This place is fantastic! Haven’t been here in a long time but decided to stop in for lunch and a glass(or two). Started with a fantastic Viognier/Rousanne blend from Kivel Stadt that was amazing(to me)…steak sandwich was great, very tender(with melted swiss and onions and peppers)…second glass was a recommendation by the bartender(La Valentina Montepulciano) and it was also a homerun… will be back VERY soon!

I came here for brunch last Sunday for the first time. I consider myself an avid bruncher so I was surprised when my friends suggested this place and I had never heard of it. I guess in my defense I don’t spend much time in OB. Right when you walk in it looks like a place you would expect in La Jolla, not grungy OB. It is very nice and fancy. We sat down and I started to gaze over the menu. They have an entire brunch menu for $ 13.95 per item and $ 20.95 for a menu item and bottomless mimosas! What a deal! The good sounded fancy, not some crummy eggs and pancakes. I decided to go with the eggs Benedict and of course I upgraded the bottomless mimosas. The waiter brought out a big bowl of fresh fruit and some delicious chocolate bread with cinnamon butter. Both were delicious! I had just finished my first mimosa when the food came out. It was a big order of egg Benedict with potatoes on the side. My meal was well worth the $ 20.95. I probably would have paid $ 30.95 for the food and mimosas but don’t tell the management that! I will definitely be coming back, this place is the holy grail of brunch in PB/OB area for sure!

After years of wait, I finally made it through the door of The 3rd corner and I am so happy I did! The Cioppino was amazing with tender and pleantyfull amounts of fish and mussels and the surf and turf was cooked to perfection! Service was available even though it was a full house and let’s not forget the meat and cheese plate! Bravo 3rd corner… Well done. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is because I feel the view could be better since it is so close to the ocean.

Had the scallop entrée — delicious. The atmosphere was very good and not noisy even though the restaurant was full. Service was excellent.

Came here with couple of gf’s last week by default. We straddled over from across the way Bo-beau. They were way too busy to seat us with an hour wait. Everything happens for a reason. I had a great experience at this restaurant. There was no wait, we were greeted as soon as we walked in by both hostesses whom were also very welcoming. We were seated right away, waiter came by to get our order for drinks. We ordered and shared between 3 people the Olive Sampler, Artisan Cheese Plate, Hummus, Wild Mushroom Pasta, and Pan Seared Sea Scallops and a bottle of wine(can’t remember name of wine). Everything was tasteful — enjoyed very much. Our server was attentive to our table, another gal kept coming and filling our glasses with water. Great overall experience! Good atmosphere and ambiance! Will come back again!!!

This is absolutely one of the best kept secrets in San Diego and one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in SD. The famous Cohn restaurant, Bo-Beau, may be across the street, but I think 3rd Corner is better. Less crowded though still packed, cozier(love the couches!), vaster menu, and much less expensive. There are shelves and shelves of wines with prices similar to WineSteals where you can pick your own wine and then have it at your dinner table. We got a stellar Anderson Valley red blend for under $ 20 including corkage that was perfect for the 3 of us. We had a hard time picking entrees because they really do have something for everyone here. My friend got the mushroom pasta, I did seafood risotto, and our other friend got short rib. Big portions and the dishes are delicious, clever, fresh and just under $ 20! Sorry folks, the butter is NOT churned here unlike another Unilocaler said. Beautiful atmosphere, intimate but cozy and not stuffy. The sort of place where a guy asks you to be his girlfriend but doesn’t drop down on one knee.(Prove me wrong! Come on prove me wrong!)

Stumbled on this gem because dinner plans didn’t work out across the street… Hot damn, what a great find! Busy Saturday night, yet they sat our party of seven within a few minutes. Thrilled with everything we tried. Homemade hummus was on point, the seasonal salad was super fresh, and the seafood risotto was divine. The cioppino was the most memorable. That tomato sauce made the dish. The herbs/seasoning combo was perfect. Great staff and atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

