Very good coffee and pastries. Absolutely charming space that evidences the way contemporary redesign can«fit» naturally w a neighborhood. Helpful staff, lovely space.

Influx is the best coffee shop in town IMO. Live for their bagel sandwich creations and coffees. Clean modern ambience with pleasant small respectful crowds. Five Stars!!!

3THINGS: #1) Baked Tofu Vegan Sandwich = delicious. Soft bread, tasty tofu, delicious aioli. I love the curried tofu one too, but the simplicity of the baked tofu is what wins me over. #2) Iced Chai, made with real chai tea and PRE-brewed so it doesn’t melt all your ice when it’s poured in the cup(PETPEEVE). With coconut milk… it’s a dream. #3) Can we all just take a minute to talk about how wonderfully sweet and smart and lovely all the women that work here are? Don’t get me wrong, I much appreciate the tatted* up guys making my sandwich*, but these ladies hold it down at the barista/register stations. I’ll battle for parking so I can say hello to them, because it brightens my day. *Is it cool to say«tatted» anymore? I’m not sure. Maybe that makes me uncool. The point is, tattoos. And black t-shirts. Always. \m/ **To avoid sounding like a sexist jerk, I come here in the morning, so the guys are never working up front, and always doing food prep in the back. There are also women working in the back, and they are also included in my gushing praise.

After 17 check ins, I think I have been here enough times to make a solid review. I’m happy to say I live within walking distance from influx to get my coffee fix or just sit around and read a good book. For all you hipsters, hippies, urban, computer lovers, and even you book reading peeps while drinking your coffee this place is for you! The service is hit and miss, and that’s the only thing that stopped me from giving this place 5 stars. Besides that I’ll start with the menu, the prices are down right cheap, but the food isn’t! So far I have ordered the ham 2, and the turkey 1 off their menu, and I wasn’t disappointed. The turkey sandwich had chicken pesto in it, and to me that was the icing on the cake! The food will not let you down. I can’t really say too much about the coffee, since all I ever order from there is their white chocolate mocha… yeah it’s that good why would I want to order anything else? I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say the rest of their coffee drinks gotta be good too right? The place is well set up and enough space inside, and outside on their side patio to eat, drink, talk, surf the web, and read a good book while drinking some coffee… I know have already.

Went in for the croissant scrabble and they ran out of croissants at 10:00 a.m. Plus the guy working at the counter smelled like he hadn’t showered in weeks, the couches smelled like dog & it’s over priced. Would not recommend here.

Between ice coffee and cold brew i would go with their cold brew. Cool place. Open space. Handful of tables and a couch. Kind of plain nothing fancy. Didn’t try the food but I heard its pretty good. Overall cool decent local spot. Nothing id go out of my way for.

A lucky man, I am. I can drive about five minutes in any direction from my house and be on Influx’s front door. The problem is that I hadn’t visited in a while, but a recent to-go order made me remember how much I really like this little neighborhood hub. Throw $ 8.00 in your pocket and arm yourself with this little nugget of knowledge and you’ll be just fine… order«The Traditional» bagel. The Traditional: 7.95 Toasted bagel topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, red onion, capers and it is absolute perfection. No skimping on the essentials and you’ll feel instantly teleported to a small east coast deli with every bite. Drops mic.

I wish I could have something nice to say, and maybe my expectations were high due to the great reviews… but my experience was a little below average. The service was friendly, and the establishment was clean… but the food and prices were nothing to rave about. Let’s start with the BTC(bagel, bacon, tomato and cream cheese). For the price($ 4.95) I would expect to have an even spread of cream cheese… What I got was a toasted bagel and at first glance dry… but wait I guess when I got really close and looked sideways… I could see a faint white scraping of cream cheese on the top of half of one side of a bagel. I guess you could claim it was cream cheese, but I couldn’t taste it. They were very generous with the tomatoes(cheapest component), however the tomatoes were too ripe and had a mealy texture. Bacon was good and a fair amount was added. I also ordered the Caesar salad with chicken breast total cost for the salad was $ 9.45, and again for the price the salad was a disappointment. Lettuce had seen better days, and the half chicken breast on top was not the freshest. After one bite I decided not to risk it and tossed it. My cold brewed coffee was fantastic. My bill was around $ 17.00. If I ever go back, I will stick to just coffee.

