This place not only has DELICIOUS steam black bean spare ribs over rice(which is what they are famous for) but they also have delicious shrimp dumplings. The shrimp dumpling are small in size but they are absolutely yum. They have a pretty limited options compare to larger size dim sum restaurants. I’ve only sat in once to eat when I was a younger kid. Now I usually order it to-go and bring it home to eat after grocery shopping with parents. This place does look grimy and a hole in the wall but food here is worth it. The staff that works here are all family and very nice. Busy too last time I went. Parking isn’t easy to find around the area, if you are with someone, I suggest one of you get food to-go while the other parks nearby.

This place is famous for their steam black bean spare ribs over rice for $ 2.50. One order of these can fill you up! The place looks grimy and all like a hole in the wall restaurant but they the spare rib over rice is off the hook! It is good to GO as well!!! This is central place for the entire grandpa’s and grandma’s place for dim sum because it’s good and cheap. They serve all types of dim sum to go as well you just have to know what to order. The staff that works there is all family and is very nice and will help you. –Parking– Overall hole-in-the-wall restaurant! Good food for cheap, I’ve been here since I was a kid and it deserves a four stars because I still come here often!!! Overall this is located in heart of Chinatown between the corners of Stockton & Pacific. It is pretty difficult to find parking and it will be a metered spot if you do find it. Suggest you go with a friend and double park while you or your friend run in and order your food!

Have you ever been in a situation where you only had $ 5 and you wanted to eat until you were sick… keep in mind I did not say SOMUCH that you were sick… just eat some… and not feel well… then try this place. Let me preface this with I have eaten at a lot of lousy places… I have eaten food at food carts in Thailand and Mexico… I have eaten places in China and Hong Kong where they have cats running around to catch the rats… I have eaten in an alley way in Vietnam… The difference between this place and all the aforementioned places… I would go back to them and would not go back to Doh Ho Dim Sum… In the words of Mike W. They should change this place to SLOWHO dim sum. They only have 2 carts… I am not sure where they are 90% of the time, but they are not on the floor. My friend Tejas was able to watch a cook try a remove his own tooth as he was cooking… no joke… What is a joke is this place was mentioned in last weeks Chronicle… I guess now that Bush is out of office they have nothing to talk about… They mentioned 4 places: City View: Good Clean… a little pricey… Yank Sing: Good Clean… VERY Pricey Hang Ah Tea Room: Good VERY cheap… and Doh Ho Dim Sum… there are 1000 other Dim Sum places in the city that deserved to be mentioned before this place! All this aside I will give the place 2 stars because half of the plates we were able to get were not bad… I still feel a little sick right now… if I lose my lunch… you will know because I will drop this place to one star!

Okie, this small place is located in the heart of Chinatown. They serve the hottest, yummest sparerib rice for 2.25. Another of my favorite is cilantro and shrimp rice noddle. Emmm. Steaming hot! This is is kinda dirty, and priority for seating is out of control. Seeing, a seat, and jumping for it is the best way to find a seat, just sit and wait for someone to come serve you. But other than the little critisim, this place serve excellent food, for a cheap price!
