Was in Saturday afternoon and our service was excellent, the waiter treated us like family. We sat on their outside patio and were promptly brought some delicious garlic bread. Our favorite salad is the Apple Walnut Salad which is amazing and the portions are huge. Definitely bring a friend or loved on to share these huge portions! We have gotten delivery a few times also which is dependable and they deliver the entire menu, which you can’t get anywhere else. Try the specialty pizzas like the Shrimp Pesto, 5 Cheese or Meat Combo, they really pack on the toppings and have great combinations, again most of their pizzas you cannot find anywhere else. As far as price, they are very reasonable, again the portions are definitely worth the cost,…they also have really good lunch specials during the week al;though we don’t work close. I suggest the Tiramisu for dessert!

Prelims: never actually ate here physically, but I’ve ordered to go and picked up pizza and lunch specials from here. Generally reliable for time — they usually estimate pretty accurately, which quite different from a lot of other places and chains. They have tons of specials, so just go to their website or on Unilocal and see what’s available, especially for lunch; I’ve gotten the pasta and salad and it’s not bad at all for something so quick. I had their fettucine alfredo with chicken; very standard, very creamy, some dry chicken, but I think it’s because they use pre-cooked chicken. Don’t quote me on this or use as a reliable guide re: this but it’s just the same texture and feel. Their tomato basil angel hair with shrimp is pretty reliable b/c there isn’t much to mess up — good, strong, bold flavors. Their best lunch special though is the chicken marsala with penne. I really like the sauce — it tastes just like it should and the chicken isn’t overly dry but nice and crispy exterior with a good soft interior. TL;DR Standard Italian fare — not the greatest, not the worst. Decidedly average.

Every company I’ve been employed with seems to always order this crap, I mean pizza. Perhaps it’s the only pizza place in the area that delivers? Whatever the reason, personally I find their pizza bland. Definitely nothing to get excited about. It’s like, you have the dough, tomato sauce and toppings that don’t have much flavor. It’s just a pile of stuff. I would probably put Leucadia a step above Papa John’s but below Pizza Hut. And I’m not even a fan of Pizza Hut. Actually, if you want better pizza, go to Pizza on Pearl. Now there’s some good shit! Now you can see why Leucadia only has 3 stars and Pizza on Pearl has 4.5…

This was one of my go-to places for a quick pizza/pasta fix when I was still living in the area. It’s an average Italian restaurant, nothing special or fancy, but they allow you to order online and then you can just swing by to pick up the order, which was very convenient. They also deliver too, so if you don’t have transportation, they have you covered too! The spaghetti was disappointing as the pasta was not even close to al dente in texture and the sauce was inconsistent — bland or super salty in different spots. But, their pizzas are definitely their stronger suit, so go for those. You can build your own pizza or go for one of the specialty pre-built ones. I’ve tried most of their specialty pizzas and there were all good — I particularly enjoyed the BBQ chicken one as well as the Ricotta, Spinach & Eggplant(no meat) one. The pizzas could do with a bit more toppings, but the mixture and ratio of toppings on these specialty pizzas were spot on. Overall, I thought it was a convenient and decent budget-friendly Italian restaurant.

I really like leucadias pizza. We order it at work all the time. The apple walnut salad is very good. The dressing is addicting! The Hawaiian pizza is good but my favorite has to be there white pizza with the basil. Oh the garlic bread is so right it’s wrong. It’s some of the best garlic bread I’ve had! It’s even a little sweet! The crust of this pizza is so good! I highly recommend trying this place out!

We live nearby and have been eating here since it opened over fifteen years ago. The food is always reliable. I like the eggplant parm and my husband often orders the chicken marsala. The salads are good but it is best to order the dressing on the side, for my taste they add too much dressing. Sunday nights they are usually slammed by delivery orders and it can be a bit slow. The wait staff is friendly and are often students. Sometimes it takes the new staff some time to get used to the pace but in general the service is very good. Overall this is a great place for a casual meal. If you want good Italian food with something on the menu for everyone this is the place to go.

Recently lunched on the Hawaiian pizza, the Margherita pizza, as well as the Thai Chicken Salad, and I have to say it’s a decent lunch for the money if you are in UTC, but I would not go too far out of my way for any of it. I may try a few more of their offerings and add another star if things go well, but for now it’s really«just ok»… Update: Had the Meat Combo pizza today and it was as good as it gets, adding a star for that one !

This is my absolute favorite place to go to for gluten free pizza — the location is close to where we live and we’ve always gotten great service. However, I called to place and order over the phone and have never experienced someone so rude(it almost made me want to cancel my order). We’ve always gotten great service here so I’m rather shocked. If I experience this type of service again, it may be time to order elsewhere. I’ll give it one more chance. **Update — I have since adjusted my 3 stars to 5 stars. I haven’t experienced poor customer service since that one incident, and their management is amazing. I will continue to go back. :)

Bad… where to begin? A friend and I were in the area recently and since I hail from Encinitas and the«original«Leucadia Pizza, I suggested we eat there for lunch. The La Jolla location had better hire some better cooks, STAT! Horrible Caesar salad(if you could call it that) watery pasta sauce on both the spaghetti with meatballs(one ball) and the chicken with marinara over rigatoni. I swear I doused it with salt and it didn’t make a damn bit of difference. Even the garlic bread sucked… best part if the meal was the cookie and that’s not saying much. I was embarrassed I had suggested this restaurant but I guess each location needs to pull their own weight… Staff was nice but the lack of patrons at lunchtime should have signaled a red flag. I’ll stick to N. County next time.

