Spicy Chicken as good as it gets. plenty of room to sit, order more pieces if you are hungry. they are kind of small pieces of chicken and I end up going back in the evening to get more.

Hair in my chicken not once, but twice. The second time, the manager threw the food away real fast and said that there wasn’t any hair in there after all and I was mistaken. I showed him the picture I had taken of the hairy drumstick, and he just turned around and walked away. I gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first time, but the way it was handled when it happened again proves that they don’t care. Do yourself a favor, got 5 – 6 miles west on El Cajon Blvd to Crispy Fried Chicken, and have some real bird. Without the unwanted fibers.

80% of the time this place screws up my order. I really wish they would stop doing that, because I freaking love Popeyes! Several times I order spicy chicken tenders and they give me regular tenders. Several times I have asked for Sweet Heat sauce and they give me Ranch. This last visit caused me to leave this Unilocal review finally. I ordered three #7’s for me and a couple friends, which include 5 pieces of tenders. I get home, hand out the meals, we’re all starving and ready to eat… each meal had 2, maybe 3 measly chicken tenders in them. And not full size tenders either! They were kids meal size, nuggets basically. Anyway, I hope these kids are getting paid minimum wage or below for their lack of simple skills. I’m just glad they’re working at Popeyes and not somewhere important where they could screw up more serious things.

Food is always great though sometimes they make you park somewhere else and you have to wait for your order in the car. Customer service isnt great. The ladies that work there dont speak english very well so its hard to understand sometimes and they sound like they hate their job.

Worst customer service by employees and management! Our order was wrong and we tried to call but got the answering machine and then we went online to complain and receive a reply form the online customer service who said that we can bring in the email and receipt and the order will be replaced. Not the case when we go to the store the Manager Ruben was very rude and didn’t want to place our order due to the fact that it didn’t show on our receipt what we we order and the order was not what we ordered. He is very rude and no good customer service for a manager to argue with your customers over a order that was only 4.00 and we were not trying to get over we just wanted our ordered correct and the fact when you order through drive through and your employee is rude and you get home to eat your meal who wants to drive back and get the correct order that’s why you call to complain but you get the answer machine at this location? Basically he said he didn’t want to write up a report on why he replaced our order and that and that the online complaints they don’t know what they are talking about because he makes the decision! Really but over 4.00 and whos chicken is it? Don’t go to this Popeyes !!! They don’t value their customers and employees and management can treat however they want!!!

Just moved to the area and for Popeye Chicken I have found this one to be a really good one. Very clean, parking is okay not a problem. The beverage machines are filled and ready to go. It’s also quiet and that’s a must for me thanks

Warning: This is not a review of the taste of their food nor their service, it is a review of their stench. I have passed by several Popeyes; however, this was the first where I encountered the problem, so this is where I will leave the review. Congratulations CEO of Popeyes, you have successfully created a chain of restaurants that a pedestrian can smell on the other side of the lot. If this was your intention to bring customers in, you have done a great job. But if you have ever heard of the common courtesy to not wear strong perfumes in a public workplace, for your clients may be allergic, then that should hold true for your food stench as well. I would be much more cordial with you if the smell of your food stayed within the confinements of your establishment, but if I cannot freely park anywhere near Vons to go grocery shopping without being hit in the face with your greasy smell, then there is a problem. To some, the smell may make their mouths water and it may get them to walk in with a trance, but for others like myself(especially since I’m a vegetarian), I come close to puking every time I go to Vons or am driving by in traffic. I am all for you making your building smell like greasy fried chicken, but it is disrespectful to mankind to have the smell waft out into the environment and mother nature. Please, Mr. President of the company, I beg of you, to make it a new policy for your chains to keep the smell inside. Since my encounters with this establishment, I have run into the same problem twice since moving to the east coast. And both times I said, «man, it smells like Popeyes,» and little do I know, it turns out there is a Popeyes somewhere to my left.

I love Popeyes in general. They serve the best chicken. This location needs new manager or new employees. I stopped twice and I got different order and it was waaay to oily. Try somewhere else.

I mean it’s Popeye’s. I guess I only expect so much from a restaurant chain. Their Hawaiian lunch was broken so I died a little today. The chicken strips are delicious. The mashed potatoes are okay. Macaroni and cheese sucks. Biscuits are good. It is however a huge turn off seeing all that food sitting under a heat lamp as soon as you walk-in. Place is clean and workers are friendly.

