Pretty tasty pizza joint. I called in an order. Half cheese, half veggie and a full Greek salad. They man behind the counter was friendly and attentive. Their pizza is really good, only one size, fairly large but the dough is thin so it’s not overwhelming. I loved the pizza and the Greek salad was really good and fresh too! They also have special desserts that looked delicious so I’ll have to try one of those next time since I will be back! Reasonable prices too!

Love the buffalo chicken but its all excellent.

Hungry people of Unilocal!This is my favorite pizza place of all time! And I really like pizza. Their pizza is amazing. What is even more amazing, is their cheese steaks. I am eating one now. It’s glorious. I eat here at least once a week. More if were being honest.
The Surfrider signature, is a like a white pizza, with a majestic amount of these exquisite marinated garlic cloves. If you’r not into garlic, stray elsewhere, after you at least try it. It absolutely amazing. Also, garlic is hella good for you. So eat more of it. I like the Bacon Rider. Its the surfrider with bacon. Try the surfrider first.
Literally everything I have ever had from this place has been top notch. I always bring my out of towner friends here.
They are also active in the community, and oh dear god, cupcakes and desserts to rock whatever night you plan to treat yourself or friends.

Yummy pizza. We stopped in here after a beach stay had us craving pizza. We opted for the Dom, which was a bacon, jalapeño and pico de gallo combo. Now I was impressed with the freshness of everything and the bake. The jalapeño sauce base was simple and flavorful. I wasn’t a fan of the crust, found it a bit bland and wished it came in a thinner option.
Pizza by the slice is also a cool option.
The baked goods are simply amazing. We had the carrot cake cookie and cheesecake brownie and we were impressed. Nice flavor, rich and a nice bake.
We did an order over the phone, our pie was ready when we were promised, was fresh, and the service was friendly. They were playing football so I think it’s a good place to catch a game.
Cool shop, good food, friendly staff. I’d go back and recommend it.

My allll time fav pizza this side of SD. Service here is outstanding! They will make your pizza however ya want. If you want to combine two types of their favs, go for it, they will do it. If you want to let them now ahead of time on what you want… dooooooooooooo it… they will have it ready when you want. The baked goodness here is also yummy!!! My fav is the lemon bar but the cupcakes are soooooooooo goooooooooood. I always get the red velvet cupcake as its a fav. But they alllll are good. The oatmeal cookie sandwich is awesome as well. As for hte pizza. I think this place has some of the best most original sauce I’ve ever had. Its sooooooo gooooooooooood! I seriously can eat here all day erry day. The buffalo chicken pizza is also a fav and always epic good! I love this place!!!
They’re also remodeling and adding a huge open window and a bar to catch games. Looking forward to checking this place out more and more.

Just to make sure I wasn’t crazy, I went and picked up another cheese pizza (for my daughter) and another «dirty steak» sandwich last night to make sure it was as good as last time. Good lord, this is probably the BEST cheesesteak in San Diego by FAR. There are other good ones in town, but this is the most authentic to Philly. And ridiculously tasty. Kudos to you, SRPC, your sandwiches are MONEY. And I can’t for the life of me figure out why I never see any mention of the cheesesteaks here on the «best in town» lists elsewhere. Oh, and my kiddo loves the pizza. Great crust.

Meh.
I have yet to find a good pizza place in OB. I had high hopes for this place, but the crust was overcooked flavorless cardboard. Also tried the «to die for» carrot cake cookies. Not impressed.
Is it edible, yes. Enjoyable, no. You’re better off ordering Domino’s.

Let it be known that I love a good pizza — & surf rider definitely knows how to make a great pie! Ordered a pepperoni pizza last night. Sauce has that tangy taste I crave and is the superstar of the pizza! Good ratio of cheese, super thin crust, good pepperoni — good ingredients and put together really well. Garlic bread was really yummy, too.
The employee who ran us up was kind. Only downfall is that they don’t deliver. But — they are a little off the beaten path and less known (when considering pizza port and Newport pizza nearby), so maybe that will change with increased popularity.

My very favorite place to be in Ocean Beach. The philly cheesesteak is the best I’ve had (and I’m from the east coast!)
We moved here a year ago and this has become our favorite spot. It has the small community feel, we’ve gotten to know the employees. Very Cheers like vibe!
Now they have beer on tap which is awesome because they change it up, I love trying the new taps.
And of course, I love the giant pizza slices. I’m not adventurous with food but my husband is, and he tries whatever they have for the day. He’s never had one he didn’t like!

Whenever I come for pizza in OB, I always go to Pizza Port, but this past weekend, I decided to switch it up.
I called in an order for pick up.
The place is pretty small, and located right on the corner. Totally perfect for a quick slice after a nice day at the beach!
My pie consisted of: olives, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, chicken, basil, tomato, and sausage.
The total was $ 30 and some change– which I was surprised at. Looking at their menu online– each topping is $ 1.95-$ 2.50 each, which is pretty pricey.
The pizza was definitely good! I enjoyed it and gobbled up 3 slices. I liked the thinner crust and the taste of the sauce.
I’d definitely be ordering here again, but will probably do one of their signature pizzas and not try and get all cray-​cray with my toppings lol.

The staff start it right. Great service at the counter. It’s a place with limited seating but worth it. To name some of the flavors this place makes. Buffalo chicken. Inside out Hawaiian. BBQ chicken. Ricotta cheese roasted garlic on a white pizza. All this in a small corner stop near ocean beach. The crust was crunchy and then chewy towards the end. The slices were big enough to fold as to eat. NY style.
As an added bonus they have a wide range of desserts. S’mores whoopi pie. Homemade marshmallow and home made chocolate. Lemon bars carrot cake cupcakes all look delish. I had the lemon bar and oh my gosh.
Love this place a definite return visit is called for.

Great pies. Very fresh ingredients. Nice selection of «slices». They have a great 2 slice & a drink (soda or beer — nice!)special includes many «specialty pie «options — great value ! Loved my surf rider & ricotta spinach but hubby’s BBQ chicken slice gave me «pizza envy». Must return soon

Yummy! Two slices and a beer for 10 bucks! It’s a thin crust pizza with a little crunch to it. My favorite is the garlic, tomato, basil toppings one! They have a nice selection of craft beers and gourmet desserts here that I always take home for later. I have tried most of their desserts. The lemon tarts and red velvet cookie sandwiches are my favorite.
They have a patio with bar type seating. I love hanging out here after taking my dog to the dog beach! Dogs are welcome on the patio. It’s a great little spot, hidden in the beach houses. I found it when walking my dog. I have been here numerous times now! The customer service is always a pleasant experience. They’re very laid back here.
