I’m from Seattle, so give be a break — I just don’t trust most of the coffee out here. I admit, I am a total snob. But the Chai Vanilla Latte they make here comes with a happy ending. I tried a little sample while attempting to scan my own groceries — a task I am apparently too stupid to do without having a machine yell at me. This has become the first drink I think of when I want a little treat. It’s smooth and delicious and full of sweet vanilla goodness. The only reason I don’t get one daily is because I think they might induce a diabetic coma and I am continually traumatized by how bloody hot they make mine every time. The younger girl who works behind the counter here might be trying to kill me cause I think she makes mine with molten lava or something. I get third degree burns through that wimpy cardboard sleeve every time. But I’m already thinking about walking over there to take the risk, cause it’s oh so worth it!

Apparently Lucky is putting these in all their supermarkets. A good move. Just like at their Sloat location, Pacific Coast features super friendly service and a very reasonably priced latte — $ 2.79 for a small with sugar free vanilla syrup. Oh, one more thing. It’s delicious.
