Wow! Super impressed with how big and updated this place is when I walk in. Especially since it’s located downtown. As I check in I’m offered a nice selection of beverages to quench my thirst. My stylist is Danielle. She is GREAT! She carefully listens to what I’d like and made great recommendations with no pressure to go one way or another. She has explained to me that this is a great place to work because of how they offer educational opportunities for the stylists. I think it’s great that they stay up to date with the latest techniques and products. I can’t say enough about how happy I am to have Danielle as my stylist. She is personable, knowledgeable, and pays attention to the details. And when you are done with getting your do there is a great selection of products available for purchase. Overall a great experience! Highly recommended!

I had my hair done by the amazing Rosie Proo! She was extremely professional, personable and honest. I was scared to have to cut so much of my hair, but Rosie assured me that it was the right choice because of all my dead ends. After cutting my hair I am so glad that I did it. My hair is once again alive and it is all because of Rosie. (:
The salon was very nice and everyone was very helpful. I even got to drink a mimosa while I was getting my hair done. I like to be able to sit back and relax while I am getting pampered and I did just that.

I walk by style lounge on my way to work everyday, I’m not sure what took me so long to get it together and finally contact this place, I went to another salon (first mistake) and they ruined my long beautiful hair, I walked around for a good month looking like Edward scissor hands.
I emailed Friday to set up an appointment and was contacted by the owner the next morning, she was super helpful, and they were willing to accommodate me for the same day rather quickly, I’m so so thankful that they put me in the hands of Rena! Rena fixed my horrible hair cut, and made me feel human again! I recommend this place highly and definitely think you should ask for Rena! Thanks again ladies! I look forward to coming back.

I recently moved to San Diego and found the spot and girl to do my hair! I have been to many high end salons and I have never been treated this well. Caroline went above and beyond to make sure that I was completely satisfied. She listened to what I wanted, suggested to change a couple of things, and nailed it! I have never had a better cut or color before. When I style my hair, it falls perfectly every time. The color matches the picture exactly and actually made my hair look healthier. She didn’t rush a thing and really took her time to perfect the look. The blowout was beautiful and it lasted three days! Caroline really has an eye and passion for hair, I will keep coming back! Caroline turned my conceptual balyage into a masterpiece I never knew my hair could be! She is so sweet and genuinely takes her time to make sure you feel at home, not only in the salon but with your cut and color! If you want balyage, Caroline is your girl! Can’t wait to come back!

I love love loved this place! My stylist Rena was amazing! I got the Brazilian blowout and partial highlights and they came out fabulous! Id recommend her to anybody! She was super sweet! A shame I had to go back to the east coast but if I ever come back that way she will be the first I’d call! Go see her!

I had my hair done here by Sarah McCleary and I absolutely love it. I wanted to begin the ombré process without having to go thru the ugly brassy stage, and Sarah definitely achieved that for me. I know I would not achieve the color I wanted during my first appointment, I’m realistic. I am happy with the current color but am definitely excited to make it blonder, her blending technique is on point! She understood what I wanted and was also very nice to chat with, I’m excited for her to help me achieve my hair goals

Came in for highlights and had Haley as my stylist and she is awesome! She was friendly and helpful because I usually have an idea in my head but can’t always articulate what I want. She listened to me and offered her ideas and went to it. She was quick and I appreciate that because sitting still isn’t my favorite. All in all a good experience and I’ll be back!

I recently moved to East Village and my friend recommended Caroline at Style Lounge. I recently got my hair done and she did a beyond amazing job. I typically just get either an all over color or partial highlights but I told Caroline I wanted to switch it up and she could do whatever she thought would look good. She ended up giving me a bayalage/​ombré and it turned out amazing and exceeded my expectations. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair. Another plus is that they sell Kerastase and she recommended a few items that really helped improve my hair.

Rosie is the most talented hair stylist in San Diego. Creative, professional and personable is the experience you will receive from this gem. My hair was the definition of a MESS and Rosie transformed it into a radiance of health. Not only did she color and cut my hair to perfection, she also was so accommodating to the million questions I had about keeping my hair healthy and she so willingly answered every single question with a smile on her face.
The salon itself is exquisite. From the moment you walk in you’re welcomed with such grace and positive energy from the staff and the aura of the salon.
Not only did I receive an amazing experience. They also offer wine! Does it get any better? I’m so happy I found this salon and especially ROSIE! I can’t wait to change up my hair again (which I feel is coming very soon).
The prices are also amazing for being a high class salon in downtown. I’m beyond happy with my experience at Style Lounge.

Trying new hairstylists always seems risky business to me, but with all the amazing things people had to say about Rosie, I decided to take a chance. My experience was nothing less than amazing!
1.Having met me prior to salon open times, I was more than grateful for accommodating. 2. She talked me through my entire cut 3. She is on point with her color suggestions and techniques. 4. I’ve lived in the San Diego area on and off for 26 years, and I’ve been to a few hair stylists.
Now that I live in the Gaslamp district, I decided to visit Style Lounge Salon. I made an appointment for color with a hairstylist, Caroline. When I arrived the next day, Caroline was waiting for me with a big smile.
Since I travel a lot, my hair sees many stylists, and as usual I was a bit apprehensive.
Caroline patiently listened to me, analyzed my hair, and with a big confident smile told me: «I know what to do.»
She did exactly what I wished. Perfect color and fantastic style. I’m very happy. After I sent photos of Caroline’s marvelous transformation of my hair to my daughter, she told me that when she comes to San Diego, she too will visit Caroline at Style Lounge Salon.
Style Lounge Salon has a very welcoming atmosphere; everybody is very pleasant and professional at the same time.

I have been a handful of times to see Hayley and each time she has given me exactly what I have asked for! She has given me highlights, balayage, cuts, all over color and treatments (at different times obviously)! Each and every time I leave, I am overly pleased with my hair! I highly reccomend seeing Hayley at Style Lounge next time you are in need of any hair service!

Five stars because of the stylist I had! I came in for my birthday, for two things — highlights and curls (which is risky on the day of your party, but hey, I live on the edge). I was seated with Caroline and her work was absolutely phenomenal (you can see pics on her instagram @Hairby_caro). My highlights were a beautiful color and evenly distributed. I was incredibly happy with the shade of blonde.
When it came time for the blow out and style, Caroline took her time and made me look stunning. Huge barrel curls and the perfect puff.
The venue itself was really clean and professional. They had an assortment of beverages and a comfortable waiting area. It’s also super conveniently located in Gaslamp. I will definitely be back to see Caroline for my roots!!!

I’ve been here to see Rose a couple of times and she knows how to cut hair!
The first time she went over every aspect of how I wanted my hair cut, and not only did she listen, she applied her skills to perform her talent.
My wife came here to see her a few times already too, and similarly is pleased.

I’ve been going to this salon since I’ve moved to San Diego in May 2015. My hair gets colored by Stephanie and my nails get done by Meredith. It is always a great experience and I love this Salon. I will visit it again for sure and wish that this Salon exists in Germany, where I’m from.
Normally I’m very scared of a new hairdresser and nail designer but Style Lounge is the best Salon I ever have been to. The people are so friendly and listen to your wishes.
I would definitely recommend going to this place!!!
