Hello everyone. I have the saddened news that the IHOPEXPRESS will be shutting its door this weekend. Its a shame — because their customer service especially to the sailors and officers at the Naval Base San Diego(32nd Street — Dry Side) has always been most excellent. Always going above and beyond the call of duty. I decided to sin and eat a very large breakfast today in support of the IHOPEXPRESS closing its doors. Food: I had ordered the Country Fried Steak Breakfast for $ 8.99. This included 2 sunny side eggs on the same plate as the country fried steak. The side dishes were grilled hashbrowns and 2 pancakes. You also had the option of choosing your own syrup at no extra cost. The country steak was well seasoned only a little dry. This might be because I saw a new line cook helping out and may be a lack of experience. He also could be a substitute for the regular line cook since I did not see him there today. The sunny side eggs could have been cooked 30 seconds less. I would have like them more runny and silky smooth. The portion was so large it could have easily two people. That being said: I was too full to eat the pancakes and hashbrown. I can say they lookes very delictable. Overall: Customer service most excellent. Slightly more attention to detail in the cooking dor it to be spot on. IHOPEXPRESS is the recipient of my second 4 star rating. Bravo Zulu(BZ). I BIDTHEMANAGEMENTANDSTAFFOFIHOPEXPRESS A BELOVEDFAREWELL. FAIRWINDSANDFOLLOWINGSEAS!!!

Old reliable!!! Same food… costs less!!! Manually input the address into your GPS. The Unilocal app takes you downtown.

A fast food version of Ihop. Quick omelets, bacon, sausage, pancakes, eggs. Basic breakfast food. This is located at the food court at the 32nd street naval station, next to the Exchange store. There’s nothing fancy about this place. This will get the job done if you want a greasy heavy breakfast and are already on base.

Since I can usually get equal or better shopping deals off base, I don’t come to this food court often. As noted by the previous review, the place is noisy. REALNOISY, but that is not due to anything specific about the iHop. I ordered the 2X2X2 meal along with a cup of coffee for $ 5.99. It consisted of scrambled eggs, 2 slices of bacon, and 2 pancakes. It only took about 5 minutes for my order, but I almost missed hearing my order announced, due to all the noise. Overall, the meal was«okay». The two thin slices of bacon were overly chewy and just mediocre in taste. They offer a few different syrup flavors to go with the two pancakes. It’s not as good as the old«unfranchised«place that used to be in the corner before the restructure but if you’re on base and wanting breakfast fare it is acceptable.

Located in the Food Court of the Main Exchange, I’ve eaten here a few times since they first opened back in 2010, mostly to redeem coupons and offers for free or discounted meals as they were only valid at this particular location. Well, the food is alright. They have a limited menu. While I do like IHOP, I will admit that there are better breakfast spots. This place is convenient only if you’re already on base. Wait times are usually not very long, but because it is located in a food court, it is very noisy inside.
