The Noah’s Bagels in the Lakeview Shopping Center on Sloat has the usual good food. But their waitstaff is in serious need of training, Just as I got to the front of the order line, both staff disappeared without a word – doing work in the back I presume. Not even an acknowledgement that my friend and I existed, much less, «I’ll be with you in just a minute.» After nearly 5 minutes, one of the staff finally came back to the register and with a glare that could have melted steel, just stood there looking at me for a few seconds, as if I were supposed to speak first, and said, «What do you want?» I was so dumbfounded by her rudeness I took a few seconds to reply. First, I asked her what the difference between a «classic» lox schmear and a «gourmet» lox schmear is, as it’s listed on the menu on the wall, with the price of the«gourmet» one being higher. Her answer was incomprehensible – something about the gourmet lox schmear actually being a jalapeño pepper cream cheese or something and about them not having any anyway. She kept pointing to the«season special» sign with a picture of three completely different bagel/schmears. What that had to do with the lox schmear or the classic vs gourmet designation, I could not understand, so she set her jaw and repeated her exact, meaningless words several times, clearly indicated that the problem was my extreme denseness. She managed to keep the glare all the while. There’s a sign in the store that says the employees are trained to make one’s visit thoroughly enjoyable – all pleasance and light, customer happy, etc. This young woman who waited, if you can call it that, on us was the rudest staffperson I’ve run into in a while. Rude, rude, rude.

Came here because I had a craving for a lox bagel. Once I stepped into Noah’s Bagel, I was overwhelmed with all the interesting things going on. First of all, I was dumbfounded of their line system & was confused on why they created borders that formed a bottleneck so that after you pay at the cash register, your exit is blocked off so you have to awkwardly turn around & squeeze your way through other people standing in line. Second, while in line, we witnessed one of the employees just bite off her acrylic nail & spit it to the floor as she was handing a customer his blended drink. After we took our order, the employee told us if we take the survey right now, we can get one of the coffee mugs for free. My boyfriend & I decided to complete the survey as we waited for our food. When we finished it, I showed the lady & she grabbed a coffee mug & offered to wash it. She didn’t have to which was nice of her; however, she gave it to me without drying it so it was dripping wet. When we finally ate our bagels, I thought the bread was rubbery. But besides that, the salmon & the other lox ingredients were good. The lunch bagel came with a side of mixed fresh fruit; however, it didn’t taste fresh. Noah’s Bagel needs to improve their customer service & the quality of their food.

Came by this morning to get two blueberry bagels with blueberry shmear. Girl I talked to was nice. I asked for shmear on the side and bagel untoasted. Usually noah’s people smothers shmear everywhere and makes the bagel hard to eat. Received my order 5 minutes later with bagels both toasted. Thought that was okay so I just took it and left. Got home in less than 10 minutes to find both bagels looking nothing like bagel? Very flat and wet and deformed. Added shmear to them thinking they’ll still taste like bagels, right? They were very chewy and had this strange rubber smell in the mouth. This experience made me lose all faith in noah’s bagels. Never again. Also I was looking through their shmear selection and their maple shmear is about 4 days old.

***NOPROPERHANDHYGIENE*** Saw worker went from making bagels, handleling coffee carafes, and preparing bagel sandwiches WITHOUTCHANGINGGLOVES! I asked her if she changed her gloves, she said«no, why would I?» WTF? When you go from one job to another, YOUWASHYOUHANDSANDCHANGEYOURDAMNGLOVES! Service is SUPERSLOW as well. I’ve been her 4 times, walked out twice. Not coming back.

THEWORST. No customer service whatsoever. The ‘employees’ stand around fumbling with themselves while the line is 4 – 5 deep, no one is getting served. I will go to Peet’s down the way instead. If you are the manager, and you are reading this, get another job.

This place will ruin a persons morning sad to say. I’ve been here several times and each time was the same experience. Long wait in line(even if i was the second person in line). Once you get up there don’t expect a smile or good morning, not even a hello. One time, I had my daughter give her order, she’s 6. They rolled their eyes when she couldn’t quite get the order out. I placed my order and they were out of it so I had to find something else to order. Hey, give me some time to think what my substitute is versus huffing and puffing about me taking so long. Maybe if you made enough potato salad I wouldn’t be put in this predicament! I finally finished ordering and paying and i didn’t even get a thank you. They just handed me my receipt without a smile. GOSHIFYOUHATEYOURJOBSOMUCHQUIT! Otherwise you do not have to be an asshole to everyone!(This was a consistent experience I get here) and as I wait, i can feel the other patrons turn into assholes too… It rubs off! To top it all, you are supposed to get a pickle slice with some of the orders. Each and every time they forgot to give me my pickle(Hey i like them kay especially with my Lox)! Each and every time I would end up asking for it and no fail, i would get the same FML attitude from these workers! I guess Noah’s Bagel trains their employees to have shitty attitudes and ruin everyones morning. I walk out of this place feeling shitty every time! This review is to fix the establishment and make a better name for their company!

Strictly here early to beat the rush of NUTS regulars that occupy this place for long periods at a time. Finally got here on a morning in which I could relax and take my time to order. I was extremely hungry and knew I wanted something hefty to hold me till lunch. I ordered my bagel and then waited patiently for my ordered to be prepared. This place is actually relaxing in the morning but around 7 am this place becomes a madhouse. The have some really interesting all ready made drinks in their reach in cooler. The lemonade choices always look really good to me. Didn’t grab one today but will put it on my to do list for next time. The assortment of bagels is nice. I usually like to see what kind of bagels they have. The grain bagels are good with a some cream cheese and TOASTED! After checking out the bagels and menu while waiting I received my order. I then headed on into work. The bagel was just as I had envisioned. Warm and ready to devour. Getting a bagel was the perfect choice for my breakfast and it worked out well. #multigrain

Pumpkin bagels texture was especially squishy and not at all round. Cashier is across store from display and so never gets order right.

