Everything was amazing! Stopped by for a drink and stayed for a while! Millie makes amazing cocktails! Sliders, fries, & humbolt fog bruschetta … So good! Order a sazerac bc Millie knows what she is doing. :) we will be back!

Went for brunch but we were late so we missed the mimosas but we still ordered food and just ordered regular drinks. I had a pizza and it was a really delicious bite. It wasn’t anything authentic and I didn’t expect a flat bread pizza to be. But it was delicious. Side note that I had leftovers and they were not very good so just eat it all, reheating it makes the texture completely different and the taste gets bland. But fresh it is AMAZING! My friends got a chorizo scramble I believe which was pretty good and his husband had a monte Cristo which I was informed was amazing The vibe was chill and it wasn’t too busy. I really enjoyed this place. I plan to go back again.

Only giving three stars cuz I didn’t have any food. My bf loved their bruschetta though. the bartender was super cool and the vibe is nice. they have an upstairs lounge area but I didn’t check that out either, but I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

I attended a work holiday party here and enjoyed the drinks, so I came back to have dinner with friends; my experience was mediocre at best. :making reservations: I went to dinner with a party of 7. The restaurant requires reservations be made online via Open Table, we were luckily able to make our reservation 10 minutes before as we walked to the restaurant. While the app allowed us to make the reservation, it appears the staff doesn’t monitor the Open Table reservations realtime. Fortunately, they were able to squeeze us in. :the service: We were hungry and excited to eat just about anything. We ordered everything at once– drinks, a couple of apps(cauliflower + fries) and our meals. The food came out in a very bizarre order and very, very slowly. A pizza some of us ordered to share as an entrée the same time as the table cauliflower and fries and entrée sandwiches one at a time. :the food/drinks: The cauliflower we got for the table to start was the only thing I would order again; It was fried & flavorful. The garlic truffle fries ordered for the table to share were cold. The fried chicken on the fried chicken sando was similar in taste to dino chicken nuggets. The kale & ricotta pizza was decent but a bit too salty. The sliders(variety of flavors) were all sweet to taste, had very poor presentation and in general, unappetizing. The burger was good, but would not go back to get it. :atmosphere: It was loud, way too loud. Noise, of course, is expected at a bar but this was very loud and we were sitting upstairs away from the hustle and bustle of the bar. With so many options of restaurants with unique food and experiences in the city, I wouldn’t waste my time trying out Cease & Desist.

I went here during Beer Week, so that may paint my impressions of the place, especially in terms of crowds. But one thing that bothered me for a reason that I can’t quite articulate is the fact that they took reservations for a bar table. Something about a bar that takes reservations on Mission St. sets off all my gentrification alert alarms, doubly so given that the clientele looked like they probably would have fit better in Hayes Valley. I realize it’s pretty unfair to fault the place for that, but who had to say that an online review and criticism had to be rooted in rational thought? That seems like it goes counter to everything democracy has shown itself to be, really. Also, as stupid as this sounds, the décor was also kind of random and I had no idea what they were going for. When I entered, it looked a bit like a loungey sort of place, which I dug, but then there was a really gaudy disco bull(get it, get it?) hanging over the ball that was just gauche and distracting. That’s a lot of negatives, but at least the beer selection for Beer Week seemed pretty okay.

This place is a zoo that belongs to the Marina. Loud, no service and nothing on the menu worth a trip there.

We came on a Monday night around 7pm and like I was hoping — it was pretty empty — yay! Finally a non crowded relaxed moment in the Mission. Also, hats off to the Bar tender for running the whole restaurant by herself. It was slow, but it wasn’t THAT slow. They have 6 beers on tap, which you know for a San Franciscan, is kinda disappointing, but at least it was a varied selection. They had a beer and burger special on Monday night, which we didn’t actually end up getting, but good to know. Beers during Happy Hour are $ 5 Appetizers are a little over priced. We all got Pizzas, which were actually decent sized. One was too much for one person. We also got a beat salad which was quite nice. We got the Barbeque, Avocado and Bacon, and the Kale and Ricotta. I thought the Kale and Ricotta was the best, but it was a little strange that the Kale was put on fresh and there for crispy on it…

