Oh wow. Words can’t explain how great my shawarma wrap was. It was huge too I fell into a food coma halfway through the meal. Being from the shawarma culture this topped any I’ve had in El Cajon. The Lamb/Beef that I ordered was so flavorful and delicious, I honestly wanted to ask for it shaved by its self. My bf and I loved the ambiance as well. The décor is very city/casual chic. Alittle bit of beer art here and there. I can honestly truly believe that they won best in San Diego. How many times? Go check it out its posted on their walls. It’s good for a cheap meal and healthier than other places.

My new favorite place! The salmon kabob, saffron rice, tabouli and spicy hummus were all very delicious and very moderately priced. Very friendly staff and good service, too.

Customer service here is impeccable and the facilities are kept very clean. They let me combine a bogo discount I have with the Unilocal check-in deal for a free drink. I’ve always loved coming to Kebab Shop, whether it’s in Mira Mesa or here, to get some good ol’ donor. Donor is a greek wrap consisting of lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, onions, and meat of your choice. I usually opt for the mixed meat, which consists of chicken and lamb/beef. I always order extra dill white sauce. That stuff is money. Can’t eat without it. The golden fries are crispy as ever. I dip that in the dill sauce as well. This time, I also go the salmon donor, which takes about 15 mins to cook so you may have to wait for a while. But the wait is worth it because they gave me a good sized portion of salmon and some white yogurt sauce to pour over it. Would definitely come back.

Good food and patient staff, sauces come with your kebab and it tasted great! 2 of us split the doner kebob and a side of falafel and we had to take half the falafel home because we were full. The only negative I have to say if the carbonation wasn’t working properly on the soda machine so the soda was flat, but we got tea instead. Would recommend!

I stopped in here for a quick lunch based on all the good Unilocal reviews this place had. I must say, it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken kabob plate with a side of falafel and rice. I also checked in and redeemed the free drink offer! I had to wait around 10 – 15 minutes before getting my food but it was worth it considering you get a freshly prepared plate just for you. You have an option of 3 sauces which include garlic, spicy, and dill yogurt. My favorite was the garlic. As far as the food goes, the chicken kabobs were awesome! They were cooked perfectly and had the nice sear from the grilling and were tender on the inside. The rice was normal, nothing different than rice from any other place. The falafels were delicious! The had a nice crispy texture on the outside and a burst of flavor on the inside. They came as a side but the portion was HUGE! Overall, I had a really good experience at The Kebab Shop. The staff was super friendly. The restaurant was nice and clean, and the food was great. The only thing I would have changed was adding a hotter sauce to the menu. The spicy one is good but doesn’t pack that much heat.

What a great value for about $ 8! We got the doner box and they were very generous with the meats they give you. We got the beef and lamb box, which came with salad, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, mint and garlic yogurt sauce. The garlic yogurt sauce was excellent with the flavorful beef/lamb and the spicy sauce was definitely hot! I think this has better portions and customer service compared to Halal guys, so I hope they open one in LA County soon!

Compared to the downtown locations this Kebab Shop is much easier to park at since they have a parking lot. I tried a completely different meal here with their«box» menu items. I had the lamb meat and falafel box that came with a greek salad and the rice. They basically smoosh all these items into a carton and you eat out of it. Simple concept but genius if you ask me. Ran at $ 7.99.

shared the lamb/beef doner kebab w/the bf. which includes everything: salad mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, fresh mint, garlic yogurt sauce. I added some extras: feta, hummus and fries(a must!) it’s huge btw, I recommend sharing! I was pretty content with the halfsies. and don’t forget to get extra sauces on the side. the spicy sauce isn’t that spicy but it’s adds a nice touch to every bite! not my first time trying these bad boys. had them at pita pockets in the SFV the first time I’ve had a laffa gyro. soooo dericious.

My boyfriend and I came here as it is close to our hotel on New Year’s Eve. The meal was fantastic! The service was great as the the cashier gave us great recommendations, such as, recommending putting fries in the döner kebab. That was surprisingly delicious. All the staff was friendly, despite having to work on New Year’s Eve. I had the döner box, which was so great. The lamb/beef was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. I would definitely try to come back if I am in the area anytime soon.

