Wow! This place has turned around for some reason. The staff hustles and they’re so on top of it. Makes it that much better now. Yaye!

It’s been a while since I left the first review and I can say that my experience has changed over the years I had my machine. I Thought that Bloomingdales closed at 9 like the rest of the mall. I made the mistake and walked in at 8:00 and heard the intercom say they are closed and will reopen at 10 tomorrow morning. Hearing this, my very pregnant 7 ½ month self rushed over to their counter and asked if it was to late to ring up. It’s not like I was going to sample 23 different pods before I purchase, I know what I want. I then let the gentleman know I didn’t realize this store closes at 8, not nine. Uninterested in trying to help at all, with a little sass, he says no, we closes at 8. I work in customer service, and I still take services 5 minutes before the shop closes. Even when services can take up to an hour, I just wanted something that makes me human in the mornings, not a miracle makeover! This sale would have taken but 2 minutes to ring up and bag. I guess from now on, I will order online from now on and never have to deal with sass from an underpaid, unhappy to work nights, staff. I deal with all kinds of clients through out my 10 hour days, it’s really up to the person to be willing to want to help, and in this case, they don’t want to help. I think I’ve gotten better service from forever 21 where the staff probably make a few bucks less an hour!

I was happy to find this store in Bloomingdales. I usually order my pods all online(super fast shipping via Nespresso). Since I was in the area I went inside to buy coffee. It was so busy because of the holidays. I wish they had an express lane for those people already knowing what they want to purchase. They have taste testing at this location which is fabulous, but for those just wanting pods they shouldn’t have to wait as long as people tasting. Great coffee!!! I’ll prob stick to ordering online. All the staff were very professional.

Nespresso needs to improve the capsules buying process. Customers shouldn’t have to wait in line for 20 minutes just to buy capsules.

everyone who’s been here knows it requires zen like patience from your inner being to buy coffee pods. i love the look of our machine & the coffee it makes & our little milk/soy frother. the customer service is fine but please please please i beg you create two lines. one for coffee pod purchases only & another line for those who are interested in the machines and sampling the coffees. the group of three gals in front of me were the sample coffee & compare machines category and even though i’m patient i watched as they all got their fresh coffee, tore each individual pack of sugar, stirred it, sipped their coffee and asked questions as if there wasn’t a line of like 7 people behind them. it just makes sense to have two lines, hopefully someone reads this. nespresso beats keurig any day.

Super annoyed! I got a machine for Christmas and was stoked to use it. No problems yet. Great coffee and love the frother for the Vertuoline. Not really thrilled you can only purchase the pods online or at a Nespresso but thankfully I found one at Bloomingdales. Now here is where the 1 star comes in. The wait just to purchase pods that you already know you want is ridiculous. They have 1 line for customers who want to purchase pods they already want and for those that have no idea what they want, which makes the wait even longer bc those that have no idea what they want could take 30−40min tasting and testing out machines/talking to the sales associate. I asked if I could just quickly grab the pods and pay for them but they rudely responded with a «no» which annoyed me and the other customers who wanted to just purchase pods. This place sucks! Horrible customer service! Update! My purchase was for $ 44 and I checked my bank account last night, and saw that the sales associate swiped my card for $ 87! I even have a receipt to prove it! Seriously dude?! You tell me it’s for $ 44 and give me a receipt for $ 44 but swipe it for $ 87!!! How stupid can you get? I called the Nespresso hotline and complained and thankfully they were very courteous and are in the process of refunding. This review is just for this specific store location.

The Worst customer service on the planet! I received pods for Christmas that did not fit my Vertuoline machine. I went to the Only Nespresso store in all of San Diego to exchange them. I didn’t ask for any money or to return their item, only to exchange for something I can actually use in my machine. They not only refused to exchange their own product but were extremely rude & condescending in the process. I will Never go there again & I will and have discourage people from going there. I suggest you shop for your machine at Sur la Table. Great, great service with knowledgeable people. Order your coffee pods from Nespresso on line. Also great service. They happily exchanged the pods for me. Don’t put up with terrible service and rude people.

