:(, not the best, but it is in a mall. My seafood PadThai only had two shrimps and a weirdly large amount of fishcakes, no tofu to be seen and two pieces of calamari. It was pretty soggy too. Also that + drink came out to $ 17. They do give you a good amount, but the taste is a little off. It will not be the PadThai you’re expecting.

The pineapple curry was warm, creamy, slightly sweet, and not spicy. The pad thai was warm delicious. The cashew nut chicken is cooked in a creamy sauce. This meal was better than I expected.

Had a hankering for Thai food, and this was the closest option, so decided to give it a try. What a mistake. First of all, NOTHING is vegetarian. Not even the vegetable dishes — they all have fish sauce. Vegetarians beware. They do offer a weekly vegan special if you ask. I got the vegan noodles. Eating them right now and they’re disgusting. Tastes like overcooked, greasy, bland, Chinese food. Completely overpriced as well. For this, I’d have much preferred Panda Express. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Even if you’re not veggie, apparently they use MSG in everything. The one thing I’ll say for this lunch is that I’m no longer craving Thai food…

I used to eat here on a regular basis. Then I started getting headaches whenever I ate here. I thought it was a coincidence, but the symptoms matched up with reactions brought about by MSG. The last time I went in, I asked them if they put MSG in any of their dishes. «Yes» was the reply. When pressed for which dishes, the guy working the counter said, «All of them.» Really? In 2016? MSG in *every* dish. Not only will I not eat here, I’ll actively work to educate others.

This was my go to spot for Pad Thai. I’m allergic to all types of nuts so this is the perfect place since they don’t add peanuts to their pad Thai. I haven’t ate all day so I wanted something good. I asked for a la cart pad Thai. The Asian lady pulled out a small brown box. I told her to change my order to double order pad Thai. She said ok, but still using the same small box. I told her again it was double order and she said she will squish my pad Thai to make it double order. Hell no! I am not paying for two pad Thais in the same single order box. I live in San Francisco, so if you’re going to screw the tourist, be my guest, but I’m certainly not one of them! I told the lady I did not want it anymore, so guess what she does? She dumps the Pad Thai back in the container so she doesn’t waste. This was after she handed the box to me so I can open it to see of it was double order. Customer service is not their first priority. It’s all about saving a buck! Too bad, I eat here once a week. Maybe another place would love my business! You make my belly happy, and I’ll be happy to pay you the money!

This is terrible and you should avoid if you like Thai food. If you like to-go Chinese food with Thai flavorings then go ahead. Just don’t expect for it to look good, taste good, be a decent price, or be satisfied after it’s all over. So take my word and go somewhere else(anywhere else). Or you can be like me and experience real dread as soon as some apathetic worker slops some«pad thai» on a plate and asks which of the truly disappointing entrees you’d like to help ruin your day. This was months ago and i’m still angry at myself for eating here. Never again.

I can’t get enough of their sweet lime fish! Surely there are so many places to choose from at the food court But I can’t help but keep coming back here. The sweet lime fish does have a spicy kick to it but it’s not all that you taste and they don’t use too much fried batter, so you actually get to eat fish versus oily fried stuff. The past few times I’ve just been getting the lime fish and I don’t think that would be changing anytime soon. They also have beef noodle soup and pad see ew on their menu towards the right side.

Maybe on a good day this place would be okay. My noodles were dry and the chicken was really over done and burnt in some places. They do serve a lot of food, but it’s not worth the price for the food quality. Im giving two stars only because the sauce on the ginger chicken was tasty, but still doesn’t make up for the overly chewy chicken.

I think my expectations were too high considering this was a food court restaurant. But it was decent food. I ordered the two entrée meal which was pricy, but understandably so considering it’s the Bay Area. I would definitely recommend the Spicy Basil Chicken. They have decent portions of the entrees but were slacking a bit with the rice portions. If you’re in the mall looking for a quick bite, not a bad place to check out.