This place is awesome. I love the doner sandwich. The wrap tastes awesome and I love the beef/lamb. It is full of flavor. Their garlic sauce is great. It doesn’t have an overwhelming taste of garlic like some other places. The hummus is pretty good but not my favorite it didn’t taste like much else other than chickpeas. I had never had falafel before but wanted to give it a try. 6 pieces for 2.99 is a pretty good price. I thought they were okay, not really my thing. They currently offer a free kids meal in Sundays with the purchase of any menu item. This is a fantastic deal. Also, check-in on Unilocal for a free drinks. My total was about 5o% off with the two offers. I will be back for the doner sandwich. It is a great price for as much food as you receive.

This place is a great deal. If they could tweak the sauces just a bit it could match the great Shawarma trucks from NYC! Portion of service size to price is excellent. Definitely recommend the doner lamb/beef. The employees had great energy and were very friendly, which was nice. Especially Francisco(I think), very good communication/service. Best feature: no extra cost for extra sauce(load that bowl up lol)! Will definitely come back. Maybe next time I’ll go bigger and try to the Iskandar kebab. Cons: if I Must have a con, I guess the rice could have been served warmer, but nbd.

Yeah. I won’t be back here. The food was pretty flavorless. The bread tastes like burnt tortillas. The rotisserie beef looked and tasted like crap. I had 2 bites and threw it out. It was an all around bad experience.

My wife and I chose this destination to celebrate our anniversary(13th), as we do every year in September, to commemorate our very first date in 2002 at a Middle Eastern eatery in Berkeley, CA. Margaret had the Chicken Kabob Plate with rice and Bebe Caprese salad, which she enjoyed very much. She particularly enjoyed the Bebe Caprese Salad. I had the Chicken Rotisserie Plate with fries and Andalucia Carrots. The chicken was seasoned very well and the carrots had very good seasoning on them. We really liked that the menu is mix & match. Get exactly what you want! And, they have a gluten-free menu, which made it easier for me to select options. A no frills eatery, but it delivered the sought after sentiment of reminding us of how many wonderful years we have been loving each other.

So so good! They’re plates are definitely very filling. I usually go for their lamb/beef plate. You can select 2 hot sides, 1 salad + 1 hot side, or 2 salads for an extra charge. I love their hummus. It’s really good! Their spicy hummus is one of the popular items. They give you a lot of it too! Their falafel is really good too. It’s not greasy. It’s perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They do not skim out on the food. Their doner kebab was so tasty too! It’s wrapped in flatbread. The prices are fair considering how much they give you. Everything was fantastic as well as the service. Definitely better than Daphne’s and several other Mediterranean restaurants I’ve had! Check in on Unilocal for a free drink! :)

I love kabob shop. Went to this location for the first time on a weekday evening, it was pretty busy. Only one register, we waited in line a few mins, took our order, and waited several more minutes for our food. The wait wasn’t too bad. Several tables inside as well as tables outside. We ordered both their beef/lamb Doner as well as their chicken Doner. beef/lamb Doner with their white sauce had good flavor, light and fresh. It’s fairly large, but wasn’t heavy, so it’s easy to eat the whole thing if you’re hungry! The meat had good seasoned flavor. chicken Doner was seasoned a bit different and ended up having a slightly spicy taste. Their white sauce is very garlicky, I loved it. But you may not if you’re not a garlic fan. Their French fries are thin cut, super crunchy, lightly seasoned, and addicting. Yellow rice was okay. It was a little dry and had a different taste I wasn’t expecting. Not what I remembered from the Kabob shop in downtown. I skipped it. Yum!