The 3rd Corner is your quintessential new American restaurant. The atmosphere is trendy, but not pretentious. The service is professional and polished, but again not pretentious. The food is gourmet, but the portions are NOT tiny. My group of four dined her during my recent visit to San Diego and it was the perfect place for a small group to drink, dine and converse. We ordered the white sangria for the table to start. I like how the fruit came in each of the glasses so all we had to do was pour the beverage. It was an excellent sangria at that. Not too sweet, but not to dry. We were each able to get a glass and then some. I went with my Shrimp Arrabbiata as my entrée. I was really impressed by how many shrimp were in my dish. I feel most restaurants could have thrown in 3 or 4 and called it a day. I didn’t count, but I feel like I had a least 6. There was a nice marriage of the bacon, tomato, garlic, capers, white wine, chili flakes and Parmesan over linguine. No one item stuck out and everything blended together for one great taste. As I mentioned in my opening, it was a very nice portion size. I’ve paid more for similar dishes and gotten less food. Bravo the 3rd Corner. With that being said, the portions were large so we skipped out on dessert. My only complaint was that the food almost came out too quickly where I would have liked to dine and converse a little more. If only I wasn’t traveling and could give their brunch a try. Next time, San Diego. Next time.

Not sure how this place is getting good reviews. After we talked to locals about our experience we were told«oh you don’t go there for the food, you go to get wasted» that’s a nod to the bottomless mimosas they offer. The service was Ok, the eggs in the scramble were horribly overlooked and most likely part of a larger batch that they had cooked up in the morning. The duck that was like leather, totally dry and overcooked. It actually looked more like turkey. My girlfriend ordered the florentine Benedict looked nice on the plate but was very bland, tasteless. The Bloody Mary’s tasted like Worcestershire sauce mixed with tomato juice(read as awful). Go here for the mimosas, it’s pretty hard to screw those up.

Let me start by saying this is not a place to bring your little one. The dinner table are surrounded by racks of wines and what is not on racks is in boxes in the middle of the floor. That said the food is phenomenal. I ordered shrimp scampi with linguine as an appetizer and it was served with freshly cut tomatoes and mushrooms and had such robust flavor. I was actually full from the appetizer and still had to taste the wonderful seafood risotto and I was planning to get a dessert. This place is a must if you are in San Diego for a date night!

Service was Great. The décor is Dated and lacks Identity. Tables are to close together. Food was A step above bar food. I ordered the Shrimp scampi Appetizer… It came out under a pile of Mushrooms and Cold Parmesan cheese… That is Food Sac-religion.It was Very bland. Both Gross and Bizarre. Try keeping it simple guys… I also Had a New York steak and dessert… Homemade Cookies and Sorbet. Nothing I had Popped. Neither one blew my mind. Cookies taste like gas station cookies:) The Presentations were Amateur. Very sloppy. The food is Average at best. My Bill was $ 100… Didn’t taste like $ 100 :) I was hungry so I ate my food and left. But I would not eat here again. Service was very good like I said.

Absolute gem. One would NEVER expect this to be here. They have a prix fix menu on Sunday nights for 20 bucks. It’s not only well portioned, but they don’t skimp on the presentation and the love that’s poured into each dish. We came here on a double date and split the chicken liver pâté appetizer and a carafe of white sangria to start. My hubby got the seafood broth and I ordered the seafood risotto. OMG, everything was so delicious! My hands down favorite was the risotto… not too cheesy and the scallops were just tender. I always overcook mine so it was wonderful to taste something so perfectly done. We were really excited to see that they offer a «6 for 60» wine set. It’s such a great deal, considering some of these wines are worth more than 10 bucks each! We will definitely be back.

The inside of this place was super nice and I was definitely pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door.(Soft lighting with intimate booth spaces.) The 3rd Corner isn’t necessarily located in the prettiest of places in OB, but they really stepped up their game. Wine, wine, wine galore in this place. How could it not be fantastic? And plenty of Cali wines to be specific. Their shrimp scampi was delightful. I paired it w/a local cab and I was oh so happy. This was a solo dinner for me, and the service was great. I felt very taken care of and my stomach was singing praises when we eventually wrapped up our well deserved dinner. This was actually a recommendation from a couple I met through Airbnb and they were spot on in saying it was worth checking out. In Ocean Beach? Swing by and have a glass of wine!

