em comin’, the shots were delicious too! But not only that the manager Nancy was awesome! Definitely made sure we had a good time! She hooked us up with so much beer knowledge it was pretty cool! Homegirl knows her brews, no joke! Other than that the service was great, and vibe was chill. As for the wings, we all got boneless. Bout 20 each. They were soooo dam good. The BBQ boneless were probably the majority favorite. The non boneless pepper lemon wings were the shit too! Grub it up!

Came to Gaslamp on a Tuesday night(Taco Tuesday anyone?!) around 10PM! Me and a bunch of friends(party of 10) decided to come to Hooters since we were quite hungry and it was also a friend’s 21st birthday! Yay for cheap drinks! The place was pretty quite; only a few people actually eating/drinking and a few people playing pool. We waited for about 5 – 10 minutes before we were asked if we were ready to order. We were not ready to order, so we had to wait another 15 – 20 minutes. Eventually we got to order. this is what we all got: –Lemon drop shots($ 3) –Kool-aid shots(?)($ 3) –Carne asada quesadillas($ 5) –AYCE Chicken wings($ 12.99/per person) –Fried pickles –Hot dogs –Beer –Piña colada Pros: –Chicken wings platters came in 10 pieces! We tried the Lemon pepper, Garlic parmesan, and Habanero BBQ(3 spicy stars). The first platter took a good 45 minutes to come out… but then everything after came out super quickly once they said the kitchen was about to close. *Luckily they let you order as much as you want. so we ordered 20 wings at once.* –Restrooms are clean! Pleasantly surprised… because if they can’t bring your orders quickly, how do they have time to manage their restrooms?(Not being sarcastic… it’s the truth!) –Food here is pretty good! Fried pickles were yummy; good portions too! Carne asada quesadillas are also good! Cons: –Even at the slowest restaurants, water would be served first. We literally got our water an hour into our time there. And we had to ask first! –Very understaffed at the time. I understand it’s a late night, but to be honest, there were no more than 30 people(including 10 of us) in the restaurant. –Shots were inconsistent. Inconsistent portion and inconsistent taste! It was my first lemon drop and it was very okay. My friend got way more and I got so little, so we had to fill each other’s up halfway. –Really slow service… I really hate to bash on this, but service is so crucial to any restaurant. If you don’t have a good mood before you eat, people tend to have bad impressions about this place. We waited so long, and everyone was getting impatient. Why is there only one waitress serving everyone, and what were the managers and bar girls doing?! –Curly fries were a bit too salty… but at least they were hot! Tips/observations: –At least on Tuesdays(almost) everything is 50% off! Highly recommend getting food here… it’s pretty tasty! –Order all your food and drinks at once! It was bad timing because we got our drinks before food, so after food came we had already drank on empty stomachs. –Celery sticks are $ 1! They do NOT come with the chicken wings. –Tip is already included on your receipt! –You only get fries for the first set of wings you order with AYCE! Overall, if it wasn’t for my friend’s birthday and the fact they let us order chicken wings«in bulk» near the end, I probably would never come here again. I hope they can improve this chain and actually make Hooters a more customer friendly place!