Stumbled upon this spot, when Taco Tuesday was a fail. We saw the AYCE $ 10 sign for pizza so that pretty much sold us. The pizza: was okay. Glad they had a lot of toppings and it wasn’t boring, but it wasn’t the best pizza ever. Service: EXTRA slow. There were only 2 – 3 other tables yet the service was ridiculously slow. 10 minutes to get menus, another 10 to put our orders in, and about 25 minutes to get our check. Actually, my friend stood up and asked for it. And, one of our servers was trying too hard to impress us or make conversation that some of the stuff he was saying was annoying. The place had a cool ambiance but not sure if I’d come back.

Went here for drinks after work on a Tuesday. Bartenders were chill and chatty as I waited for my friend and did a great job of checking in for more drinks and clearing glasses without being annoying. I’ll definitely be back, at the very least to try the food.

What’s not to like about this place? Solid beer selection, and you can get pitchers! Staff is crazy nice, right off the bat. But the real fun is upstairs… BUBBLEHOCKEY! It’s an awesome, pointless game and one of my favs. There is a league put on by Joey the Cat on Wednesday nights. Tons of other great games too! Haven’t had the fold yet but happy hour menu is on point.

Enjoyed the atmosphere here in Cease and Desist. Looking forward returning and partaking in food upstairs while enjoying the scenery and music, whilst sitting on the leather couches! Cheers to Chef Daniel! He stands by his menu! Our appetizer and entrees were fabulous!

Stumbled upon this gem on a Saturday night after a horrifying experience next door at Dr. Teeth! Fun atmosphere at night– bartenders are not shy on the liquor and the Humboldt Fog bruschetta was nicely done! Sweet place to meet up with friends for a drink!

I came here for drinks with some friends. Just in terms of drinks, Cease & Desist is average. The cocktails sound super cool but are not very strong. The beer selection is not amazing. Next time I need to come here for the food! There are lots of parts to Cease & Desist… bar stools, large tables, and cushioned seating both upstairs and downstairs. Good for small groups. There are some cool arcade games upstairs, but it seems like those are more for decoration on regular nights. On other nights, they have special competitions. How fun. Overall I had a fun time but was not super impressed with this place. Definitely going to try out the pizza and brunch experience sometime.

Absolutely love the food here. The pizzas are to die for. They have a prosciutto and arugala pizza and a buffalo bbq brisket that are both amazing. The chef makes his own special BBQ sauce that is sweet and tangy but the buffalo sauce on top keeps it spicy. Come on Sundays for bottomless Moscow Mules!

Can’t comment on drinks since I had to go but what I can say is the atmosphere was great Definitely good for groups, especially upstairs area with plenty of comfy seating options and there’s even arcade games to keep you entertained! Overall Thoughts I will definitely be back to take in the atmosphere while over drinks and food

First off, I came expecting a restaurant so I think I was more disappointed than I probably should have been. — Kale risotto pizza with balsamic was good, but the thin crust was just okay… — Draft beers $ 6, selection was decent at best, didn’t find 1 I really liked Would’ve preferred to eat elsewhere. Would recommend this place for drinking instead, seems ideal for a place to get rowdy

Pretty standard, slightly more upscale bar food. Given the choice probably would have preferred the food at Mission Bowling. Drinks were pretty mediocre, but at least the beer was really affordable!

New mission bar, yes please! I came here for a special Deschutes Pine Drip IPA event last week and I’m so happy I did! I had no idea that this place was even here… the sign isn’t extremely obvious when you’re passing by. The ambiance inside is very nice and chill. Overall it is modern and fun. There are two bars, one being when you first walk in and one all the way in the back. There is additional seating upstairs for dining. We only had drinks when we stopped in, but I saw pizza coming out and it looks delish! The bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful! We sat at the tall community tables located in the back directly next to the bar. The back bar has an awesome sequence buffalo head over it. There is also a huge mirror in the back which goes really well with the overall ambiance. I enjoyed my drink here and will have to come back soon to experience more!