This place is pretty awesome for the convenience and price. Located on the bottom floor of the mall in the food court area, you have Coriander. Usually the line is not too crazy or moves very quickly. You can see food they already have prepared in trays that you can order when getting to the front of the line. They’ll ask you if you want noodles(Pad Thai) or rice. After they’ll ask you if you want one or two entrees. You won’t end up paying more than 10 – 15 bucks for the plates. Keep in mind that the portions are huge, so one item is definitely enough to fill you up, two if you’re starving. You can also order other things they have on the menu which they will cook for you on the spot. They prepare the dishes pretty fast so you’re not waiting long. You can get an assortment of refreshments there including Thai tea and coffee. I’m listing the last two plates I had there, one entrée plate — Pad Thai with basil chicken and Pad Se Yu, which was prepared when we ordered it and then given to us within 6 – 8 minutes.

Average Thai food. Now granted, it IS mall food so I wouldn’t expect much. I got the spicy basil chicken which was good and the pad thai which was so bland. $ 11 for those two things was pretty steep, especially since this was in the mall. I probably wouldn’t come back unless I was in the mall and really craving Thai.

For food court fare, this is one of my favorite spots. For about $ 12, you can get a two item combo and the portion sizes are quite generous. You won’t leave hungry. I appreciate that they offer brown rice and that they serve water in tall glasses. In addition to the ready made entrees, there is a variety of made to order dishes available. Today I went with the Drunken Noodles. Word of warning, if you ask for it spicy, you may find yourself sweating. While I was waiting for my order, I saw someone else get the Pad See Ew, which looked amazing. Will try that next. Solid 4 stars.

Located in the food court of Westfield Mall, their Pumpkin Curry is their signature must-have. The curry mixed with the pumpkin flavor and texture, is distinctly tasty. Their Pineapple Fried Rice is good to go as well. It is a spot on Thai spot — especially for Food courts in Malls!

I guess I shouldn’t have expected much from a place in the food court of a mall. This is pretty much the Panda Express of Thai food. Don’t get me wrong though, I actually like Panda Express sometimes. They have a lot of entrees that are pre-made(good for a super quick meal) and a few that you can order that are made-to-order. I didn’t have enough time to wait so I got the Pad Thai with the basil chicken. They were both okay. The Pad Thai was okay, but didn’t really taste like what you would order from a restaurant. The basil chicken was okay too. It had really good flavor, but it got tiring after a while. Overall, if you need a quick meal, and you like fast food Thai food, this is a good pick.

This was my favorite place to get lunch at when I used to work at the mall. Pretty expensive for a two entrée plate which was probably the only downside for me. A two entrée plate was about $ 14 – 15 and that didn’t even include the addition of a drink. I love everything here though. My top two favorite things here are the sweet basil chicken and the sweet lime fish with brown rice. I usually get this. I’ve tried plenty of other things they serve like the spicy catfish, yellow curry, and sweet chili tofu — all are very good. If you want, you can do half pad thai, half brown rice. I haven’t had their thai tea here but their lychee tea is pretty good! If you wanna save money, there are plenty of other choices in the food court and around downtown! Sometimes I feel like you’d get more of your money’s worth if you hit up King of Thai near Union Square.

3.5 stars. This place to me is guilty pleasure for Thai food as just Panda Express is a guilty pleasure for Chinese food. I only come for sweet basil chicken and spicy catfish curry. Perhaps Sorabol next door has set the bar pretty low for this food court or I’m just ravenous between shopping sprees.

If you are downtown at meal time, there are so many places for a quick meal. If you have time and money there are so many other options. We decided to try this place before a movie after sampling a piece of chicken. Portions are generous but taste is barely ok. Food does not look appetizing on the plate. Seems like there is one central kitchen in back with a few cooks who put a slightly different spin on each storefront’s offerings, but they are not very authentic Did not cost much – guess you get what you pay for. 2.5 but knocked off the half star because it’s so noisy. Probably would have rounded to 3 stars for lunch, but I expect dinner to be a little nicer.