1. It’s not ok for someone to cut in front of me to get coffee without kindly asking whether or not it’s ok to do so! 2. People working here don’t seem to follow instruction(not once, not twice, but repeated three times!) 3. Please re-train your staffs here, so they can at least greet the customers or at least say Thank You!

We love Noah’s bagels and generally have a good experience at most locations(Chestnut is our favorite!). This location is hit or miss and it is definitely a miss this morning. It is 8:40 am and they have no bagels to choose from. No Cinnamon Raisin, plain, Asiago, chocolate chip, sesame, nothing to choose from! You would think that they forgot it was Saturday morning and there would be a rush and could have better prepared. The cashier was a peach to top it off, I had to repeat my order 4 times which consisted of 2 bagels and she walked around slowly as if I was asking her a favor in doing her job. The one Asian lady behind the counter that makes all the orders seems to be the only hard working and efficient employee. This place with the«hot bagels» sign is definitely a HOTMESS with NO bagels!

Consistently disappoints. Glacial speed service: today I ordered a plain bagel with plain cream cheese. Had to ask for it twice, got it 20 minutes later. Other customers waiting complained too. The screen showing order wait times was at least 15 min. per order. Manager and staff unconcerned re wait times. Often runs out of bagel flavors. Bagels are airy and bread-like, really not like bagels anyway. House of Bagels is worth the drive, and I could drive to Geary and back in the time it took to get a plain bagel at this Noah’s. If you must go to Noah’s, this is by far the worst one. Avoid.

Don;t go here… I ordered a bagel turkey sandwich to go. went to my car. they forgot the potato salad. so i had to go back in for it… I get home and i open it to see a sloppy nasty cream cheese and sausage bagel… I was so angry, i called them up and they were so rude to me and treated it like it was no big thing… Now im out nearly $ 10, wasted my time driving there and gotta go get my lunch again somewhere else… What a joke… I was watching the employees at work while i was waiting it it looks like a real shit-show behind the counter… I will not be back

I love Noah’s Bagels and have always had a good experience, but this particularly location really missed the mark on my visit today. All the servers seemed pretty high and I get it… But come on! There was so many things they screwed up: 1. The whole place was dirty. There were empty cups on the ground, napkins everywhere. It was gross. 2. Coffee was cold. 3. I had to wait at least 5 minutes when I was at the front of the line to place my order. I couldn’t tell what the heck was going on. They were completely disorganized. 4. Once my order was placed, they FORGOT my order. 5. When I asked them about my order after waiting for 20 minutes, the counter person said they were now out of what I had originally ordered. 6. When my order finally came, it was wrong and inedible. The bagel was soggy and the cream cheese was all over the place. 7. They didn’t put napkins in the to-go bag. You guys can do better!

It’s a fast food bagel shop. Don’t expect high end. It’s always been fine for me. Place my order. Get my food. Yeah, it gets busy. Deal with it. There is a reason it’s busy. The food is good.

I’ve been to this particular Noah’s Bagels location three times. Two out of three times I got a decent bagel as ordered(hence the two stars rather than one). However, the third time the lady only cut a very thin slide of the top of the bagel(her attempt to create«halves» I suppose), burnt the bagel, then put the tiniest amount of hummus. It was a very sad looking bagel. I just wish I had opened it before driving back to work. See my photos for further information.

Love Noahs Bagels! I have yet to find another bagel spot better than Noahs. I grew up going to this Noahs location and its still a favorite until now. I love their egg bagel and blueberry bagel! Always fresh, best smears and overall yummy bagels all around! This week considering its St. Pattys weekend, they had green bagels! If I lived closer, I would definitely come by this place more often! This place used to be more convenient since I went to state but if im ever in the area, I always make it a point to stop by Noahs :)

Alright, so I’ve been coming to this Noah’s for the longest time since I live around the neighborhood — I order the same egg sandwiches all over and over again only because it’s that delicious. I realize that every time I drive here and come out with my order, I feel unbelievably frustrated. The staff, except for the person who makes the orders in the back, is completely rude. I mean, if you’re going to work anyways, why not with a better attitude? I wake up and come around 8 and I swear, a lot of my mornings were completely ruined because of the unfriendly service. I would love to give this place a 5 star, but seriously, the attitude just has to go.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a bagel so of course when the craving hits, I have to go big. Like lox. Anyhow, it’s your typical bagel store and they are great for getting people in and out. I think that might just have to do with the correct timing though.

Such a disappointing experience. I ordered a lox and shmear bagel. The cashier, who yawned away while taking my order, asked me what kind of bagel I wanted. I asked for an everything bagel but he said they were out so I said plain was fine. Keep in mind, it was only noon and they were going to be open until 5pm so I don’t know if they stopped making bagels or if they just fail at making more bagels for orders until they close. As I waited for my order, it turned out they did have an everything bagel available and the cashier asked me if I still wanted it to which I replied yes. After quite a wait and seeing the handful of people who ordered after me get their food, my order was made on a plain bagel, not an everything bagel that the cashier said they didn’t but did have. On top of that, this location feels so stuffy inside and smells like burnt bagels and bread. One star for the tasty lox and potato salad that I had.
