Seasons Sportfishing

We booked seasons after a recommendation from some fellow fishermen. They said Duane would be the guy to put us on! So we booked, the first convenient weekend. Found out a bit later Duane ended up starting his own business, I believe Pinnacle Sportfishing. But we went regardless. We spoke to Jaime multiple times, the last time, 3 days before our trip. We stressed what we were looking for and Jamie assured us he would get us on!!!
Fishing day came, we headed to they’re smaller boat with Pablo, he was charming and all around great guy. But informed us that our $ 1200 yellowtail fishing full day at the islands would be better spent offshore for an additional $ 300. So a $ 1500 total for 4. Having just been skunked fishing the same area the week prior we reluctantly agreed. In any case we went fishing, was pretty bad fishing as we expected but found 3″ Doritos” and didn’t get lucky trolling for Wahoo. Definitely not the day we were planning. The weather was great so the birthday boy had a decent time. Pablo made it as good as it could have been.
My complaint would be, a lack of a courtesy call. Letting us know that the trip we were planning and had set on for 2 months was unavailable due to bait or for whatever reason and that a $ 300 surcharge was in order to try something else. Giving us an opportunity to reschedule or make adjustments would seem to have been the proper thing to do. I’m certain that Seasons knew at least day prior what was happening out there and planned accordingly. Having clients who woke up at 3am and arrived at 530 at the dock, choose between fishing for rockfish ($ 1200) or taking a chance for larger tuna ($ 1500) was not the appropriate time or place for that discussion.

Had a great day fishing with Duane and seasons! He was super dialed and got us on a bunch of fish. Boat and gear was all top notch, pretty much just step on board and get ready to crush fish!
