Daughter and I had a quiche(with broccoli and greens) and a muffin waiting near the Bay to Breakers route for the mom to run by. Lovely morning, great coffee, fun servers. Loved it!

Could use more breakfast items. They have bagels, but no eggs sandwiches :(I think it was mostly spreads, like cream cheese, pb&j, etc. The quiche was good though! Wasn’t sure how I felt about eating a side of broccoli for breakfast but I guess it’s best to get your veggies in early anyway. Iced coffee was good!

Good coffee shop but Unilocal has the hours wrong. They’ve been closing early most weekdays lately, sometime around 3pm or 4pm.

Good coffee, good food, very friendly staff, great neighborhood spot. Comfortable, relaxing atmosphere for seating inside and out front. A neighborhood gem. Very dog friendly too. Only downside is the line can often be long.

Wild Salmon sandwich was AMAZE. We also had a turkey sandwich which was just as good. Not to mention a perfectly light and fluffy croissant. Good coffee. A block from the park. Perfect.

Love this place! They made a great almond milk latte. Definitely plan on coming back for a sandwich sometime.

Neighborhood gem. Small coffee shop that is full of personality. The staff here are fantastic! Line can be long, but be patient, The coffee is worth it. Lattes Bagels Sweet treats Sandwiches Soup Plenty of food options to choose from to go along with your coffee or tea of choice. Plus a cold fridge full of cold raw choices — kombucha, coconut water, etc. Not a lot of seating inside — some seating outside — which is great on a sunny day.

Love love love Central Coffee. It’s nice and cozy, has great coffee, and great prices! There’s outdoor seating as well, which on a sunny day is absolutely gorgeous.

Have only been here once… Atmosphere and look of the place is cool. Coffee was watery :( Sandwich I had was visually appealing and had a unique flavor but the«off the bone ham» was not so off the bone.

Central Coffee is absolutely one of my favorite coffee spots in San Francisco. They use Clover milk here! I love love love the coffee drinks here, especially when they are made by the boss. I always make Central Coffee my destination spot whenever I’m back in SF. My sister loves the pastries here because they’re fresh and delicious, and she’s usually very picky about what pastries she eats. The staff are nice and welcoming as well, so two thumbs up for good customer service!

We came here for the specialty lox and it did not disappoint. We got it on a garlic bagel and it was gone before we knew it! We shared it but man next time we will get our own! The wife got the white mocha coffee and she was exploding with excitement taste after taste! We are visiting from Denver and if this was there we would be regulars for sure. Friendly staff is always a plus as well. We may be back again before we leave… One can hope we will be at least!

small, cozy, and friendly vibes, what else could you ask for? Came here a couple of times with my friends, it’s a very simple café, nothing special but very good place to just sit and drink coffee while enjoying the scenery. The staff members are very friendly.

Website hours say open until 7pm, but stopped by at 5:45pm on a Monday to find a closed sign with no explanation. Needed a place to sit and work up to a nearby 7pm appointment, so that was a let down.

First time here today and I’m definitely coming back! I had a pretty affordable yummy latte and a delish lox bagel. You have the option of wild or farmed salmon which is a nice little perk. Lots of tables to work at, friendly staff, nice indie background music.

Literally the best coffee in town! Totally in love with the coffee and great customer service! The atmosphere was just perfect. Wifi is a plus, but even if there were none, I’d still camp out front in the morning to get the delicious cup of joe. PS the Spinach Quiche was also amazing!

This is an awesome local coffee shop. They have great coffee which is not pricey. They also have a great food selection and sandwiches to grab if you’re on the go. Service is always friendly, even when I’m spacey pre-coffee. My favorite thing though? Their bagels with cream cheese. I enjoy some bagel with my cream cheese if you know what you mean and they hook it up.

A review of my favorite local haunt is long overdue. Central Coffee is the best kind of local business — friendly, affordable, good coffee and tea, tasty food /pastries /bagels, free wifi, outdoor seating, pup friendly, one block away from my apartment, and open all the time(6am-7pm most days). I usually just get a medium roast coffee but on hot days they make me a bangin Italian lemon soda. The owner and employees recognize me and greet me by name, which always makes me smile. It’s clear the neighborhood locals love this place too. There are always people chatting and meeting up there and talking with the employees. It’s not really a gourmet experience but that’s not what I’m going there for either.

Quirky cast of characters, excellent coffee, and they have *bomb* bagels. For a New England girl like me, what’s not to love?

Central Coffee is a nice corner location with 10ish tables, mostly actually occupied. small space. menu: sammies, bagels, lasagna, mac & cheese, soups, salads, pasts, expresso brew: M dark roast, organic fair traded coffee(2.05) –initial harshness, smooth after awhile. –fast friendly service. drips: –parking not easy in this area.

SF has to be epicenter of overrated Unilocal reviews, and Central is just another example. I don’t mean that to be a bad reflection of this place, it’s actually decent. However I fail to see how a bunch of just-ok pastries and mid brand teas constitutes a near perfect rating. It’s a fine place… open early and good for a grab and go, but let’s not get too crazy here people.

Bus 21 Hayes stops right in front of this coffee shop! You can’t miss it! It is a simple and clean location. Besides coffee(which, by the way, you can add single, double or even quadruple shots ?!!), they also offer simple meals such as soup, salad and mac and cheese, bagels and pastries. I only ordered a mocha this time, which was done very very quickly! It was made at a more than warn temperature and with great flavors of chocolate !! Yum! They asked beforehand whether I wanted whip cream — I appreciate that they’ve asked instead of assuming! Chill music in the background, that should let you keep doing whatever you’ve planned to do! Nonetheless to say that they provide free(and fast) WiFi! I’m enjoying my time here after a long walk in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. Would recommend and come back again. :)

Quaint little place on the corner of Hayes St and wait… CENTRALAVE! Haha everything makes sense now. Anyways, this is a nice place with plenty of outlets if you want to get some reading or work done… or laundry at the laundromat next door. It gets crowded fairly quickly, so have a backup plan if you were intent on camping out for a few hours. All the tables are either single or double seating, but the tables are only really meant for one person unless you’re just reading. I chose to enjoy a small hot chocolate($ 2.70) and an apple sticky bun($ 2.70) which were both very satisfying. The service is friendly, the menu is easy to read, the music is peaceful, and the WiFi is free… what more could you want in a café? Love this place, and I’m definitely coming back to try their Central Cuisine!