While searching for a place to eat at the food court here, I must say I got tricked into buying food here after trying their samples. I got a plate of Pad Thai and some kind of chicken while my girlfriend got food from a Korean place right next to it. In front of me, there was this elder couple who were clueless about Thai food and they ended up getting some random mix of stuff. We grabbed a table nearby and started eating our own food. Before I begin criticizing their food, I have to note that the food did not look appetizing. In fact, the smell was killing my appetite. I have to note this was not my first time eating Thai food for those of you who may think I am just being a weeny about Southeast Asian cuisine. I have had Thai food countless number of times back in Berkeley and Pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes. Anyhow, the Pad Thai noodles were simply horrible. They were damp and all plastered together as if they were a few days old. The chicken I got, in which I do not remember the name at the moment, tasted old and somewhat rancid. I tried to finish my food for the sake of spending more than $ 10, but there was just no way. Every few bites, I had to eat some Korean food from my girlfriend’s plate to swallow this abomination down my stomach. The only reason why this place does not get just one star is that they give a lot of food.

Food here is great! Actually one of my favorite spots in Westfield mall(from food court). They have delicious curries. My favorite is Pumpkin Curry and Pineapple Curry but also stir fried tofu is good(even hard). You can order brown rice for extra $ 1.00. I’m giving only 3 stars because: — the food here(except curries) can be cold. I was served cold food twice. — the prices are high for food court meal. 2 item meal costs $ 13.00. That’s what you pay at the restaurant! — not many vegetarian dishes. I wish they had vegetarian curry. — tofu they serve is tasty but too hard and chewy.

Mall food. I recommend a two item dish and share with someone. I went with two Chicken sides, one with Basil, the other with Ginger. Also upgraded to the Pad Thai Noodles. I enjoyed the Basil side the best, yet I typically don’t enjoy strong ginger flavors to begin with. If you like ginger, it surely will taste like it.

Cold food. I came here for lunch. Did the combo and picked noodles, panang curry beef, and cashew chicken. The cashew chicken was far from fresh. It was stone cold; soggy and gross. The noodles were okay but lacked flavor and spices. Lastly the Panang curry beef was tough and chewy and not in a good way. I simply couldn’t eat the meal. I composted it. I should have known better. Generally anything that has to put the word«Gourmet» in the name — isn’t. There is far better Thai food to be had!

Coriander Gourmet Thai is located on the food court level of Westfield Mall on Market Street in San Francisco. It is amongst the plethora of pickings for mall food. While working at the Westfield, I frequented Coriader Gourmet for some reason — mind you, this was about 5+ years ago(aka I didn’t know too much about great Thai food). Moving forward, I visited Coriader the other day, and it was not what I remembered and/or would expect, especially at their price range for mall food! I have the combo of three items with pad thai, green beans, and green curry. I loved the green beans, but seriously, who could get that wrong? The pad thai was WEIRD — it did not at all taste like pad thai like i’ve had at other Thai restaurants. It was sour and the noodles were way too thick. The green curry was okay, loads of bamboo shoots, which I love, but the sauce was too watery and I have definitely had better curry! Honestly, if you’re starving, then yeah, go for it. But I probably will never return again. Sorry, Coriander.

I usually get either the Panang Beef Curry or the Spicy Basil Chicken here with a side of rice or broccoli. This time I decided to get a two-item plate and try the Pad Thai with the Spicy Basil Chicken and the Spicy Catfish. The Pad Thai was 50 cents extra. Don’t get the Pad Thai. It doesn’t have much stuff in it and it is too vinegary. Some reviewers said it was too sweet, but the one I had was too tangy. It didn’t have a good balance of sourness, sweetness and saltiness. You’re better off getting the white or brown rice with your meal. Both entrees, the chicken and catfish, were spicy, but the chicken was a little dry. The catfish was fine. It was a nice combination of spicy and sweet. I probably won’t order the chicken next time. They had an eggplant dish that looks good. I might try that and get one of the curries.

My favorite in the Westfield Food Court as well as across the street at the Metreon. I usually get the one item with either Spicy catfish or the Sweet Basil with Chicken. With water your bill will come to $ 10.25. If you are seeing a movie at the Metreon location you can show them your ticket stub for a discount. My friends say they like their curry! For mall food it is pretty darned good food although they don’t give very large portions. I highly recommend if you can’t figure out what to choose.
