Wow this place is so cheap and food is actually not that bad. They were closed but luckily I had ordered the food over the phone. If I am around Misson District I know where to go for good and cheap lunch.

Best Korean chicken I’ve ever tasted. I waited for an hour &30 minutes because they close from 3:00 — 4:00 pm monday thru thursday. It would of been nice if they would say that on their web page & Unilocal

Absolutely greatest Korean Chinese food in the Bay Area. The Korean chicken is to die for. It’s in the heart of the Mission same recipe as they did in the 80s.

Hits the spot every time. I’ve been eating the Korean chicken from here ever since I’ve been old enough to eat. Haha. My dad used to come pick it up after school for us way back in the day when it was $ 5 flat for the same size order. Not only does the food hold many memories for me but it’s just sooo good. I have yet to find another place that serves Korean chicken like they do. They’re fried rice is great to. So what it looks like the kinda place that’s been around 25+ years. With all the gentrification going on in that area and the places on Valencia st-it’s nice having this spot as an anchor. The good olé feeling of «some things will never change»(including the f*** you service that comes along with going anywhere with my pops lol)

This is another example of how Unilocal needs weight classes for ratings. My four stars for this neighborhood Chinese place aren’t the same as four stars I’d give to, say, a Michael Mina place or something of that nature. That said, this is a pretty good, reliable, neighborhood Chinese place – greasy, salty, all that. If you’re looking for innovative cuisine, move on. This place is all about tried and true. The Korean wings are as good as advertised, though not very spicy(maybe they toned them down for the white guy?). Spring rolls and chow mein were also tasty, but definitely not light on the oil or salt. Good spot for locals to get take out, probably not that much of a destination I’d travel to.

I have no idea what those other Unilocalers are talking about. They have never steered me so wrong. Sweet and sour chicken– gross. Korean chicken — thought it would be grilled. Asked for it spicy. It was basically a deep friend wings in a very sweet sauce. Their fried rice was bland. It wasn’t just okay — it was straight up bad.

GETTHEKOREANCHICKEN. it’s bomb. other stuff i’ve ordered here wasn’t the best and i could probably do without. sweet and sour soup is just okay, the dumplings aren’t good, and the chow mein isn’t great either. however, the food is really cheap and again, the korean chicken is SOGOOD(but will definitely give you a food coma afterwards)

I’m incredibly grateful for this find. If San Tung is 10⁄10 quality, this place is 9⁄10 and much cheaper and closer to me. There was no wait and service was incredibly quick. I made 3 orders of the Korean Fried Chicken, and made some rice and salad at home. This was enough to make 6 people incredibly full, so the portions here are great. Definitely coming back to this place, and will most likely order to-go again because the place itself is a bit too dark for me to feel happy eating one hell of a great meal. LOL. but seriously, it’s delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place! I had never been to San Francisco. We realized we were on the edge of Chinatown and were wanting lunch so I searched best cheap food in Chinatown San Francisco and came up with this place. A party was coming out as we were going in and they asked if we had ever eaten there and when we said no they started going off about how it was the best food. They were right, it was fantastic. It is a hole in the wall, no thrills, restaurant with good portions and cheap prices. The t

This place is good!!! There are lots of Chinese restaurants in the city, we came here as a second option when my bookmarked place was closed for vacation. It doesn’t look like much that’s for certain. But it was very busy so it was a good sign. It was $ 28 or so for three of us to eat with plenty of leftovers we actually had to give to a homeless person because we weren’t going home. Food was very good in quality and flavor. I could tell what kind of meat I was eating, which is very hard to come by in Chinese cuisine. I was kind of disappointed that on the combo plates for one they don’t let you do half rice half chow mein, but my friend and I just gave each other a little bit of each. The Szechuan shrimp was sooooo good, I loved the flavor of the sauce, the batter made the shrimp a little soggy but it was still good shrimp. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Mongolian beef, it was very salty and missing somewhat sweet flavor that I actually found in the Szechuan sauce so I took a scoop of my friends plate and mixed it with my Mongolian beef. I would definitely recommend this place to friends near by, and I would come back as well.

I really have no idea why this restaurant is rated so highly. First of all, the pitcher of water that was given to us was extremely filthy. We had to ask for bottled water. Their service is poor, no one asked us if we enjoyed our food or needed anything else. We ordered plenty of dishes and none of them edible. They all had some weird oil taste to it and the orange chicken we ordered was so hard from the inside that we lost our appetites. The worst part is how they added service fee on their own when we were even really provided with much of it.

Great food and very friendly service. Did I mention cheap and huge portions? It’s a nice spot for a relaxed lunch. Great for big groups as they have those tables with middle rolling top. I’m coming back with friends next time.

Since I currently live in Los Angeles I often crave delicious Chinese food.(Los Angeles doesn’t have many amazing options unless you want to take an hour drive). I decided to trust help and ventured into the mission district with my Chinese food craving. I’m very happy Unilocal directed me to this restaurant. The venue was large and my group and I were seated by the windows at a round table. The staff was efficient and brought our orders out in a timely manner. Everything tasted excellent. We ordered the salty fish fried rice, broccoli beef, cashew chicken, cashew nut prawns, chicken chow mien and a couple other items that I can’t recall. It was all very good and our bill came out to $ 14 each(including tax and tip) which was fantastic. I recommend trying this spot if you are in the area. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here but if already in the area then I wouldn’t hesitate.

It was… meh…just ok. Didn’t care for the hot and sour soup… too salty and bland. The Kung Pao Chicken was overly salty and a bit bland as well. I’ve had much better.

It’s generally a typical Chinese restaurant. They serve the usual chow mein, fried rice, dinner specials for groups, etc. I cane here for the Korean Chicken Wings though. I got the combination rice plate w/a soup, fried rice, korean chicken wings, & the potstickers. Verdict: — Fried Rice: Ok. I was hungry so I devoured it. Nothing special. — Potstickers: Not the best I’ve had. — Korean Wings: Crispy but sauce was a little too sweet and had a tartness in the background. I still like San Tung’s version. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - Overall my experience wasn’t worth raving about. Glad I tried it but I would rather go to San Tung for my chicken needs. But if I was in the area… I’d try the other stuff like chow mein & walnut prawns. Prices are relatively low so that’s a plus at least.

We found this place quite by accident when we were in SF and looking for an early lunch. Based on the reviews we decided to give it a go. In a nutshell, if you are super hungry and need a huge amount of food, this place will not disappoint. I couldn’t believe how much food we got for about $ 8 each. We had the special for 3 with pot stickers(4), hot & sour soup(huge bowl — filled 6 smaller cups), fried rice(giant mound), chicken with mixed veggies and Mongolian beef. The food was good, about average for these dishes. We had so much leftover that we took home enough for another meal. Everything seemed seasoned with soy sauce and was very brown in color. The ingredients seemed to be of good quality. If we go again, I’d make sure and getting something that wasn’t brown.

Pretty standard Chinese food place in the Mission. Has both authentic and westernized Chinese food, which is good. The décor inside looks like the place has been around for a while, and the food certainly reflects that as well. The scrambled egg with rice was not bad – a little on the dry side, and a bit salty. The place looks like it’s family owned – I’m sure it can earn much more if it steps up the vibe to cater to the Mission hipster crowd, but looks like the family store is here to stay, which is good. All in all, a decent Chinese food place.
