Karen Chu MD

I LOVE Dr. Chu!
I normally dread the yearly paps, but what women doesn’t? But with Dr. Chu I need not to worry bc well she’s quick, gentle and pain free. She’s definitely a pro at what she does best. Great bed side manners and answers all of my questions with sensitivity.
I do adore her entire staff bc their always there to assist in anything I needed.

Dr. Chu was very attentive to my concerns. She listened to my worries and had me referred to a perinatologist to have my cervix measured during my pregnancy. This was my first pregnancy and I didn’t want to lose my baby to incompetent cervix which I was at risk at due to a previous surgery. Another more experienced MD in the office told my midwife I would be fine as many women have had my problem before and were fine. Dr. Chu was more thorough in having me referred to a perinatologist… sure enough, my last ultrasound scan showed that I may have a problem and will have to continue to be followed for longer by the perinatology practice. I am so glad Dr. Chu listened to me and acted on my concerns despite the fact most women who’ve had my surgery have never miscarried. In fact, from what I’ve read most women never have my opportunity to catch incompetent cervix before they lose a baby so I feel very lucky Dr. Chu was willing to think «outside the box.»
