What an unexpected delightful experience ! While a somewhat limited menu, the things that we ordered were delicious and portion sizes were very generous. The staff was very pleasant and we felt that they really cared that our experience was as positive as it could be. We look forward to a future visit.

Place is amazing. Great fresh authentic food. Takes long if timely for lunch is necessary Great veggie platter(huge) the 2 person portion feeds 3 full meals. The shawarma are delicious and toasted like a panini. Great wine selections and service. Love this place.

Décor is nice. Good presentation on food. Nice server. Can’t stand the fact that the food is overpriced and doesn’t taste good. The babaghanouj is from a can, it’s not fresh. Not sure if I’ll go back

I had written a terrible review for the old owners but now its a new owner and the place is awesome! — owner is friendly and professional — food is really very good and not just fast middle eastern food adapted for american pallet, this is the real stuff — generous portions — good music from the middle east! — fresh bread is given(which is not often the case in middle eastern places when they think you are american) — vege platter is awesome: there is one item that always changes and its the specialty of the day i guess and its often different, unexpected and lovely — hummus and babaganoush are not from a can! thank god.

Very disappointing. I’d heard good things about this place but the food was so bland and tasteless. The best thing I had were the dolmas. The baba ganoush was decent. The hummus and falafel were not good – hummus was bland, falafel was spongey. The pita tasted stale. Our waitress was very nice so at least we had good service. Won’t be coming back here.

This place is okay. I was disappointed after reading the good reviews, but the food is flavorless. Even the hummus — zero taste. Everything is badly in need of salt. Service is also a little slow.

Meh. Nothing tasted fresh and the food wasn’t quite spiced right. The artichoke gratin had no flavor. The yogurt was great. Probably not coming back here.

Tasteless. The food, the restaurant itself, and the people working there. Spent a lot of money on inedible food. Please don’t waste your time or money here. There are many excellent restaurants here that offer this type of food. This is not one of them. The food was disgusting. The rudeness if the staff was worse than the food.

When we got to the restaurant, we thought it was a club. There were flashing colored lights behind the bar that were changing colors between red, green and blue every few seconds. There was a large helium balloon that said«Love» floating in the middle of the restaurant. We were seated quickly, but I was weary because the restaurant was almost empty and quite stuffy. Nonetheless, we had reservations so we decided we’d see how things go. We were seated quickly. Minutes after we were seated, the waitress dropped off a plate with two roses, and said«I’ll just leave these here». We didn’t really know what to think about that. The prix-fixe menu was interesting. it turns out that we would get every single appetizer. I can only summarize the food as marginally-mediocre. The flatbread, was in a basket and look like it just came from a package from the store. It was thin, less than 6 mm thick and no-where close to the pictures of flatbread on the Unilocal page. It reminded me of communion wafers from going to church when I was little. As time approached towards the end of the meal, we heard some ruckus from the table next to us about the price. I hadn’t seen anything about the price before and had no concerns. but began to brace myself in case the bill was more than we expected. We got the bill and it was $ 350 for two people. The food, in my most optimistic world where I hold extreme mercy on the chef and the establishment, combined with the service and the ambience. would be at tops worth $ 50/person. We left the restaurant distraught and confused. We learned later that the restaurant had come under new ownership recently. We can only suppose that they have been having friends and family post reviews on Unilocal to keep the rating up. They’ve cut quality, and made the restaurant very cheesy. We spoke to OpenTable support for a few weeks before posting this review. The restaurant asserts that they warned people about the price. Our assertion is that, before we clicked«book this restaurant» on OpenTable. We did not see the notice for $ 175/person. The notice was in the«Thank you for booking this restaurant» message sent AFTER we booked. These people are sharks and its my moral obligation to let people know to not visit this restaurant. What they are doing should be illegal. Even if they had stated the price of the restaurant before booking, they would still be sharks just for charging $ 175 for barely mediocre food. I can only assume, that the couple next to us felt the same. This restaurant is charging $ 100+ for quality that is

Pleasant experience. We were hoping for better. Wine– Pinots are my thing and I judge the«nice“ness of a place by the type of glass it’s served in and I’m usually right when I try this ;) We went the small plate route and ordered cauliflower au gratin, Makdous, Warak Enab, Fattoush and Haloumi Cheese Panini. The Warak Enab(dolmas) were amazing and the highlight of our evening. The Fattoush salad was decent but the Makdous was not really our thing. We mentioned to the waitress we didn’t like the dish but no one really seemed to care. The Haloumi Panini was mostly bread and a «taste» of Haloumi. We were expecting thicker slices of cheese. The Cauliflower au gratin barely had any sauce and tasted like something I could’ve made at home by steaming it in my pressure cooker. Overall the 20% Unilocal coupon made the place worth it($ 64 before tax for all after discount). Not coming here again. PS: although we didn’t order it the vegetarian entrée options were very limited and didn’t look very appetizing!

This is a terrible business. I had made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. While making the reservation they failed to mention that they were serving a fixed menu for $ 175 per person. I chose not to eat there; putting that aside as bad communication. No harm, no foul. I then found out that they(somehow) charged $ 100 to my credit card. I spent a total of 5 min in the restaurant. Unforgivable behavior and borderline fraud. Can’t speak to the quality of the food, but the fact that the place was empty on Valentine’s Day and smelled like sweat and rotten fish should have been a clue that those in charge did not pay attention to details. I’ll be disputing the charge and consider filing a fraud complaint with the FTC. UPDATE: As you can tell by the tone and manner in which the owner is trolling users making reasonable reviews, this business isn’t very trustworthy. The notice was not clearly posted when I made the reservation and the(ridiculous and unprecedented) cancelation fee of $ 100 was nowhere to be seen. Had it need it’s obviously something that would have been addressed at the time. The issue wasn’t not being able to afford the $ 175 per person, the issue is that is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for what was offered. Especially for this type of restaurant(that isn’t a fancy place with normally high pricing). If you are going to stray that far from your format and pricing, the burden of ensuring customers now this is on the restaurant. Posting a small notice somewhere on Open Table right before the date and not notifying your guests is not the way to go.