The first time I had food from The Kebab Shop is when my sister bought me a döner box. Though it wasn’t fresh by the time I got home, I got a gist of how good it was. The döner box consists of meat(your choice), vegetables, and fries or rice. Specifically, I got the chicken and lamb/beef döner box with the vegetables and fries. Mix it all together and you’ve got a blend of great flavors. It seems small, but it’s actually a good portion. More recently, I went to The Kebab Shop again, and I got a fresh döner box! It was even better the second time. I do think the onions are a little overwhelming. I’ve tried their döner(not in a box, just wrapped) and it tastes delicious, as well. So far, I haven’t had a bad experience with this place. Next time, I think I’ll get some baklava.

The Kebab Shop is great for a quick, inexpensive meal that will not make you feel totally guilty. The mission valley location is great– the staff was nice and helpful. I had an idea of what I wanted to order and the girl at the counter was happy to answer my questions and give me suggestions. I decided to go with the doner box– which comes with chicken, rice and salad. Its a generous portion and it comes in a Chinese take out style box. The rice was delish and the chicken had a nice flavor. It comes with a side of tizaki which is great for dipping your chicken! They have numerous sides in case you want more as well. I would recommend the kebab shop for anyone looking for a nice filling meal :)) I wish they opened one in PB!

The Kebab Shop(TKS) SD: Mission Valley 8pm Monday 24th August 2015 Four Stars It was my first time going to the Kebab Shop. I had the Doner Kebab($ 8) with Lamb and Beef, Salad, Tomato, Cucumbers, Mint, and Garlic Yogurt wrapped in a flatbeard. It was quick, easy, cheap, and filling. They also serve beer so I had a St. Archer.

4.5 stars Finally got around to trying this place, its located in the strip mall across the street(Camino De La Raina) from the Mission Valley mall, Sports Chalet, and Target; its in the strip mall with the Lazy Boy Furniture. Its quite a small shop with seating for about 20 or so. I ordered the mixed meat(chicken and Lamb/beef) Doner kebab($ 8); A wrap, like a mediterranean burrito. It comes with your choice of meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, mint, and garlic yogurt sauce. So delicious, the meat was so tasty and tender, and as the Mediterranean diet goes its not overloaded with meat, but a perfect balance of both meat and veggies. I also opted for extra spicy and garlic yogurt sauce on the side, both a perfect addition the the doner kebab(dill sauce is also available.) There were also a few containers of some mystery spices on the tray where you get your cutlery and napkins, which i did try, I’m not sure what the spices were or what they are meant to be used on but i liked the red/brown one better than the green one. I’m thinking the green one is to go over your salad, at least i’ve seen dried spices on salad at some mediterranean places(Lebanese i think). I did feel like it was a tiny bit over priced, at $ 8, I’d feel more happy at $ 7, but it is a large wrap and i did leave with my belly full and it was very tasty. I’d be bold enough to say that it was better than what i’ve had in Turkey, so yes, I’m a fan!

There’s just something about food on a skewer that makes it more tantalizing and exciting to eat. I hadn’t eaten all day, so when this place was suggested, I probably would’ve agreed to McDonald’s. Luckily Walter M didn’t torture me with happy meals and the play land. I’m fairly certain I blew him and everyone else away that night with my garlic breath after I drowned my food in the white sauce. Delicious stuff! Maybe just stand back 500 feet for a day or so after I’ve partaken. When we arrived there was a small line. It didn’t take us long to decide what to order. I hadn’t been here before so I wanted to try a couple things. We got two different plates. Naturally after we ordered, I checked in and saw the check-in offer, oops, too slow. The food came out pretty fast. I started on my salad first. The dressing was surprisingly good, it had a nice dill taste to it, I really liked it. I ended up stealing the rest up Walter’s later. The rice was also good, nothing too special. The chicken was tender and had a flavor to it. I ended up using a lot of that white garlic sauce though, I just really liked it. I have to say the kabob my son got though made me a little jealous. His was super moist and had a nice char on it. I stole some of it. It was tasty. The beef and lamb though was by far my favorite meat of all of them. It was really tender and spiced perfectly. I would order this next time. I found a winner. I mean it wasn’t actually my plate, but I tried to make it mine :-)
