Beer Olympics

Went to the australia day event today. 25÷12÷16 It says free entry. You can buy coupons. But at the door you cannot enter without the ticket/​coupons. Only valid on bud light cans still like $ 5 with a coupon and the price increases as the night progresses. So it is a cover charge. It says $ 2 australian beers. But the only australian beer is coors that I saw. And that is full prices. It says triple j streaming there wss not any music i heard it might be a good event for meeting up with fellow aussie folk. But if you are looking for a cheaper night out with existing friends your better off going else where. For me and my friends it was a total waste of time and money. Granted it might have once been great but now it is a total scam with the current organizers.

It took a trip to San Francisco to shake the dust of my Unilocal boots. The Beer Olympics is a really good way to meet new people. You can come with friends on a team, or even be put on a team with different open-​minded people, often who are traveling. As one who is always trying to keep costs down, the fact that they have $ 2 beer makes this an experience to remember (or forget, depending on how much you take advantage!) I haven’t met so many people from different countries (ie Australia, Sweden, UK, South America) since I was in Ibiza.
