This place used to be called WONMI Korean restaurant. Same owner and same staff. Very expensive compared to other Korean restaurants in the area. Beware

is Jubab a do over/reincarnation of Won Mi? some reviewers think so. the posted menu on the front window is very pricey ala WONMI. fortunately, i got a lunch menu which was a few $$ chepaer). décor looks new, stylish. forget ehat Won Mi looked like. flatscreen features K-pop:. the same. eats: rib soup(9.95) –rib pieces and thick bones with tender meats attached. not a lot of flavor –broth flavoring from radish, msg, and the pork. eggs added décor, no taste –7 panchan mostly bland, still fresh banchan: –after getting food, didn’t see waitress again. –rib soup 2 stars, maybe the other dishes better. doubtful repeat. –posters shoy Psy hawking soju. –evening menu very pricey.

How many times are you really hungry, especially out at a club or something, but it’s late and nothing’s open? Well this place is open until 4am! Actually, the kitchen closes at 3:30am, but still. There’s not many places that are open that late, and the ones that are are usually gross. JuBab aparently used to be called something else, and they still have some of the sinage and menu up, so when looking for it, just go by the address. We came in a few minutes after 3am on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Service was prompt and so was the food. We ordered a lot for the five of us, and it was all delicious!(No, and none of us were drunk). I would eat here during normal times too, if I were in the area. I don’t remember exactly what we ordered, as we did it family style, but there wasn’t a single crumb left on any of the dishes when we were done. Price came out to about $ 25 per person. I’m sure I’ll be back! Korean beats something like a bad, greasy burrito any day!

Really love the quality here. It’s a little over average price but some of the best Korean cooking I’ve had. And I’m from l. a ktown.

Found this great place walking down fillmore. Such high quality of food! The two of us order Gal Bi(short rib) and BBQ grilled chicken. Added kimchee fried rice with egg. Also Korean pancake with green onions. The meat first: very high quality, amazingly cooked and seasoned. Gal bi came out to $ 22 for a plate but the amount of meat we got in the two dishes could easily be shared with one more person. More than enough to fill us up. Cannot wait to try more meat dishes! The kimchee fried rice was a bit disappointing as it wasn’t seasoned well. Probably won’t get that again. The pancake was delicious but we didn’t have enough room to eat it all. Took home and devoured same day. Friendly service with the sweetest waitress. Nice environment too, clean and spacious. Will be making this a usual for after workout protein :)

This place was Won Mi before. Nothing has changed except for the name. They said the owner is the same and they still use the old menus. The sundae soup is the«spicy» kind but it was really more like sludge. It had a weird tangy taste with a little hint of ramen soup packet taste. The pork neck potato soup was so-so. And the pork belly sauté was the best thing. You can’t go wrong with thinly-sliced pork belly with onions and sesame oil. If I had known it was the same place, I wouldn’t have even bothered coming.

Wandered to this restaurant because the club across the street was too packed. We ordered some sake and beer and decided to just hangout here instead. The restaurant is open until 4am so it was an easy plan b! When our party of 5 first ordered 4 large sakes the server was actually laughing and repeating our order because he didn’t think we could drink that much.(I knew i liked him then) so we ended up only getting two. And then one more. And then another. He was very friendly and was quick to take our order! We also got beef & chicken. It was just okay. Overall, for drinking this place is pretty fun lol.

JuBab is open til 4AM!!! WOOHOOLATENIGHTKOREANGRUBBERY!!! EDIBLES: –Su-lang-tang(Kalbi Soup w/glass noodles) — Yummy yummy with rice and banchan! Great cure for curing hangovers! –San-geh-tang(Ginseng Chicken soup) — Yummy with rice and banchan too! Great for people with bad allergies or if you feeling a bit sickly! SERVICE: Mediocre. Wasn’t too popping for me, but the lil dude got my food pretty quick. OVERALL: I’m a happy camper, so I’ll definitely be back after a good drunk night of karaōke or shooting some pool close by.

Weeknight with only 2 other tables present, both of which had Indian or Middle Eastern people. #tahrirhipsters Diversity points. Waiter who almost, aaaalmost tripped up my gaydar. Metro points(?). Prices weren’t cheap but weren’t $Wooden Charcoal$ or(heaven forbid) $$Seoul Garden$$. Cash points. My archnemesis, KPop, was playing on TV; I survived. Barely. Goodlawdgetmeouttahere points.

I work until 3 am and occasionally look for something to eat. There are not many options, so I was super happy when I found this place. Delicious healthy food for relatively cheap. They always bring out an assortment of kimchi, delicious tea and everything I have ordered here has been absolutely delicious. I would eat here during the day too, but I’m sure glad they are open until 4am.
