Mi Tierra Restaurant

Apparently, after the Chula Vista Mi Tierra closed down they opened this one here in San Ysidro without ever leaving any notifications on their old store window.
Glad to have found them since Mi Tierra is hands down the best Mexican food from a taco shop that I know of. Now, I have the option of driving a few miles south, and no longer have to rely on traveling only to the National City location. Both Mi Tierra’s are the same distance away from me in distance, time and space but at least I have the option, although, the Broadway Chula Vista was most convenient being in the SouthBay.
The caldo de res during a cold December day hits the spot every time and the tortillas are made fresh in store. Best caldo de res anywhere!!! Even better than elder woman in the familia can cook.

Yummy carne asada burrito! Cheap too, only $ 4.95. They filled it full of meat, beans, onions, cilantro and guac. Glad they did not add rice (filler). I could not finish the burrito and I am stuffed.
