Outstanding physician. I’ve seen many rheumatologists in different cities and states, several in San Francisco. Only one I’ve been under the care of (in Los Angeles) is her peer in knowledge and clinical skills. Not surprisingly he knows Dr. Carteron.
Dr. Carteron is truly interested in her patients as people and takes as much time with her patients as required. Consequently, one might have to wait a while in her waiting room (well-stocked with interesting magazines and medical books). Dr. Carteron has an excellent referral network of specialist physicians. She also has the nicest, most organized administrative assistant, James, of any doctor I’ve seen in San Francisco.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Carteron. She is caring and thorough,
up to speed on the latest research and treatments, and takes an interest in her patients lives as well as their medical care. I’m lucky to have found her!

Dr Carteron is an outstanding physician. Not only does she use medicines when appropriate, she is concerned about the whole person, and is not adverse to alternative therapies. A the first visit she asks about medical history in great detail — not like most doctors that get you to fill in a form. I only wish more doctors were like her. Because of her personal attention and spending as much time as is required with you, there is sometimes a lengthy wait.
Her office person is extremely helpful and warm. Can’t recommend this doctor any more highly.
