Lot D Overflow Parking

Very fast and convenient parking. Coming from both north or south 101. Lots of parking and shuttles run every 10 – 15 mins to main terminal.

This was the «old» long-​term parking at SFO, and I wish it still was. It’s closer to the terminal, and the shuttles come just as often. Alas, you only get to go here on overflow these days.

You’re driving to Long Term Parking and all of a sudden you see the heart sinking sign «Full.» Back in the day they’d send you to the main terminal and you’d get to park in the short term parking.
No longer – now you go to Lot D. It’s not *that* bad – so don’t freak out yet.
I’d compare it to parking outside of the main structure at LTP. It’s a big parking lot with it’s own bus – make sure you pay attention and take the special Lot D bus when you return from your trip.
Also, there are no pay stations. You just pay right at the cashier outside of the exit. At the end of the day, a relatively easy parking experience.
