Great place to find stolen surfboards, and should you wish to sell your surfboard should be great as they are very good at ripping people off on prices, so you should get a real good price on selling anything to them an they would sell to someone with extortionate profits.

Stopped by this store to start my surfing career about a week ago and I have bombarded these guys with question almost everyday since. Ori spent almost an hour with me, trying on wet suits, explain board lengths, and generally preparing me for all the fun I was about to have. I found the perfect wetsuit and got all the advice I needed to properly care for it and have it last for years to come. It was really awesome working with Ori because he never tried to «sell» me the most expensive thing; we would start with a good, cheap model and he would explain what I was looking for in a wet suit and how it should fit. eventually I just ended up with one of the most expensive suits in the store. I didn’t feel pressured or convinced to get it, it just felt natural and comfortable and we had tried 5 – 6 before and after and I still kept coming back to it. On top of all that he opened the store a few minutes early just for me because I was hanging around outside and was so welcoming. I doubt I will ever buy surfing equipment from any one but Ori because he just seems so knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to share what he love todo.
Then I met Katie and I realized everyone at this store is just an amazing person. I’m sure I talked her ear off about how broke I was and how I still needed to save for a board and all the usual woes of being in your twenties but she put up with it all and continued to help me and work with me to find the perfect board with in my price range. Just like Ori, I didn’t feel rushed, I didn’t feel pressured, I felt like a truly valued costumer and that their primary goal was not to sell me something but to see me have an amazing time out on the water.
This should be your FIRST stop for anything surf related because even if you don’t buy something you will be walking out of there with something. Personally, I walked out with a huge smile, a new wet suit, and 100 times better knowledge of surfing.

Love this place, amazing costumer service. They don’t try to ripe you off, but actually care about you and make sure that you get the best board. Also they give you great tips about surfing. We bought really nice 2 boards for 330 $ and swim suit for 43 $. They have amazing deals as well. Basically I love this place and if you are new at surfing and look for basic gears, I highly highly recommend it!

When are you open, I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes and it’s 2pm on sat. I’m about to drop some $$$ on gear.

I LOVE South Coast Closeouts! Its the same as other South Coast’s but everything discounted. The manager said the other shops don’t have room for their last season clothing and wetsuits so it comes to this store. Its right around the corner from their guys and girl’s store on Newport in Ocean Beach. Come here if you’re lookin’ for a deal!
