I got online and checked out their menu. I decided to order a Chicken breast sandwich for $ 3.95 as stated on their online menu, and their fruit salad for $ 2.95. When I got there they charged me $ 6.95 for the sandwich, and over $ 3 for their fruit which was left over at the end of the day. They already had the fruit in a container for storage. DONOT trust their online menu. The store is owned by Chinese, and you know that they will get one on you if they can. Be weary when you go there. They might tag along $ 1 or $ 2 on your final price. Just giving you a heads up.

I love De Leon! The staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate whatever crazy orders I bring them. Sonja and her family have become neighborhood friends and I really enjoy starting my morning in De Leon each day. The breakfast is great and there are many options. The open salad bar is very nice as well. It can get busy but never to the extent that I would cry about it. Thanks for starting mornings off on the right foot!

Good sandwiches. Not the nicest or cleanest feeling place but def safe due to the amount of cops and lawyers in there.

Many people don’t know this and it’s not like they advertise it outside, but they have daily Korean food specials(one Korean item every day, usually). I’ve had their bibimbap here before and it was pretty good, but definitely not the best. Reminds me of Korean fast food, but there aint any other Korean joints around the area, so if you’re craving Korean, you might want to check this place out if you’re in the area or if you have jury duty across the street. Their daily specials change every week, so you can try calling before coming if you’re interested.

I’m a fan because I eat here almost everyday and the owner’s are very kind people. The pricing is a bit allover the place but otherwise the salad bar and breakfast sandwiches are tasty. A favorite for jury members, SFPD, Deputies, Bail Bondsmen, DA’s, Asst. DA’s and court personnel. Very safe!

Another of the few dining options for people doing jury duty and Hall of Justice employees. Service is usually fast. The owners are Koreans, Mia & Song. In business for 18 years, so far. Just average quality sandwiches(around $ 5) and salads($ 4.45/lb.), not really impressed. Don’t forget to check the board of daily specials(around $ 6, for American & Asian diner-style entrees like: meatloaf, lasagna, spaghetti, kung pow chicken, chow fun, fried rice & potstickers, etc.) and soup of the day(around $ 3; minestrone, chicken noodle, clam chowder, cream of broccoli, etc.), posted near the entrance. They also serve breakfast, some pastries and snacks. I don’t know why some Unilocalers marked«good for kids = no», why? Hours: Mon-Thu 5:30am-4pm, Fri 5:30am-3pm.

Decent prices and portion sizes. The sandwiches are generally better than their daily specials. Service is super friendly.

Reliable and fast. Sometimes I miss eating rice in the morning and they offer spam, eggs, and rice for a very cheap price. cheaper than what my momma charges me for sure. I like coming here on Wednesdays, they have a Fried Tilapia with garlic noodle and salad but be forewarned they dont have it every Wednesday… its every other Wednesday. The other Wednesdays they do the same thing with Shrimp. It’s also not expected that they would have great hot plates since it does look like just a convenience store, but trust me and try it!

I just had lunch there today, as I had jury duty across the street. I’d have to say… They do have a great variety of salad bar… which I wanted. I have yet to try their sandwiches and other items on my future visits…

I’m torn because their sandwiches are bad, but if you think of it as a convenience store/snack stand, it’s better. I would have tried their breakfast, but thankfully, I didn’t end up getting selected for The Trial of Century, San Francisco style. And even if I had, would I really want to eat breakfast each morning across the street from where I would be sitting through hours of testimony about robbery, assault, and murder? OK, so I’ll go ahead and go with two stars because the bad sandwich combined with the mean-to-other-customers-but-not-to-me service were off-putting. Plus, I seem to get called for jury duty every single year, so I’m sure I’ll be back, and if I am, I’ll be sure to give Deli De Leon another try.

The go-to place for coffee when you’re doing time at the Hall of Justice’s jury room. They’re stocked with three or four freshly-brewed, carafed, blends. The menu board shows standard deli fare, and there’s a staff waiting to make breakfasts or sandwiches to order. Not much seating, if you’re doing food, but overall it’s a good-looking deli offering deli food and coffee.