I should start by saying that I have never eaten at this location but that I have enjoyed Leucadia food many, many times over the course of the last few years. Leucadia is often our go to catering option when ordering food for work meetings and events. I have tried everything from their pizzas to their salads and pastas. I love their speciality pizzas especially the roasted garlic chicken and their pesto tomato. There standards, pepperoni and deluxe, are typical crowd pleasers. In all honestly, everything is pretty darn good and meeting attendees always seem satisfied. I especially like their service — ordering is always easy and delivery is reliable. Service is super friendly and they often take time to set up the food for me which is really nice. I find myself always hoping that there will be leftovers from the meeting so I can enjoy some Leucadia food for lunch the next day. Score!

We picked up some pizzas and wings to go. No complaints, but no immediate reasons to boast, either. We got the meat lovers and margherita personal pizza and were impressed by the size, but not so much by the taste.

This places delivery system is a joke, costly pizza with slow cold service. Takes over an hour and half every time when we are 10 minutes away and every single tin it’s cold, I have ordered from these people since the last year and service gets worse as time goes on. Very disappointed and will now never buy again. When I spend over 150 dollars a week I expect better results. Get your managers and people in check, going downhill fast

Great food, excellent selection(including non-dairy soy cheese), great service. We got a 10″ pizza each and split a small green salad(which is plenty big), leaving half of our pizzas for leftovers. The tomato sauce isn’t particularly flavorful. Crust was crispy and thin(didn’t have the chewiness of the NY style thin crust I love, but good).

Fantastic hotel room meal. A large pizza was just that — large. Fantastic sauce and ample toppings. The cookies were a great surprise! Opened the bag and there were plates, napkins, and Parmesan and crushed red pepper. You don’t get service like this from the big box stores! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER! The waiter was so rude and when he couldn’t figure out our split check and I tried explaining to him how to split it, he said«I’m not retarded you know» and we didn’t leave a tip and when we left the restaurant, he comes out yelling«are you serious! You better not fucking come back.» He was so rude and disrespectful. No one should ever speak to anyone like that. I don’t plan on ever going back to that restaurant, that experience was so ridiculous. He deserves to be fired. UPDATE/Response: My 5 friends and I came in on September 21.

I live close by so I’ve ordered here a few times. I haven’t physically eaten inside the restaurant but I’ve ordered to go. Service always seems great on the to-go side. Lobster Mac and Cheese — I love Mac and Cheese but this was just way too oily and the brandy cream sauce was too strong of a taste for me. I wouldn’t order this again from here. Shrimp Pesto Wheat crust — This was tasty! I would definitely order this again. The crust is kind of sweet too. Vegetarian Gluten Free — This wasn’t too bad for trying gluten free crust for the first time. It’s definitely more thin crust. It’s not as sturdy as your regular crust, a bit more flimsy. With the veggies it wasn’t anything extravagant but I guess healthy! What I do like about this place menu wise is that you can order a mini size pizza(individual size). So it works perfect if you are just ordering for yourself and don’t want a ton of pizza leftover.

Been here a handful of times and have been generally satisfied. Pizza and salads are good, fettuccine alfredo is bland(and I generally like plain food so that’s saying something). Customer service is great, but the delivery often takes longer than the estimate they give. Out of 5 orders, 2 were incorrect but after pointing it out they quickly refunded my card. All in all, a good place to work into the pizza rotation. Edit: I order plain cheese!

I’m a little confused by the low star ratings for Leucadias — I love this place! I’ve been coming here since I started going to school in San Diego and I’ve never been dissatisfied. My friends and I love it so much that we requested it to our coaches and they cater our pre-game meals now! The establishment itself isn’t mind blowingly gourmet or cutting edge, just flavorful and filling Italian. They garlic bread is free and comes out before you order — beware though, the bread is hard to stop eating so I often consume ungodly amounts of the bread and am too full to eat my entrée. To be honest, I don’t stray from my favorites so I can’t comment on much else, BUT their vodka penne pasta(add chicken!), apple walnut salad, and chicken Marsala are delicious every single time. The vodka penne sauce is a little creamy, a little tomato-ey, and has bits of pancetta mixed in for extra flavor. Their apple walnut salad is what you expect but the dressing… I can neither confirm nor deny the notion that I lick my plate clean of this balsamic goodness EVERYTIME I eat it. And the salad comes with big shavings of parmesan that add a salty bite to the mix. Lastly, the chicken Marsala is topped with penne and their creamy mushroom Marsala sauce with a side of veggies. Just Devine! Looking back on these meals as I type this in noticing one commonality– I love their sauces! Yup, that’s it and it’s reason enough to keep me coming back. Servers are typically younger and sometimes overwhelmed but I’ve never had a notably disappointing experience. I’ve also ordered their pizzas before and, for the area, they are one of the better ones around(except regents). All in all, I love Leucadias and am so thankful it’s close by and usually not too busy to get a seat. Hearty, saucy, delish!

Good choice coworkers! We had the pepperoni w/cheese, the veggie and the mushroom/pepperoni. I want to order and try the Lobster garlic! Wait, is that market price? I kid. It comes w/garlic butter to dip and peppercini. The dough is soft and doughy makes me want to kick my shoes off. The crust is puffy and they are generous w/the toppings. The sauce tastes fresh like made from scratch. Definitely will order delivery and try more items. My favorite Pear-Gorgonzola Arugula is on the menu. Look forward to tasting that. Good pizza if you are a pizza lover
