Overpriced dry burgers. Angry unfriendly manager with no smile to top it off with. Won’t come back here again.

This Bistro Burger is a dive. We usually get the Nachos from the inhouse taco counter and they are ok, but trying to check out with the Bistro Burger staff is a pain in the rear. The guys and girls behind the taco counter seem to care and are trying, but the overall quality of the restaurant is dirty, grimy and not kept in a good state of repair. This week took the cake, as a lady with her pet dog cam in and just did not care when I asked her to take her dog outside. Yes, it was a pet dog, and not a service animal. She did not even try to claim a service animal exemption.

This new girl you guys have hired, is HORRIBLE. She ALWAYS screws up my orders. I always get the build your own omelet, and she always leaves something out. I called this morning to place an order and ahe had me on hold for 10mins while i can hear her taking orders in the background. The seevice was so much better a year ago. Today the service SUCKS!

Extremely RUDE service staff here. I walked in during the late afternoon when there were only TWO other customers in the whole spacious place. I had some time to kill before finishing up an hour of event work nearby and was trying to decide if I should eat right then or when I’d get off my shift for the day in an hour and a half. I sat down(having stood up all day) for a moment and began looking at my phone for the hours and reviews for the Mexican food side, debating which side I’d prefer, when a lady walks out of the Bistro Burger side with the most condescending face and voice to ask if I «would like to pay for my drink?» It’s a closed bottle of a brand they do not even sell, wrapped in its Walgreens’ receipt on the off chance I’d need to deal with petty people like her. I was not drinking it in her restaurant and I had not used the bathroom or anything and yet pretty much everything out of her mouth was spoken with a HUGE attitude and b*tchy face. I walked out and will never ever go there. There are more delicious and friendly options in the area like The Melt and Super Duper Burger. Was gonna give this one a try out of novelty seeking but, uh, no thanks.

These guys are great! Some of the best burgers in town and the best in the financial district. On top of that they have the nicest staff around, hands down. I will be coming here again!

Another close by place where I work. This place was very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly, and they have 3 to 4 gigantic tv screens that always had sports on, which is a good thing in my book; however, this is not a sports bar. Service and pricing were alright for the breakfast burrito, but they have no combination of meats in one burrito. You had to choose between the sausage, bacon or ham. You cannot combine them for a small fee, but they will for some extravagant some, which I declined because I am not that desperate. I tried the three burritos they have, and I got to say that it was nothing to sneeze about. It was just so, so, so, and nothing memorable about it. Also, the breakfast burritos were rather microscopic in my standard. There were a lot of empty spaces in that burrito, and as you bite through it, you could hear yourself pray that you hit a meat along the way, but you would be disappointed. There were just too much empty real estate in that burrito that it was just sad all the way through. *Sigh*

Didn’t try the burgers but I did try an order of fries. Freshly made so it was nice and HOT. However, it lacked salt. Best time to salt the fries is right out of the deep frier. And for this reason, I only gave then two stars. Hate to say it… Jack-in-the-box curly fries are better.

My company bought those of us who had to work today lunch from here since nothing else is open in the FiDi today. I was hesitant since I’ve had two bad experiences here so far but since it was free I said OK. I ordered the BBQ Western Burger with fries. The meat was so tough and chewy that I actually second guessed whether it was beef or not. I pray to God I wasn’t just eating dog or cat. It really didn’t taste well at all, in fact, I didn’t even finish it. The fries were not seasoned at all — major disappointment. It’s been less than 10 minutes since I finished my meal and I do not feel well at all as I type this. This just reaffirms my opinion that this place is really bad. I will never go back, free or not.

I have been coming to Bistro Burger on Mission Street for about 5 years now or so and it has definitely gone downhill with the service and for what you receive & pay is unacceptable. I paid $ 3.50 for like 10 curly fries today. I also paid $ 2 for GF bun, but no where on the menu does it say that there will be a charge. I leave my office early because I know that there might be a wait, because the service takes FOREVER and we were the 1st people in the place for lunch today. I won’t be returning anytime soon to this location.

Food is pretty good. They got my order wrong(regular fries instead of curly) and I didn’t want to wait in line to get it fixed because the line had grown a ton, not due to the volume of people, but due to the slow processing of orders at the register. The owner was manning one of the registers with a staff member, then saw some lady he knew and proceeded to have a 30-minute conversation with her about real estate. Meanwhile, the taco-line and the burger line collided in an unstructured confrontation between burger-eaters and taconsumers. Anyhow I ate my regular fries at my table and spent lunch looking up at the cloud of small flies that call this place home. What are they thinking? What is their life like? What do they think of this place? I Not a huge fan of this place.