This is the second machine that we bought and get it home, set it up and it doesn’t work! The last one we had to ship it in to be repaired even though we never even used it once! There’s nothing worse than getting excited to use your new machine, getting home during the busy holiday season and then wasting a bunch of time energy and frustration to realize we got yet another faulty machine. Yay! Now let’s see when we can possibly make time during this already chaotic and busy holiday season not to mention we have a 2 year old, trying to bring her into the store is not fun to even think about. HUGEINCONVENIENCEANDDISAPPOINTMENT. I just don’t get it, they seem like such a high quality brand but then again I’m not talking about the 5 star customer service, just the product. Not happy at all. Now I just received a new machine in the mail today. This machine actually makes noise like it’s going to start unlike the last 2 that we had. Except this machine is STILL defective!!! No water comes out, the machine is garbage! I HATE Nespresso and want nothing to do with them but since my husband wants this as a Christmas gift I’m suffering with trying to make defective machines work. I’m not a magician and these products are garbage. Complete shit, they belong in the garbage and I’m very tempted to throw the whole machine and capsules in the garbage except I value money and these machines are not cheap I guess you could say. I still think it would make me feel better knowing someone else won’t have to deal with this piece of shit garbage. Never again. Seriously this time.

Deceptive advertising. Unfriendly poor customer service. Christmas special in large bold print: «Spend $ 100 and get $ 15 off! at a boutique store». Not that great a deal at Christmas time a shopping mall with $ 8 parking but this is one of the few deals they offer. Did not see the easily missed fine print: you only get the $ 15 off if you buy an overpriced accessory. It can’t be used for already overpriced coffee alone. One employee said«you can buy some sugar for $ 8 — the lowest priced accessory — and then get the discount.» I asked the manager on duty to honor the offer without the accessory and he refused saying it was ok to return the Nespresso machine to Bloomingdales and END being a Nespresso customer. All this over $ 15 and a misleading ad. He did not care. I reported the incident to the general manager of Bloomingdales who said they were aware of the poor service of this boutique and have spoken with them numerous times. If you like the coffee, don’t go there. Buy coffee on-line.

Shout out to Rianne D. for having another birthday to celebrate and me not having a clue on what to get her… until I remembered she owns a Nespresso machine. I found myself here in June standing in the same line I told myself I would *never* stand in every time I saw a long line forming as I shopped through Bloomingdales. Well, being the good friend that I am, I stood in line as I stalked Rianne’s IG page to try to remember which colored capsules she drinks. That effort was wasted since the Nespresso employee was able to look up her account info for me. Score for the ease of that and kudos to Nespresso for making all the capsules different colors for us to differentiate from. Here’s the part that got me, the Nespresso gal asked if I would like a complimentary beverage. I politely declined since I mentioned I don’t drink espresso since I’m more of a coffee drinker. Well golly gee wilickers, she informed me of their *new* Nespresso Virtuoline that brews coffee and I ought to try it. Complimentary coffee you say? Who am I to decline a cup. Here’s when I realized *why* people stood in line, their coffee is pretty damn good. When I learned of this Virtuoline that was sold in a bundle with an Aeroccino(basically a feel-like-a-barista, milk frother), I wanted to just tell her to take my money. Reality was, I should consult with my husband before purchasing another small kitchen appliance, so that I did and found myself back here with the hubby in tow so he can try out the goodness. He was sold, but that was no surprise to me. Unfortunately, the Virtuoline with the chrome finish isn’t sold at Bloomingdales, but we purchased our Virtuoline at nearby Sur La Table at the same mall. It’s been four months since we’ve purchased our Virtuoline and we love it. We still give our Keurig some love, but when we want to feel a little more of a kick in caffeine and great tasting coffee, our cute, chrome-finished Virtuoline is there and ready for me to brew the next cup of joe. Side note: if you’re on the fence about getting a Nespresso machine, try a complimentary cup, BUT remember to stand in line with the rest of us Nespresso cult followers. Please don’t be that punk that just walks up to the counter totally oblivious to the line of us giving you the dart eyes. Lol, but not really.

The care and service that this little store within a store(Bloomingdales) has is great! Proud owners of Nespresso and potential proud owners can experience the latest promo coffees with some AMAZING creamer. You’ll be amazed at how smooth is goes down! Upon greater interrogation, I learned that the milk is imported from Europe! Either I’m a fool for believing it, or it’s true! But the taste really is amazing. Über props for being a collection point for Nespresso recyclables.