The«Mozz 2» sandwich with an extra addition of grilled chicken breast is delicious. I also recommend the whole wheat bread for this. It’s so fresh and natural. I had to come back the next day for another one to keep it longer in my memories of my first visit to SD. I tried the vietnamese iced coffee here and they get it right. Have it!

Just eh. Every time. The glass area for food never looks appealing and staff are never very friendly. Due to location near school I end up here a lot for coffee and a study spot away from campus.

Great little place with some STRONG coffee! I came here during a break I had for some good cold brew to get me through the rest of my shift. Inside is very hipster with a cozy feeling and friendly atmosphere. The baristas were very kind and the coffee was good. I got and iced cold brew with a little coconut syrup added. The coffee was super strong(which I love) but I had to cut it with some water and milk to get past the bitterness but quality and price was on point! Overall great find!

Trendy place to get coffee and a bite and I really liked it! Good menu especially for vegetarians. The vibe is real chill and a great place to kick back in a quiet setting. I got the everything bagel because they were out of croissants & it was delicious. Seemed a bit pricey since all add ons are an additional fee but I would go back. Didn’t try the coffee this time. Parking is easy and service is ok. They aren’t rude or anything but not warm and friendly.

Since moving to Golden Hills, Influx has become my go-to choice for a quick pre-work breakfast or a midday weekend pick me up. My latest discovery is the breakfast bowl with brown rice, spinach, scrambled eggs with your choice of cheese, and your choice of bacon, ham, or veggie sausage. They can also make it with tofu, if you so desire. It’s tasty and feels much more healthy than a burrito bomb or carb heavy bagel. Having said that… before I discovered this, I usually ordered the spicy vegan, a plain or everything bagel with spicy hummus, tomato, and cucumber(hold the red onion). For coffees I usually opt for a light roast when I’m going hot(even the medium roast is a bit too strong for me here) and iced coffee over cold brew(although it’s delicious and I love it, it’s quite a bit more expensive than the regular iced, so I’d rather just make my own at home). I like that Influx offers a variety of milk options, including coconut milk which you don’t see everywhere. The staff are always friendly and helpful, too!

I would straight up fight my auntie for the last muffin at this place. I don’t care if my mom says it makes Christmas«awkward.» Great coffee, fair prices, friendly staff and perhaps best of all: your money isn’t going to another Starbucks.

Super hipster place, gosh I’m a sucker for these. I love the ambience and the food! There is more indoor seating than outside, and it’s got a lot of modern style couches and tables. Not really the cozy coffee shop feel, but still a great place to meet up with friends for breakfast, lunch, coffee, or brunch. I was probably there for a few hours just eating, relaxing, and talking to my friends. A lot of things on their menu appealed to me, croissant and bagel sandwiches! I settled on their traditional salmon bagel. It was a great meal back from my 1 week trip in New Orleans! I don’t think you can go wrong with smoked salmon on a cream cheese bagel. Also ordered their chocolate banana espresso shake. It’s pretty awesome, and doesn’t taste too heavy which I was expecting. You can definitely taste the espresso and I love that! However it’s not as mind blowing amazing as I was expecting, I probably wouldn’t order it again. I’m glad my friend brought me here, and I wouldn’t mind returning when I’m in the area again.

Stopped in last Friday for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. I’ve been to the Little Italy location, and this was my first time at the Golden Hill location. It’s cute, and can be hard to miss as it almost blends in perfectly with the neighborhood. I think the menus for all the locations are pretty much the same, but I’m not entirely sure. I saw a lot of the same items but there could be some varying factors. This location doesn’t have a lot of outdoor seating like Little Italy and North Park, and there’s only about 9 – 10 small(2 person tables) inside and then a long couch. The coffee is always great, but what I absolutely loved was their kale salad! I wish I would’ve taken a picture of it before I devoured it. It was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back

Looks can be deceiving. From the outside, the Influx coffee shop looks like a warm, cozy Victorian-style mansion. But the inside couldn’t be any more different — it’s all minimalist and modern. Not sure what else to say about the place. The blood orange tea is cheap and tasty. You could easily spend an entire afternoon on your laptop there. Street parking is easy. I like it.

In the mood for a iced Americano, and Influx is luckily one of the only local coffee places in the area that was open past 7pm. I usually visit the Little Italy location, but seems like this place always has better parking. Good coffee and fast service here. Only $ 2.50 for a 16 oz iced Americano coffee, very smooth espresso. Quiet location if you want to get some work done.