I’m sorry but this location just isn’t very good. 1) Service. I went in at 9:50 on a Tuesday morning. While the place was practically empty with no one in line ahead of me, the employees saw me but didn’t acknowledge me and continued on with their conversation laughing and joking. Four minutes after I arrived someone came out from the back with an attitude and said ‘can I help you?’ Yes, you can help me. You can take my order which is the reason I entered your restaurant. I ordered my breakfast burrito and the cashier never bothered to thank me or smile once. 2) Food. The breakfast burrito wasn’t good. In fact, it was bad. The salsa(which there was way too much of) was soggy and watery. Not flavorful and light. The chnunks of hashed browns were way too large and there was practically no egg. I ate about a third of it and threw it away. It’s a great location with a big menu, but with so many options Downtown, Bistro Burger should step up it’s game instead of just relying on its location. Though, for what it’s worth, I have noticed that the crowds aren’t what they once were — so perhaps people are catching on and moving on to better dining establishments.

omg the breakfast burrito. I’d give it 5 stars for the taste, 4 stars cause it does get a bit pricey. but oh my god its amazing. they have home made baked potatoes in there with awesomeee cheese(you know, the actual good stuff). I like to get mine with salsa verde on the side instead of the pico de gallo and it is heaven. definitely recommend.

Average. Nothing special about the place. Found this place when looking for a snack and some shelter from SF winds. Got the curly fries and curly fries only. It’s $ 3.50($ 3.93 after tax). Dining area is very empty and big. Has music playing for a real laid back ambiance and also a couple tvs Fries were good nothing special. Came with ranch. I like how you could just sit here however long you want.

I’ll give this place an OK. I went there this morning for breakfast and I got their Breakfast Burrito. First off, they took forever to give me my order. They weren’t busy at all and when I got back to the office to eat my burrito it was good, but I had an egg shell crunch a few bites in. Almost finishing the burrito made another crunch in my mouth which was gross. I had to spit it out of course and I was pretty upset after the second one. I feel like the cook was trying to hurry up and make it but they need a better«egg cracking» technique because I don’t find that the restaurant cooks are very passionate about cooking. I’m from Houston, TX and I have yet to find a restaurant that is as yummy and good in quality as well here in San Francisco…

Sat and ate here while the Brazil was playing Mexico in the World Cup. It was intense in there! But very cool and hospitable. I had a Salmon Burger with fries and it was DELICIOUS. It was well worth it and tasty. They buzz you when your food is ready and take your food trays as you leave. I will be going again.

God, why do I keep coming here for convenience. All I wanted was a classic green salad(mushrooms, peppers, lettuce, tomato) with a burger patty(done medium) on top. 20 minutes of waiting with nobody in the restaurant later, I got a Waldorf Salad with apples, blue cheese, walnuts, and cranberries with a well done burger on top. I was in a rush back to the office and didn’t check the box. I saw them making a salad Why is everything always wrong here!?!

Everything was really good with the burger except it was way too salty! And the lettuce was weak. But the thickness of the meat was generous, the melted cheese on top was yummy and the bun was soft.

I work nearby this Bistro Burger and since I saw a line to order here, I mistakenly thought that they must be legit good. Ummm not so true at least from my viewpoint. I’m not bashing the quality of their food because I did enjoy the burger that I ordered with mushrooms and provolone cheese. I was actually hoping that they offered a lamb burger option. On the day that I went, they didn’t have it and still unsure as to whether they ever WILL have it again, but suffice to say, I was bummed. Seeing that there really isn’t any burger competition withing close walking distance from their Mission location, I can see Bistro Burger doing well and making good business during lunch. The last time I walked by there at 6pm, they were still open and all the chairs were being stacked. Geez, I guess they aren’t busy after lunch? Here’s an idea… how about a special deal during your final hours of operation? You guys have a $ 8 deal for ordering before 11am so why not do a happy hour discount after 4pm? For a train commuter like me, it certainly might appeal to me to grab a burger for my dinner on my way home. As of now, the long wait at lunch, the lack of lamb as an option makes it an unexciting option for lunch. Hopefully I can find a place that can make a good lamb burger nearby.

Went here with my coworkers for lunch after seeing the ridiculous line at Mixt Greens. I decided to keep it simple and order their Bistro Burger so I could have a good baseline of how their burger actually stacks up with no frills on top. The patty itself lacked the meaty texture and flavor I crave and expect from a great burger. There was adequate seasoning in parts but wasn’t evenly distributed. Overall Thoughts At the end of the day, the burger didn’t make me want to go back for more

Was on the last day or so of my free $ 10 LivingSocial takeout credit & wanted breakfast. Not that many places around my work were open, but I placed my order while on BART using the app for breakfast from Bistro Burger. I got an order of banana pancakes($ 6.50) & a side of bacon($ 2.50) all for under $ 9, well for free minus 76 cents charged to my credit card for tax. I got three big fluffy pancakes and four strips of crispy bacon. The bananas kinda fell out of the bottom of the pancakes and there weren’t too many pieces of bananas in it though. They were satisfying though! Crispy bacon is always good, but some of the pieces were a little burnt. I gave my third pancake to a co-worker because I was so full. Their breakfast isn’t bad and they give you a lot for what you pay. I may consider going back if I’m too lazy to walk to a couple other breakfast spots… never thought I’d say that about a burger place!
