I needed someone to remove and replace a big entry door and found S. D Door Svcs on Unilocal.They had great reviews so I called them. I had Ernie and Mario servicing my door in a very timely manner. Great team, efficient, clean and dependable. They took care of our issue in no time. What I was impressed with, is that they thought out the process and executed the best plan for the door while paying attention to detail. As a property manager, I have found a new contact for my future door needs. It was a pleasure dealing with a courteous and professional staff.

Ernie and Mario were at my home within (2) hours of my phone call to Ernie. Due to the design on the sliding door that I had them come look at; they couldn’t do anything about the rollers.
So, they cleaned and lubed the track; additionally left me with the can of lube they used to clean both sliders and the screen doors.
They are awesome!
I asked what I owed them, they said «lunch». I asked $ 20, $ 40?, they only took $ 20.00.

Call and ask for Ernie. Best door guy in San Diego, super honest & reliable. He was referred to me by my locksmith friend and he really impressed me with his full service door-​ing. You know how when you hang a new door the hinge cutouts you had made are never lining up, the deadbolt hole is off a little, etc? Well Ernie takes care of all of it. He went and measured the custom-​sized door and all the cuts needed for hinges, doorknob, locks, etc, had it made, then hung it. He then even waterproofed it for me like 8 coats, and color-​match painted it for me, all for one flat fee, agreed to upfront.
For smaller EXTERIOR doors like mine, there is a normal 3-​week wait time for it to come back from the factory, unless you pay through the nose for a rush 3day turnaround. Because mine was a security issue, I had to do the rush.
Its really just Ernie and his brother-​in-​law at this point, but Ernie handled all in the greatest manner I could have imagined. He said he is from one of the large old SD door companies that went out of business. I am sure he will do well on his own!