Everything tasted good and looked ok. the chicken tenders crust is kind of strange looking. but any place that charges for condiments is on my mediocre list, even if it is 10 cents. 1 small ranch is not enough for three big pieces of chicken. customer service is awesome but that’s not why I came here. I came to eat and not get charged for ranch. anyway food is decent, customer service awesome, business practices not so good. billion dollar companies shouldn’t charge for condiments. vote with your dollar

The employee at this popeyes are beyond disrespectful. They were rude form the moment I pulled into the drive through to the moment I left. I ordered the shrimp box and they never took my drink order. Once, I arrived at the window, they handed me a drink and once I asked what it was because my order was never taken, the lady replies rudely«a coke» as if I was supposed to know this. I don’t drink soda so that was a problem, and once I asked her to change it because I never ordered a soda, sh snatched the cup so hard from my hard that it almost fell. I will never come to this location and honestly, any other location. I believe your job is all about customer service because without customers you have no money & without money, there is no business. So why wouldn’t you treat all of your customers with respect?

I come here pretty regularly as it has become somewhat of a ritual for me to come on Tuesday’s for their daily special in addition to using coupons I frequently get. While the chicken is usually fresh the sides can be lacking. There have been a few times where I’ve ordered their Cajun fries and received cold-limp potato sticks instead. I’d just say ask for the food fresh just in case. The customer service is undoubtedly the worse part of this location as it is very hit-or-miss. While I’ve dealt with nice people there, there have been some rude wenches that sour the transactions and conversely the food with their pettiness. For example, once I was with my friend and we ordered our food for dining-in. Remembering we had a show to watch at my house we changed our minds and opted to take it to go. When I politely asked the employee to switch our order to go, she muttered something in Spanish and rolled her eyes. When I asked my Spanish-speaking friend what she had said, he said she sarcastically replied, «Why didn’t you order it to go in the first place?» At least they’re pretty quick with the orders.

Paid $ 7 for a chicken dinner and asked for one additional BBQ sauce. Was told $ 0.10 extra. Will never come back.

I can’t ever recall being in a restaurant on El Cajon Blvd that was cleaner than this one. The restroom was very clean and the floors didn’t reveal the truth about the oily cuisine being cooked and served here. And the chicken, I can’t say that KFC was ever that good. While the spices on the KFC original recipe are a bit tastier, if you’re an extra crispy spicy kinda guy/gal then Popeye’s chicken will be for you. Luckily I live in North County with a 30 mile deterrent.

This is not my first time coming in but this review I felt was warranted. TV& internet both advertise the SPICEBOXCHICKEN includes fries & biscuit for $ 3.99, but at this store it’s at $ 4.99. I’ve paid for it once before at that price but today I go in and not only is the media board price of the $ 3.99 covered up with a handmade sign stating it’s $ 4.99 but with another bigger sign stating«SOLDOUT»!! I asked what’s this all about and the young lady could only reply with«order something else» Ok, I said — what’s comparable? She recommends a combo meal for $ 6.99 or another one for $ 7.99. I asked how that was comparable and she stated the chicken was bigger, really — they know this by weight or sight with all the breading on it? I said what’s comparable with the $ 4.99 price — «Nothing» she replied and turned away from me and wiped a tray down! There were no other customers in line for her to help and only one other couple in the restaurant. Customer service — Grade F and I will not be returning to this location. I’ll visit another location though to see about their pricing and service and hope for better results. If the same, Popeyes will never see my business again.

I took an online survey for Popeyes. When it was finished, I was given a code to print out a coupon for a 2 piece chicken dinner with a biscuit. I went into this Popeyes to use it, and the cashier informed me that they didn’t have that. So I said, «no problem, I’ll just go to Jack in the Box, and will call Corporate Monday morning.» This is the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered at a fast food restaurant, and since I never eat at Popeyes anyway, I’ll never return, but I WILL call Corporate.

I have to say I like their chicken, but more specifically their spicy Louisiana chicken tenders. I ordered their 3 chicken tender combo for $ 5.99 which came with a biscuit, a drink, and I side of your preference. I had the mash potatoes with gravy. The tenders were perfectly fried.( ) They were very crispy on the outside and the all white chicken was very tender on the inside.( ) The spice was perfect because it still aloud you to enjoy the tender, but the heat was definitely present, in a good way. I really enjoyed these Louisiana tenders. The biscuit was good. It was well baked. It was not flaky but light never the less. It had a light butter flavor and was moist on the inside.( ) The mashed potatoes and gravy were good too, but they were simple, then again, what do you expect from mash being served on a little styrofoam cup.( ) The place was clean for the most part. They seem to clean tables as soon as the customers would get up and leave. The service was good, but it could of been a little more friendly at the register. Hands off my tenders people!