This place is always awesome! Great wine and food selection! Sunday brunch is AMAZING!!! The staff is always friendly. They don’t have an outside section so you can’t bring your pets. Awesome date place, and great for large groups. Sunday bottomless mimosas from 1000 to 1500 are a must! I recommend this place to everyone!!! Cheers

I luv luv luv this place! It’s perfect for an intimate dinner for 2, ladies night, or a small gathering of wine lovers! They really put some thought into décor at this wine bar /restaurant. All the ½ walls & dividers are wine racks; brilliant! The patio has couches that are perfect for a snuggle or relaxing with friends. You can find the perfect salad to keep it light & delicious & make the perfect pairing to your wine selection or you can choose full on decadence in cream sauce. They even have a small parking lot & a row of spaces out front.

I LOVED this restaurant. From start to finish, the entire night was impeccable. Service: 4⁄5 Service was wonderful. The waiter was kind and filled our water cups frequently. He was also fast and never made us wait too long for anything(checks, etc) Ambiance: 4⁄5 The restaurant was pretty dark if you like a dimly lit, romantic atmosphere. They sat us right next to their amazing wall of fine wines. It was magnificent to look at! Price: 4⁄5 I thought everything was appropriately priced. The quality of every dish was on par. Worth every dollar! See below for prices of what we ordered. Food: 5⁄5 The food here was the star of the show. For our appetizers we ordered the Baked Brie in Puff Pastry $ 12. The brie was oozing out and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Every bite was truly perfect. My boyfriend has a strange love for escargot so of course we had to order that for dinner $ 15. He fed me one and it was actually really good! Not too chewy and tons of garlic flavor. For his entrée, he got the Day boat scallops $ 23, which came with potatoes, olives, green beans, and a white wine lemon sauce. I’m not a fan of anything sour or lemony, but my bf really enjoyed it. Now to my favorite part of the meal, my plate of the Seafood Risotto $ 18! First off, it was an amazing deal at $ 18. The risotto was pillowy soft with the mascarpone and they were really generous with the shrimp, scallops, and lobster. It was a perfect plate of risotto! I’m dying to come back! By the way, they have a small parking lot to make things easier. What’s not to love!

Came after the boyfriend’s co-worker was just raving about how this place is amazing. and well he’s right. The 3rd Corner is quite amazing. A retail wine shop, restaurant, and a late night happy hour spot with a full kitchen available. Yes please. So at this visit, the boyfriend and I came during their late night happy hour(starts at 10pm). We shared an order of the mussels and short rib sliders. Both were delicious. Large entrée portions for happy hour prices(ranges from $ 10-$ 14). Unbelievable. Also for a $ 5 corkage fee you can browse their wine selection and enjoy them while there. And it’s way cheaper then buying the glass so go all out with your meal with a bottle or two or three. Will be coming back for their brunch menu as well. 3rd Corner you are a gem!

Such a great venue all in all. Worst thing about the place is the parking, there’s a small lot in the back & then there’s the street. Doesn’t count against how good the food and atmospehre was. As we waited for our table, they seated us in a room with couches & a table where they proceeded to bring out cheese & meat trays. The«aged jack» was the highlight of that tray. Also brought out hummus & little pita bread. Both were yummy. Had a couple of nice, crisp bottles of champagne on top of the appetizers. I didn’t get to see the wine cellar, but my party picked out really tasty red wines. First they came out with Caymus– that’s my pick of the night, had such a smooth finish. Then came the Rodney Strong Cab, another bottle of something red & then a Sicilian wine. Our server was so patient w/our group & very attentive so kudos to him. I chose the«Braised Beef Short Rib» [$ 19] & it was amazing! The sauce on it was just as good. Came w/mashed potatoes & veggies which were equally as good. Got a taste of the Duck Confit, I think I will try this next time cause it was delicious! The salmon was just as good from the piece I tasted. Every piece tasted amazing & that’s not the fancy wine talking. We sat in the patio area which was a cozy place. Great place for groups! Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Thanks for a good time, 3rd Corner!

Came here for a roomies dinner late night — about 10pm. We ordered the steamed clams, duck mac and cheese, and some butternut grains dish. I really enjoyed the duck mac and cheese! It is piping hot when it comes out, so be warned. I do wish the macaroni noodles were a bit more al dente — it was a bit too squishy for me. The steamed clams were good, but it was nothing memorable. Loved their bread! Scarfed down a few loaves myself.