I really love the Nespresso’s Coffee, but go to the Nespresso Boutique is a nightmare! There is a big line to buy coffee! Last time I stay for 30 minutes in the line — 30 minutes to buy coffee. Really? The staff is great, actually, they are the reason that I go there. They know everything about coffee and if you want you can try a free cup of Nespresso — for me is the way that Nespresso has to reward the customer who stood in line

5 stars well deserved for Scott, the employee who helped both my husband and myself to cup of coffee here last Friday morning. Nepresso is my husband’s favorite beverage of choice now, ever since we visited the Nespresso Bar in San Francisco last summer. I got the hint and bought him a machine for Christmas last year and since then, it seems like we go to a lot of Nespresso boutiques. When we entered Bloomingdale’s, we headed straight for the Nespresso counter(first floor, right next to the escalator) for a sample of their espressos. If you want a larger sample, you can request something from their new Vertuoline line. These sampled drinks come in a large cup with cover(with a hole you can drink out of). Anyways, there were 2 employees working this counter. When my husband walked up to the female employee, she was busy and told my husband to have the other employee help him. Scott was so friendly and helpful. He and I chatted about the way coffee is made and how Nespresso does a good job in sealing their capsules so that it gives you that fresh taste when you make it(unlike another type of machine that may leave a stale taste when the pods are used because the pod is not sealed tightly). He really gave both my husband and I his full attention. He was talkative and made me feel appreciated(even though I was just there for their free sample and was not planning on purchasing anything at the this time). Too bad not all employees are like Scott. You can tell he really loves coffee and really has a passion for it(he told us that his family roasted and grown their own coffee beans). Will definitely be sure to come back here the next time I am shopping at the Fashion Valley Mall.

I absolutely hate the feeling of having to go to a Bloomingdales, of all places, to get my Euro coffee-junkie fix, home machine capsules. Back out east, I just had them ship these to our home, but the shipping does add up. So, we discover this Nespresso outlet right inside Bloomis. By way of reference, the flagship store in South Beach, Miami is huge. This stand is tiny and cramped, but does offer all product varieties & flavors, A-Z. Their customer service is pleasant and very professional. However, the problem is the queue and how slowwww it moves. C’mon, it is just bloody coffee and not ultra-designer handbags. There are many folks in the queue that act as if they are trying on 10 pairs of shoes in 5 different colors and 3 kinds of exotic leather patterns. These nimrods will take their sweet time(sipping these new-found exotic things aka Nespresso coffee shots) and are oblivious to those standing in line, growing impatient as they just want to buy their fix and get on with their day. George Patton comes to mind — ’ lead, follow or get the bleep out of the way ‘. Nespresso, fix this concept and have a fast-track lane for shoppers loading up on their capsule stash and then an all-the-time-in-world line for the chic luxury brands cravat crowd that will vacillate over capsule A vs B vs C for what seems to be an eternity. Oh là là!

Excellent customer service. So kind and patient even when there’s a hectic line. Applause for the two gentlemen manning the fort! My coworker and I were standing in line and the woman ahead of us was taking longer than usual. As were standing, others behind us were growing impatient. So they leave. We continue to wait for our turn in line as the other cashier offers us a drink. Of course you can’t say no to Nespresso ;) it was my coworkers first time purchasing the pods and the gentleman was so kind and patient I appreciated his efforts :) thumbs up!

Very rude service from Daniel the Team Leader. This is just one of a few rude encounters I’ve experienced at this Nespresso location in this particular Bloomingdales. I have little confidence in the HR department of both of these merchants for hiring such cheeky and discourteous employees.

OMG this is the best part of the entire mall. I bought pods for our machine. They gave us free samples which was really cool because we got to drink espresso while we shopped. All the chain stores need this place inside.

My husband wanted a Nespresso as soon as he learned about it and so for Father’s day back in 2011, I got him one. He deserved it since he drinks a lot of coffee and lattes in the morning. My husband is also a coffee snob so this was the perfect item for him. Nespresso is much bigger in Europe, in fact, we saw the stores everywhere, yet this store is the only one close enough to us and even then, it’s still quite a hike for us. Anyway, we came here to get matching cups and travel cup for him and new coffee flavors to try. The sales people here are very friendly, not pushy and as soon as they know which one we have, they are very accommodating and even allow us to try some of the coffees they have brewing. We prefer to come here over buying stuff online because the customer service is just that great. We love our Nespresso, I may get my husband a smaller one for his desk at work. I’ve made a lot of fun flavors with this machine and it’s definitely smooth and never bitter.