A new bar in the Mission? Hell yes. Serves a good selection of whisky? Even more hell yes. I didn’t have any food, but it looked great. Will definitely try next time. The bouncer was super friendly(and, pro-tip, is also the bouncer at Dr. Teeth), and waved at me easily when I stepped out to take a phone call. Tall tables with bar stools, lower tables for food and smaller groups. Yeah, coming back. The good: solid selection, friendly folks behind the bar. The bad: nothing to speak of yet.

I can always count on the Tonic boys for three things: (1) Kick Ass Cocktails. It was a blur after cocktail #2 at Soda Popinski’s. That’s nothing to be proud of at my age but hello, 2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour! (2) Bougie Trailer Trash Food. Tater tots topped with Dungeness crab at Wild Hare. Need I say more? (3) Getting Wings Wasted. 25 cent chicken wangz on Wednesdays at Dr. Teeth. Yup, I cluck for wings! The Tonic Boys have built a mini empire of bars in SF each with their own unique theme, offerings, and deals. When I read that they were opening yet another spot in the Mission but this time more of a restaurant that a bar, I high tailed my ass there. Opening a week and a half ago, Buffalo Club took over the old Specchio/Piattini space several doors away from their sister bar, Dr. Teeth. There’s 2 bars, 2 levels, and lots of seating(counter, booths, and communal tables) which makes it great for large groups. There’s flat screen TVs in the back bar. Starting with the most important thing: alkie… there’s 7 specialty cocktails on the menu for reasonable $ 10 each and great beer options(sorry, I’m a beer noob but the list looked varied). On the food menu are shared plates($ 5-$ 10), salads($ 9-$ 10), cheese & charcuterie platters($ 15-$ 25), and pizzas($ 13-$ 14). Portions were good for the prices. We shared three apps and a pizza and had to bring most of the pizza home. For cocktails, I ordered the Monarch w/gin, elderflower, lemon, mint and Benji Goes to Cabo w/tequila, grapefruit, aperol: . Both were deliciously stiff and well balanced. My fav was the Monarch… floraly and refreshing. For apps, we shared the following: *Humboldt Fog Bruschetta w/tomato serrano jam, house bread, micro herbs($ 10): Slightly pungent, tangy, smoky and slightly sweet, this app would go great with a glass of wine. My only gripe was the house bread which was on the heavy and dense side. I like prefer a light, crunchy sliced baguettes. *Proscuitto + Parmesan Croquettes w/potato, panko, basil($ 8): How can you go wrong with hot fried balls? Loved the creaminess of the potato. Couldn’t detect the prosciutto though. *Hand Cut Fries w/garlic confit, fontina, sea salt, parsley($ 7): The fry monster couldn’t get enough of this. The fries were thick cut and crunchy throughout(double-fried?). I’m glad they don’t follow what 99.99% of other restaurants, adding truffle oil to make«bougie fries». The creative combo of garlic confit and fontina really elevated one of America’s addictions! For our main, we shared the Smoked Eggplant Pizza w/sausage, kalamata olives, fontina, vermouth tomato, mint, frisee($ 13): . The pizza crust had a nice char but the bottom got soggy quick so forget about taking food porn at every possible angle and just smash faces with your slice. The tomato sauce was really vibrant and tangy, and I liked the combo of the eggplant, sausage, and fontina. IMO, I think argula would work better than frisee since the peppery bitterness would help cut through some of the richness. Let’s talk service shall we? The staff was über nice, helpful, and attentive. None of the hipster pretentiousness bs. Our waitress, Angelique was super sweet and made great suggestions(get the cider on draft!). Food came out on the slower side but I’m sure they’ll ramp up once they get into their groove. Parking in the Mission is just getting beyond ridic. I use to be able to easily find parking before 6 pm on weekdays but not anymore. I’m too cheap to pay for parking but there’s a parking lot down the block next to Bruno’s for $ 15(nightly rate). Four stars for now with great potential for being a 5 star joint once they work out their kinks. Happy Friday!
