I came in here with some friends twice and it had such a good vibe. My bartender, Holly, was super nice and accommodating. I had never been here before. so she was able to give me recommendations. The happy hour deals were ridiculously good! $ 3 for wells, beer, and house wine ! Fresh lime juice with our margaritas! And sliders 2 for $ 3! Can’t beat it in OB! Will be back :)

This place is the best neighborhood bar ever! The bar staff is so personal and friendly ! Wow talk about customer service if all businesses could run this way they would be a success. Great food snd atmosphere, everyone is nice. That’s what we need in this world today, right?

I love this bar. I will preface this review by saying I’ve only had the small privileged sample size of two visits but I must say I’ve been SO impressed with the service. On my first visit, my server caught me watching the Dallas Stars on my phone and volunteered(!!) to put them on a TV for me. I usually get a dirty look other places when I ask for such a thing so I didn’t try with them. On the second occasion, they played the Spurs game without hesitation. Has become my San Diego bar without question!

Great happy hour deals, The fish tacos were the bomb. Very friendly staff and a «locals» feel. I plan on visiting more now that«winter’ is upon as, I tend to stay at venues that are more open air during the nicer weather but this is def. a great spot with a «cheers» feel. Definitely sports ball friendly: D

Messed up our pick up order forgot a sandwich. When I called to ask about the missing sandwich the guy said we had never ordered it but I explained he had charged us for it. He still argued so I gave up and will never be eating there again.

When you walk in, it looks like a typical bar with pool tables. I ordered a turkey burger and it was delicious. The bun was like a fresh potato bun and the turkey burger was juicy. It was an ample sized burger and the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh. I think it tasted better than Hodads. If you are looking for a great burger, you wont be disappointed.

Arizona is by far my favorite bar in OB. Its very spacious, clean & comfortable. All of the bartenders are helpful, and attentive. You don’t have to wait long for a drink even if its busy. The drinks and food are great and the prices are fair.

Grilled fish tacos were really good! So were the fries. Their happy hour specials were great. Only reason not giving it 5 stars is because we ordered fries and the girl forgot to put the order in and when we asked her about it she told us she never put it in but it’s okay we weren’t in a rush and get how she could forget it was just a little annoying but other than that it was great!

we came 5 minutes after happy hour ended(6:35) and our bartender asked if we wanted to squeeze a happy hour order in. i already love this place. but what is TRUE love? a place that discounts a pint of sculpin to $ 3 during said happy hour. this will not be forgotten!!! they also have outstanding beer battered fries.

I didn’t know they had veggie burgers until a friend surprise me with one other day! Very tasty. Good fries. Onion rings are so crispy! Save your time and money and don’t even bother with Hodads(feel free to read my review there). No complaints!

Absolutely best bar food. Try the sliders. I was reluctant to go here out of nostalgia for the old Arizona, R.I.P., but it stands on its own as a great spot.

Good food and fun drink specials. Also a fun place to play pool. Garret is a great bartender. He makes sure everyone is having fun and gets what they ordered.

I heard this is a place you can go for a burger when your hunger-level won’t allow you to endure the Hodad’s line, and I think I agree. I got the burger, no cheese, with onion rings, and it was pretty damn fine. The onion rings were crispy(although they’re could have been more of them) and the burger was fresh and juicy. The pickle looked a little aged. Service was on point but we went in on Memorial Day around midday and we were the only ones in the place. They also have a fairly impressive beer selection, and some pool tables.

The service, food and atmosphere make this a truly special place. We love the bartenders and waitstaff– everyone is always so friendly and fun! Garrett, curly, holly and Dave are gems! Get the turkey sliders, add avocado and bacon. You are welcome. And the Gorgonzola sandwich is on point!

Cool spot. Owned by sunshine and offers a few tables. Tacos are pretty on point and the beers on tap never disappoint. Nice pregame/end the night spot

Staff is very friendly but the Arizona burger was horrible. Cooked to perfection. For a hockey puck! I will come back but not for the food.

So I totally fell in love with most of the bars we visited on our recent four-day weekend in San Diego, but this was one of my favorites. We spent an afternoon paddle-boarding and then tanning on the beach before walking over to AZ. Our group of six had trouble finding a spot sitting together as the Seattle-Denver game finished on every screen in the packed bar. Thankfully most of the bodies cleared out after the game and we had prime real estate at a table near the bar in the back corner. Service was awesome! From the bouncer, to our waitress, to the bartender that joined our group for a quick drink after his shift. Everyone was so friendly!(We had lots of people help us, but the receipt says Kim K., so she gets extra kudos) We drank a few pitcher of beer and several mixed drinks.(Hey, it was vacation and we weren’t driving!) Coors Lite pitchers were only $ 6.50, Lagunitas $ 9.50, and our well-vodka mixes were $ 3 each. Yes, this magical place of cheap drinks on a Sunday really does exist. And for the frosting… they had tacos on their happy hour menu. Pork sliders $ 3, happy hour fried sampler $ 3(with awesome fried jalapenos, onions, cheese, and more!) and tacos for me. Yep, only $ 3! Our hungry table enjoyed all the plates — taco shells were fresh and the carnitas filling was great too! I’d definitely order them again. Lots of TVs here and a couple pool tables too. We didn’t play though, and instead continued our adventures elsewhere as the sun began to set and the Über driver appeared to take us closer to home. But we’ll be back! I definitely look forward to stopping back in here on my next San Diego vacation!

Not sure if I should be giving it one or two stars… the only reason it gets two is because I liked the atmosphere for a sports bar. It has enough tv’s that you can watch from wherever you’re sitting. They had a cheap beer special, which was nice. However, the food was awful. The linked page on Unilocal has really old prices. If they were those prices then the food would be worth it. I ordered the turkey tacos. I got them about ten minutes after my friends who got burgers received their food. Not only that, but the tacos are smaller than my hands. I have child hands, like really your eight your old and I MIGHT have the same size. So yeah, $ 7 dollars for 3TINY tacos… I would rather have gone else where that’s for sure. The turkey meat was decent, but the lettuce and tortilla were old and dry. It says it comes with avocado but I don’t believe it. After waiting thirty minutes for the worst tacos of my life… I definitely will not be eating there again. Oh, and the bartender randomly took my water away 15 min before we left… I definitely wasn’t finished drinking it. It was strange and made me sad.

Dodge all the other dicey traps in OB and just roll here. The drinks are cheap(ish), the crowd is fun(ish), the food is downright terrible, but hey, it’s an overall good time. This is not the newest or hippest place in town, that’s for sure. It is a locals joint that welcomes all with little to no flack. It always seems to be a mandatory stop on some silly bar crawl and you’re sure to find a sketchy game of pool if you seek it out. It can be tough to track down the bartender at times so do yourself a favor and order a double, easy enough right? They do serve late night food but expect a snarl and a quick watch glance if you dare ask the bartender to order too close to their kitchen close time. They’ll serve it up but not without making you feel guilty about it. Hey, it’s a dive, what do you expect? Watch out for those chicken strips… neither chicken or strips in my opinion. Maybe they’re deep fried shoelaces or packing peanuts? Who knows but it just adds to the charm of a classic OB dive.
