Doesn’t accept rewards for gold card member. Charges for water. Better than no coffee joint on campus. Not our cup of tea by choice. Well still come here regardless.

Prices and no gold cards rewards — Really?

Everything is more expensive because they have to pay royalties to operate under SDSU. If you’re in a jam and HAVE to have sbux, I understand you going here out of sheer location convenience. But if you have a choice, do not go to this one! And do not go to any on campus. They charge more here too obvs. The only redeeming factor here is that they do the Grounds For Your Garden. But be warned it is not every day and it is completely random when they put them out. Decent study area. Parking usually always sucks.

I will not be coming back to this location ever. My regular order I get at every other Starbucks cost almost a dollar more at this location. You can’t use your rewards, or gain stars. The coffee tasted like water and the employees were not attending to the customers. They’re also stingy about their water…

Not the BEST customer service but not awful. Always a long wait for my tall drinks, even without a long line. This is also the second time in a row my coffee was not very hot at all, more«warm» if anything. Disappointed me twice which is the reason I’m reviewing them here. Womp. Will just get a coffee at 711 next door next time. Ain’t no body got time for this starbucks.

You cannot call yourself a Starbuck’s if you don’t function as one!!! This is a «franchise» and does not take rewards!!! Very deceiving and time wasting. I can’t even express the frustration that this mediocre place caused me. Avoid this place at all costs!!! 1 star because I HAVE to.

This is the best and most welcoming Starbucks I’ve ever been to. As an avid/loyal Starbucks customer I have been to different Starbucks up and down California and I have yet to find the warmth and professionalism found here at this Starbucks. The Baristas are super friendly and as difficult as I am on my drinks(add this, extra this…) they never seem to complain or miss a beat. I love the fact that they always repeat the order to make sure it is correct. This is a great Starbucks to socialize with both people and cats. I’m a real early bird so parking is never a problem. The Cinnamon Dolce latte has to be the best way to start a Monday!!!

trenta blackberry mojito tea lemonade for me! extra blackberry pumps please! the lemonade is a bit overpowering so the extra flavoring of blackberry balances it out. but without the lemonade the regular tea is kind of bland…

My first time here, my iced peach green tea was decent and the baristas here seemed indifferent. There were no seats available but who can blame them right it’s Starbucks! But what really ticked me off was when I went to get a refill($ 1.00 instead of the usual $ 0.50) they said I didn’t have any money. I was confused because this was a gold card I was using so refills are free also after a good 30 seconds of going back and forth with the barista, another barista jumps in and literally YELLS at me, feeling totally embarrassed and humiliated I didn’t know what to do because I’ve run out of money. Luckily a guy behind me paid for the refill! Horrible customer service the Starbucks I usually go to will make new drinks for people if they don’t like it, but a refill? Worst Starbucks I have ever been to the girl who yelled at me should be fired ASAP that was so disrespectful I wish I could fire her myself. Terrible customer service. Never coming here again.

If you’re attending SDSU this is a perfect location — quick access to campus and have your caffeine fix on the way. The staff seemed nice when I went in; it is a smaller location so not a great study place. I was waiting for a friend so it was a good place to just relax for the 20 minutes I had to wait. Parking over here is non-existent if you intend to stay for any length of time though.

Just your typical Starbucks but they don’t accept rewards, what?! It is a full sized Starbucks, but I can’t use my free drink… lame. I came to this one vs the one in Von’s so I could use my rewards. Also, my iced chai was essentially watery milk. Didn’t realize it until I took a swig of it in my car on the freeway 15 mins later, or I would have gone back for a new one. Couldn’t even taste any chai in it. Bad way to start my 9 hour drive back to Santa Cruz. :(

Staff is very friendly. Mostly college students here. Beware of the transients that lurk inside and out.

Its not the best Starbucks, but it surely isn’t the worst either. It is run entirely of students which can make the service a bit slower then your average Starbucks but everyone working their is very kind. I am sure they have to deal with some not so pleasant people daily so I respect them for that.

I prefer this Starbucks to the one in East Commons primarily because of lines. While this one can have lines that are out the door in the morning, it sure beats being the 50th person to order coffee at EC. Other than that, it’s your run of the mill Starbucks. Nothing too fancy.

Very possibly the worst run store in Starbucks entire worldwide chain. I went into the store Thursday morning and stood in a short line of four customers. Looking behind the counter I saw five Starbucks partners so I thought, «This should go fast». What I didn’t count on was that four employees were absorbed in a conversation and only the employee at the cash register was actually working. The register employee would take order, get coffee, get pastry and ring up the transaction. If there was a drink requiring a barista, the cup would sit until one of the four employees could break away from their conversation to actually make a drink. Meanwhile the customer line kept growing as only one employee was working 100%. It’s fair to assume the young employees were probably college students as this store is across the street from SDSU. I’m hoping they are not enrolled in business management or our future could be bleak!

The service is nice they were very welcoming however my friend ordered a sausage and cheddar breakfast sandwich and it was just tossed in the bag in which he pulled it out and it fell to pieces. Very uncarefully packaged. Plus the espresso is always expired, I’ve tried telling them how to pull a good one but eh whatever ill hit up peabodys.

I mean, it’s a Starbucks. But they did let me sit there for hours tutoring students. So points for that.

Being located across the street from SDSU this location can get very busy. I stopped in and ordered a Grande Americano and a warmed morning bun and quickly found a cozy seat. ) The Americano was good and strong as usual. The morning bun was great! Topped with sweet cane sugar and cinnamon made for a firm exterior.( ) The inside came warm, moist, chewy, and filled with a very good cinnamon flavor.( ) Great little bun. Most of the employees were college students and they provided good service even with the line of customers that were out the door. The only negative about this location is the lack of parking. Hands of my bun people!

Worst Starbucks experience to date. This is franchised(ie owned/operated by SDSU food services) and if at all avoidable, should be avoided. Situated next to campus it is mainly a very young crowd of employees that seem to be more into playing with the chocolate syrup and each other(at least on this trip) than making sure my $ 7 drink is made correctly. The first set of coffees we ordered were written incorrectly on the cups and so were made incorrectly. When returned the guy tried to make the drinks correctly, but then made the wrong drink again, which I corrected as he was making it, and when finally the third attempted coffee was in hand it tasted only of utter disappointment. The white chocolate mocha was at the third attempt, something caramel flavored… being at wits end sometimes you just have to declare defeat. My suggestion would be if you really need a Starbucks fix on campus to go the west commons, or in all preference, away from campus.

I have to pay homage to my Starbucks. I come here every weekday morning to get my fix. Note this Starbucks is owned by Aztec Shops auxiliary of SDSU. Literally right next to campus your surrounded by youngens reminding you constantly that you are getting older by the day as they begin to look younger and younger. Since this is owned by Aztec Shops the pastries come from their bakery. They are oh so mighty delicious. My favorite is the chocolate croissant, delivered fresh every morning, when I get mine its still warm, nice, soft buttery chocolatey goodness with the chocolate chips still melting. Come on.. . what more do you want on Monday morning. For being my Starbucks and being such a regular they always know what I want, which feels great! Not so much for my bank though ;-p
