Welcome to Paris Salon

I needed a new hairdresser like, yesterday and after a little research, decided to give Welcome to Paris a call. I spoke with Paris and he was very polite, professional and extremely patient while I asked him numerous questions. I set up an appointment with Sabryna a week later to have my roots retouched and my hair flat ironed. It is always difficult adjusting to a new hairdresser, and Sabryna made me comfortable from the moment I walked in. She was very pleasant and I truly appreciate her attention to detail. She really did an amazing job with my very long, wavy hair which can be difficult to flat iron straight. She provided me with information and tips on caring for my hair type and the whole experience was positive. I highly reccomend Sabryna and the salon all around. Their knowledge about «ethnic» hair textures which is a huge plus. I went back a few weeks later and had her re-​do my extensions and again was very impressed with her attention to detail and expertise. Thank you Paris and Sabryna for helping me get settled at a new salon!

Yay so happy with my hair! Sabryna took care of me and was amazing. I wanted an all over purple color but I’m allergic to dye so Sabryna hand painted the color in my hair! I also wanted a dark purple/​blue undertone so she mixed a bunch of colors together to give me exactly what I wanted! Then I also got a cut, and I’m very picky. I have really long hair that needs a couple different length layers in it to keep it having some movement. She went back through my hair a couple times to make it exactly how I wanted it! She’s definitely a perfectionist which is awesome with a hairstylist. I was there for 4 hours while she took care of me and I am so thrilled with the result. She’ll give you exactly what you want! She charged $ 140 for an all over color and cut which I think is totally reasonable! I’ve spent over $ 200 for similar services in the past. Thank you Sabryna!

I have been going to this salon for about 5 years and I never want to leave. Candace colors my hair, and gets it right every time. If there’s anything you aren’t happy with, she will adjust it for you! I have very dark curly hair, and she has been able to take me from dark to light, to dark again. My hair can be complicated, but she knows what to do! Paris cuts my hair and does a great job, with can be tricky with curls! As the owner he is all about customer service and individualizing your experience. Very friendly and fun atmosphere in the salon. The team is like a family and the quality shows!

Paris, you make me look good! Awesome for modern men’s haircuts! Next time, I’m going for some color!

My favorite salon I have visited in San Diego. Paris is so fun and great with blonde highlights! I have a hard time with my hair picking up reddish or yellow tones and Paris thoroughly listened to any concerns. I have always felt in good hands! This last visit I added low lights and it turned out a little darker than I visioned. Paris was awesome and I went right back in and had a few highlights blended back in and walked out a happy costumer! Not only do you get great hair, but it’s always fun in the salon. Will be going here as long as I’m in San Diego!

I can’t say enough about how happy I am with the haircut Sabryna gave me. She was able to accommodate my last minute appointment and really understood where I wanted to go with my pixie cut.
The salon has a very chill vibe. The stylists were very friendly. It almost seemed they had a family-​like relationship. As I got my cut everyone was super excited for me: p
As for my haircut, Sabryna not only gave me the haircut I’ve always wanted but really took the time to make sure the cut fit my style and that I loved it. I can’t say enough about the quality of service I received. I will forever grateful to the attention she gave me into the transition to my shortest haircut yet.
There is no doubt in my mind that I will be returning!

They’re amazing! I went in to dye my hair ombré purple after having some traumatic hair experiences at other salons when it came to bleach and purple — Sabrina did an amazing job and went through the whole process and advice for washing it/​upkeep as she went along. The whole thing: ombré bleach from the bottom of my hair (reaches to my lower back), purple dye-​ing, and blow dry/​curling it when she finished cost $ 170 and came out great. I’ve also had trichotillomania since I was 9, I’m 21, and this was the first salon/​hairdresser I’ve ever been to who didn’t point it out loudly to me/​the entire salon. Thank god. I’m so so so happy with how my hair turned out! (Posting a picture)

Paris just gets me… very important when trying to explain what I want done to my hair. He takes my ideas and makes them better, and when I don’t know what I want, he just works his magic!

Second times a charm, had to come back in a second time to get hair look I wanted. With the guarantee I wasn’t charged for the correction. I love they way my hair came out and would def come back. Will have to find a different place to get my nails done as they no longer offer this.

I’ve been there twice. Both times we waited a ridiculous amount of time for just a hair cut. The waiting is crazy and the amount of time they take working on a person’s hair is to wait for couple of hours. We didn’t get much friendly welcoming. They only welcome old customers and not the new ones. Ohh I almost forgot, they have no magazines to pick hairstyles so make sure you bring some. They took so long the second time with no time to get moving we just left the place pissed off. Didn’t get a haircut. Definitely was not a good experience.