Chicken shawerma was extremely authentic, far better than what you’d get at a Lebanese or Mediterranean chain. Also has their pistachio ice cream… Cherry on top!

Great location in the city. The food was amazing! I had the veggie combo plate and it was not lacking in any way. Dolmas and falafel were very tasty. Superb service and a wonderful atmosphere. Safe to say I will be back and recommend Mazza Luna to anyone who wants some authentic Lebonese cuisine.

This is technically a bait-and-switch. I was astonished as soon as we dug into the main dishes(we tried the shawarma, the moloukhia, and one more that I can’t recall) that this place has such a high rating. The food was absolutely horrible. It wasn’t until the chef explained the ownership was transferred a month ago that things made sense. New kitchen staff with a new menu. The moussaka raved about in the reviews here isn’t even on the menu anymore. The other disappointment was when the check arrived. $ 70 per person(with shared appetizers and dessert) means this place is also incorrectly classified here as a $$ establishment. To be fair: the appetizers are not that bad — but are certainly overpriced, and there is no mixed plate option.

Asking the waiter about a deal we had, he said we could order three items each from the cold and hot sections. We asked about his suggestions and he recommended some of his favorites. The deal included two glasses of wine. But he allowed us to substitute wine for Lebanese beer. Cold dishes: — Rahib — Fried eggplant with garlic, parsley and pomegranate sauce — Warek Inab — Grape leaves stuffed with rice and veggies — Lubia Bezait — Green beans with tomatoes, garlic and olive oil Hot dishes — Roasted cheese dates — Ouzi — jasmine rice with lamb and beef — Hummus with beef and pine nuts Nice basket of pita bread to go with your meal. Since meat is very limited in the cuisine, the dishes would make veggie lovers happy. If to choose, I preferred the hot dishes more than the cold ones. The meal came with a baklava to share. It was flaky and topped with crushed pistachios. Overall, the food was good. But without the deal, it would be on the pricey side given the portions. Also, it felt weird in that the hour plus that we were there, we were the only customers. Maybe from the outside, it looked more like a club than a restaurant?

Had a Groupon and checked out some eats yesterday. Was confused(and not delighted) by the clubby décor and music initially, but our platters were incredibly delicious, and pretty high in quality, I thought. Definitely enough to get me to return to try more dishes! I’d recommend any of the following: Cold dishes: — Green beans — Fried eggplant — Grape leaves Hot dishes — Hummus with ground beef — Rice with ground beef — Dumpling-like dish Skip: — Red wine — White wine

Aside from the fact that I couldn’t pronounce half the items on the menu, it was prettyy good! Really. Ignore the 3 star rating. Used a groupon so expected subpar service like at some other places, but this is a classy one. The waiter was very accomodating, answering questions without giving us attitude. Hot plates were better than cold plates. The OUZI(rice w/lamb and beef) and a roasted cauliflower dish which for the life of me I can’t remember the name of were the bomb. Atmosphere was lovely. Mood lighting and music in the background. Comfy chairs. Perfect for date night. Unfortunately for me, my romantic partner for the night was my sister.(Sorry sis) So why the 3 star rating? Something was missing. Aside from the dishes mentioned, everything else was pretty plain. I would go back if I was nearby, but don’t feel that pull. Definitely not losing sleep craving these dishes yaddamean. HOWEVER, baklava dessert at the end was unexpected and divine. Perfectly warm and chewy with pistachio crumbs on top.

2 stars for now… Explanation below. This is the 3rd time I’ve been here. The food is delicious! This time the ambiance was relaxing with classical music, not club-like with low lighting. It was a Wednesday at 645, the place had only 2 other filled tables. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but every time I’ve dined here 3 out of 3 times, on a weekday before 7pm, they do not have Kibbeh!!! It’s usually the first thing I order, and today it was. I had a groupon for a deluxe sampler platter(3 hot and 3 cold mezza) and ordered an extra kibbeh. I was so so happy when our waitress didn’t immediately stop me to say it’s not available. I shouldn’t have jumped the gun because 2 mins later she returned with the bad news… No Kibbeh. So does the restaurant not make it on the weekdays?! How is it that the place is nearly empty yet is always out of kibbeh? You can’t sub Kafte since it’s not on the mezza menu either! There’s limited meat options on it, so we had to reevaluate our options. We decided on roasted dates with goat cheese(sub for kibbeh as part of the sampler) then a side of falafel(since we had originally wanted an extra order of kibbeh). We got our platter with 5 dishes(see pic) and the order of falafel(fluffy and crispy). Unfortunately we never got to try the dates because it was never brought out to us! I noticed it when I got home and was reviewing the photos and the check; I had a groupon; so I paid $ 11 for… Falafel($ 7) plus tax for the sampler dish. I tipped on the total amount(not the groupon price). The food was so good that I was distracted that I didn’t get the roasted dates! But now I’m secretly mad of their never available kibbeh and the fact that they shorted me a dish!!! Down to 1 star since I haven’t received feedback from the manager!
