This place is not ok. Rude and unprofessional staff. Worst dentist experience I’ve ever had.

I liked Dr. Kir but since his son started working, many of us were his son guinea pig. One day I went in for a teeth cleaning. WTFHKFFSR! I went home and saw that my gum was filled with little dark red spots. No wondering it was hurting like a beetch throughout the process! I accidentally broke my retainers, so I decided to come give this place another try since this was where I got my braces and was hoping for a discount since I’ve been coming here for about 10years. Few days later I went to pick up my retainers, tried it on. the sides were smooth but the middle part was rough and there was a big chunk of material there that made it so uncomfortable for me. I knew that his son would hurt my gum but didn’t think he sucked at making retainers also.

Dr. Kir has retired already. I was one of his firs patients, since he started his business, around 1986 – 1987 when I was in HS. He was my dentist prior when he was w/NEMS. I went to get braces and later had other dental work with him. Dr. Kir was not a good dentist. He was always crowded and overbooked. They used to have 3 – 4 rooms and overbook people. You wait along time even w/an appt and then you get ushered in a room only to wait longer. He would alternate working on ¼ patients one at a time. The reason why I say he was not a good dentist is based on all the work I’ve had with him: full mouth braces; 1 bridge, a couple of fillings/root canals, and a broken tooth fixed. After removing the braces(back then they’d glue the metal stuff on your teeth) he chipped and cracked a couple of my teeth as my teeth is very delicate. It didn’t get fixed and wasn’t as noticeable; however in time it got worst. He didn’t do ‘preventive work’ it seems. I used to ask him a few times if i needed a «cleaning» and he kept saying no. Later when i started college i had friends tell me what a cleaning is like and how it’s uncomfrtable, if not painful. He did it one time for me but it lasted 5 min! It later occured to me that he was making sooo much money doing oral surgery and other stuff, that’s why they dont’ want to deal with the preventive stuff. I had a bridge done so he had to grind up my front 2 teeth in order to cap them to put a bridge. The cap/bridge was so poorly done that it does not align with my nose. It’s so off(a couple mm?) and is so noticeable and visble that on my graduation portrait i had smiled and showed the front teeth, it looks horrible b/c it was so off. also I never knew that you were supposed to have someone usher you home if you have some oral surgery done. B/c i was never told that. In fact even when i had fillings or root canals done w/him, he’d do multiple them even though they were on diff sides of the mouth. It wasn’t until later at another dentist, i was told they work on one side of the mouth at a time. Twenty years later, I had dentists tell me that that was really sloppy work and shd have been re-done/repaired. Back the clientele you get there is all low income and immigrants. They don’t complain. They just get their teeth done. Now his son runs the place as the dad has established patients. I considered returning –perhaps having them fix and repair the previous work, but my hubby says i should step foot in there anymore.
