Nice event on this sunny day. But the strong wind made it very difficult to see and maneuver. Good job to all the contestants!

I’ve never participated in the Sandcastle Classic, but ever since I found out about it about 7 or 8 years ago, I try to stop by to check out all the hard work that the kids and architects put in. Their creations are amazing!
Great activity/​event for kids and families.
Watch out for those windy days though. We’ve gone a couple years where it’s been crazy windy and we’d come home to find sand in crevices we didn’t even know we had.

My son’s 3rd grade class participated in the 25th anniversary of the Leap Sandcastle Classic. We won «Most Creative» this year! Woohoo! What an awesome event! I’ve lived in San Francisco most of my life but only heard about it for the first time this year! The program rocks!!! The kids are paired with architect firms… It was 6 hours of hauling, digging, scooping, dirty work, but it was FUN!