Working at the HOJ, there’s not a lot of nearby dining options. Deli De Leon is my default place, because I’m never NOT in the mood for a sandwich. In the words of Mitch Hedberg, «I eat a lot of sandwiches, who doesn’t man, sandwiches are easy to eat.» This place is pretty fast and definitely convenient. I usually switch my sandwich orders between the chicken breast, roast turkey, regular turkey, and egg salad. All are good– nothing phenomenal, but totally decent. I like that they put plenty of pepperoncinis in. Note: asking for«everything» on your sandwich includes jalapeño peppers, which some people are not ok with(I am not one of those weird people). I’ve tried a couple of soups here– the cream of broccoli was good and the cream of potato was not. It was too thick, basically potatoes that were only partially pureed… somewhere between pureed and mashed. It wasn’t exactly«soup.» The people behind the counter are really friendly and service is prompt. Sometimes the line gets long, but the wait never seems to get too bad. Be forewarned that it is cash only, which is the only non-convenient place about this place(they have an ATM inside, with the usual non-bank fees).

I really like this place — it’s been around for years and still the same friendly smiling faces behind the counter. It’s one of the cheapest places for decent grub near the courthouse and carries all your salad and sandwich necessities. I’m a fan of the roast turkey sandwich — fresh pulled turkey… mmm!

Big tub of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter sitting on the counter? Healthier. But sketch. Dirt cheap prices on the salad bar where you can load up on fruit and fresh turkey for a couple of bucks? Cool.

3.70 stars. This is a good alternative to Café Roma for coffee. De Leon has different types of coffee for you to choose from, and the size is bigger(one cup size…) for the same price as Roma. I had their sandwiches too, and they were delicious. You have the option to only order half a sandwich. That’s a great idea when you’re not really that hungry or want to avoid massive food coma before an important court appearance. It’s a family-run business and I recommend it!

I was all excited to try Mama Lucy’s, which has got to be the quintessential courthouse eating spot, right? But… it appears to be closed indefinitely. So for now that honor goes to Deli De Leon. It definitely has the hectic feel that the courthouse crowd brings. Which is why, if you’re not already on this block, you can definitely find similar and better quick-eats in the area(eg, Wolfe’s, which also does American fare punctuated with Korean dishes). Even if you are on this block, Caffe Roma is way more pleasant. Unless you’re starving for an Italian Hero on Dutch Crunch(a la Roxie’s), in which case this may be your best bet.

OMG. I love this place. And I miss this place. I used to work around this area, and I was obsessed with this place… sigh. Salads = yum. Great selection on toppings. Sandwiches = good and decent portions. Breakfast = good too. Limited though. Drinks = plenty to choose from. Coffee, teas, bottled stuff. Service = fast, get in and get out. Not always friendly. Seating = some tables and chairs, for the lunch crowds mostly.

The challenge: It’s lunch time. I’m STARVING. I’ve got 5 minutes to get lunch and get back to the office(where I’ll eat while researching, doing paperwork, and… uh…possibly Unilocaling ALLATTHESAMETIME.) And I ONLYHAVE $ 7! What will I ever do? How will I survive? There’s GOTTOBEANANSWER!!! The solution: Deli De Leon! Fast, cheap, and always polite service with a smile? Yes! Wholly average meals and sandwiches? Yes! Does it get me through lunch so that I can finish my day? Yes. Thanks Deli De Leon for getting me through another hectic lunch, and being so NICE about it. I wish you’d take credit cards, though…

I dropped my car off at Glass Pro this morning, beer boxes on my shattered window to keep the bums out. This afternoon I’ll be cruising around in style once again! Shattered glass free anyway. That’s beside the point. I left there this morning at 8:05, knowing that I was walking to 2nd and Market from 6th and Bryant, and needing some sustenance to get me through the treacherous walk thru SOMA. I saw a McDonalds ahead of me. That’s OK Lauren, you are walking… you can be gross and get an egg mcmuffin and no one will judge. Then I saw this place. Delideleon had a whole lil breakfast menu, one of the items being a breakfast sammich and with all the components of an egg mcmuffin but not processed and gross. English muffin, bacon, egg, and cheese all for $ 2.71 with tax. OK, I didn’t get the much desired hash brown… but I probably didn’t need the grease anyway. They have a great sandwich menu and most are under $ 5. If you work in the neighborhood,(at the courthouse, a bail bonds place, or an auto-repair place… cuz I think that’s all that is in this neighborhood), then I suggest you stop on by. Their menu claims they have«The Best Food in the City!» That’s sayin something…