The best experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon! I just moved to San Diego and I was nervous about finding a salon/​hair stylist that «specialized» in natural hair. I heard some great things about Welcome to Paris salon from the internet, and when I called to find out more information and set up an appointment, I knew it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. On the phone, I was told that I would receive a consultation by Paris himself and that he would learn about me and my hair. That is exactly what happened! I have never had a more comprehensive and truly «caring» hair-​care experience. I will go to Paris for as long as I live in San Diego. I don’t trust many people with my hair, but he is genuine, skilled, and he made me feel and look absolutely beautiful! I really appreciated the time and the TLC I got from this salon. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience… and I can’t wait to go back!

This salon is the best! I felt comfortable from the moment I called and spoke with the owner Paris, who welcomed me and my last minute hair emergency. Anna was my stylist and she is knowledgable on «ethnic», natural, or African American hair. She was trained by the owner Paris who is very knowledgable and cares about the HEALTH of all hair types and textures. There is music that fills (not too loud) the salon while I was there Jill Scott, Usher and a little Chris Brown played. The most important part is they care about your time and I didn’t spend all day long in the salon. I only spent an hour which included a shampoo, deep condition, blow dry and curl. I have booked my next appointment and I’m defiantly looking forward to it!

This is my favorite salon, of all time. That’s saying a lot because I’m SUPER picky about my hair. I’ve been coming to see Anna for almost 4 years now after I moved to San Diego for college. I went to 2 different African American salons at first, and ran into expensive pricing as I left the salon feeling greasy and weighed down in product. I Unilocaled around and I found WTP and I’ve been coming here every since. I love everything about the salon; the atmosphere is warm and inviting, there’s complimentary water, coffee, wine and snacks and all of the staff (especially Paris the owner) always greet you with a warm welcome. Anna, my go to girl, is the absolute best and is very efficient, sweet, attentive and always accommodating. She works wonders with my hair and it has definitely grown since I’ve seen her. I would recommend this salon to all ethnicities and genders, you’ll be in great hands.

It’s definitely time for an update…
The salon moved a few blocks down and is now located almost directly across the street from Lestat’s on Park.
It is a bit smaller of a space, which is fine. It’s super cute and airy with the doors open.
I have now been seeing Paris for about 12 years! If that doesn’t say everything you need to know about his skill, I don’t know what else to say. He is absolutely amazing and I have never left the salon feeling like anything but fabulous!
I consider myself a long hair girl. Somehow, everytime I visit him, we end up making major changes. I recently chopped about 12 inches off so I could donate to Locks of Love and there is nobody else I would trust to do that other than Paris.
I LOVE my new haircut and have been receiving tons of compliments. Due to my job, I am not able to do anything crazy with the color, which makes me a sad panda because he does such amazingly creative work with color! He plans in advance and will give you what you want — you want crazy, he can do it. You want easy to manage, he’s got you.
The best decision I ever made was scheduling that first appointment with him years and years ago. Now he’s not just my stylist, but someone I would consider a friend. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment (if you can get one!) today!

Sabryna saved my hair! I came home from a different salon yesterday with a terribad cut and color. I had wanted to go from black hair, to a golden brown as the end result. I had originally gone to the other salon six weeks ago, and the last time I was left with multi colored hair. I knew going lighter from black would take time, and gave her the benefit of the doubt that this next visit would give me somewhat normal hair. Boy was I wrong! My hair was not only fried, but the cut was horribly choppy and uneven. She styled it in the salon to where it wasn’t as bad, but when I looked in the mirror at home I almost cried. I contacted Sabryna immediately, and she was able to get me in the very next day.
After consulting with Paris, Sabryna was able to work her magic. The entire time I felt like they knew exactly what they were talking about, and she wasn’t afraid to tackle the huge task of revamping my hair. We talked, laughed, and I had a fantastic time. When it came time to see the end result, I was almost in tears again. This time, they were tears of joy! I am absolutely in love with the cut and color! I finally feel like I have the salon quality hair I have hoping for, and she made my hair look and feel a million times better! I honestly could not thank her and Paris enough. I am one happy customer!

I’ve known Paris for 10 years plus! He’s started off doing my hair when I was a professional cheerleader and now my best friend does my hair! If you need a good place to go and want the latest styles go see Paris or Candace! They are the best EVER! They offer you beer or wine! They have coffee, water, & snacks! Good vibes and music as well! So relaxing!
