The sandwiches are super tasty. They have quick service which is a must during work. It is a little more pricey than sandwich shops in the area but definitely worth it.

They’ve revamped their morning pastries and they’re delightful! Such a cute display and a nice selection. Their gluten-free mixed berry muffin is my favorite. I don’t NEED to eat gluten free but that muffin is delish! When I feel like treating myself, I’ll go with the muffin. I haven’t had all of their pastries, but the scone is pretty good. Not really a fan of their sandwiches or salads as I think they’re overrated and overpriced.

The Really Good: Healthy bites for busy professionals that don’t have time to stray far from the office(or don’t have the desire to deal with Levi’s or Starbucks). GF options for those of us that are stuck with that lifestyle, and oh so convenient for afternoon fro-yo cravings. The ‘Not So Good’ — with success(and made to order food) comes a line you may have to wait in. Get there before or after the lunch rush and you won’t be grumbling about the line.

Comically RIGHT next door to Starbucks you’ll find a quaint little local joint with amazing coffee, the only exceptional chai within miles, and innovative breakfast, sandwiches, ice cream bar and more. Amazing customer service AND fresh made to order juices. One more thing… THEYHAVEALMONDMILK. Take that, Starbucks

Top quality ingredients, super nice staff. Straus milk, Sightglass coffee. A new pastry chef is making some off the hook delicious and stunningly beautiful pastries. The basil bacon breakfast sandwich is highly recommended. A year ago they had some consistency issues, now ironed out. I can’t speak to the smoothies or frozen yogurt as I never get those. The staff remembers your name and treats you well.

Normally, I would give this place a lot higher marks… the smoothies are tasty, breakfast sandwiches are on point and the customer service is pretty awesome, but I ordered a pork carnitas sandwich for pick-up the other day and it was AWFUL. Pick-up time was set for 2:30pm so arrived at 2:25pm to pick it up. It was super cold and I would assume it had been sitting there for at least 15 – 20 minutes as there was no heat to it at all. I can deal with cold food, but when I took my first bite, I got nothing but fat. Yes, I know what carnitas are and supposed to be, but every square of «meat» had globs of gelatinous fat. I would say I was generous in saying that 80% of the meat was chewy fat. Needless to say, I ate what little«carnitas» I could and half the bun… definitely not worth my $ 10. Parlor 1255 will continue to get my service, but I’ll never be ordering the Pork Carnitas sandwich again.

The seasonal salads are so yummy. The combination of ingredients are unexpected. Today’s mix green salad — salad greens, farmers market plums, nectarines, olives, manchego cheese, corn, toasted sunflower seeds & balsamic dressing.

I always try and give them a chance with smoothies because I’ve gotten a few good ones in the two years that I’ve worked near by, but all of the other times(including this morning) are extremely disappointing. Way too much money for the crappy smoothies they make. I saw her make it. Almost all ice, 4 little pieces of pineapple, and maybe half a handful of kale. Such a rip off. Also doesn’t help that it took her forever to start making it while others were standing around doing nothing.

The best veggie sandwich ever. Of all time. Period. There must be bad stuff in it because veggie can’t possibly taste this good! Give me more!!! Parlor 1255 keeps it seasonal, so the veggie sando changes periodically, but it always rocks. If you don’t like to wait a while for your food, you’d be wise not to visit during prime time.

I’m really thankful that this little gem is near my work. that being said, plan ahead. Your food and smoothies will come out VERY slow and your wallet will leave a little sad. But, your tummy will be SO very happy! I wish I could have their Coit’s Carrot smoothie every day, and maybe a Lemon Buttermilk Dynamo Donut while I’m at it. Tip: you can order online and get in and out wayyy quicker.

After three visits, I feel that I have given Parlor 1255 a fair shake, but all they can provide is aggravation and disappointment. I don’t know about you, but I do not find waiting 25 minutes for a sandwich in any way charming. I understand the place is busy, but they should understand that as well and adjust their staffing and processes accordingly. Then there is the food. I am writing this as I eat their abortion of a Vietnamese sandwich called the«Saigon chicken.» The chicken is some kind of flavorless steamed slop that could totally be straight up Bumble Bee from the can whipped up with some mayo. They could have heaped on a bunch of cilantro and diakon to disguise the«boiled in boring» chicken, but no. Not much in the way of veg, either. I sincerely wish this was a genuine $ 3 Banh Mi so I could throw it away, but it cost $ 9 so I’m gonna have to keep shoving it in my stupid sad face. Oh, and in case you are looking for a review on the salads, my friend got one of the $ 12 piles of wilted greens with a sprinkling of veg. Seriously, it’s a $ 12 friggin’ salad, at least hook it up with a nice pile of lettuce or something. I’m pretty sure she had to eat the box to get through the afternoon. If you work in Levi’s Plaza, just go to the(new and improved) Levi’s Café. While the food is kinda boring, at least it is fast and cheap. But if you want to wait a half hour for expensive, disappointing food, Parlor 1255 should be right up your alley. *The extra star is for the staff. Friendly folks. Also, the froyo is fine.

Eggy Blat Sandwich $ 11(5⁄5 NOMs) Time to jam jam with mouth watering jalapeño jam sandwich from a unique sandwich shop while on our adventures in Levi Plaza, San Francisco. We stopped by what looks like a very fun place with sandwiches, salads and smoothies. Fried egg on anything always has our attention, its one of those things Like bacon, you have to order. This time however it wasn’t the magical egg, but the Jalapeño Jam that made our hungry senses tingle. First bite in and the explosion of flavors just rush into your mouth. So many different flavors and textures it was a party in my mouth. The jalapeño jam wasn’t spicy at all and had a nice sweet flavor with a little kick to it. Went great with soft fried egg, avocado and thick layer of house made bacon. Served on an excellent crunchy o the outside and soft on the inside bread. Plus this place is all about healthy fresh produced made locally, so you won’t feel as guilty. Its probably good for you! Wish we had more space in our tummies to try other sandwiches. This made for an awesome first nomnom for our first day of adventures in San Francisco.

Unless you have access to the Levis cafeteria, lunch options around Levis Plaza are pretty sparse. It’s a pity because Parlor 1255 would have been a stellar lunch spot if only they weren’t so darn inconsistent. Perhaps the lunch crowd is too large for the tiny kitchen but the lines can be long which in turn mess up your order. I remember the much-hyped pork belly sandwich with chicharrones from 4505 when they first opened and that was my first experience here. Added a side salad for an extra $ 3 and was a little miffed when I opened the box at my desk to see a skimpy garnish-sized portion of greens. On the flip side the sandwich was tasty though. Vowing to never add a side salad here again, I soon learned on repeat visits that my first experience was indeed a screw up in which I never got my salad. The hectic lunch rush results in errors like that and when you factor in the prices for take-out plus the long waits, Parlor 1255 fails to live up to its promise. It’s a pity because there is some tasty food to be had here like the meaty warm 1255 Italian sandwich with prosciutto, coppa, and mortadella or the healthful yet satisfying kale salad with quinoa. Then again, with lunch options so slim, I guess let’s just get back in line.

Hipster SF defined: Wood walls. Artisanal coffee and gluten free baked goods. Pork belly sandwiches. $ 12 kale salads.($ 3 more for grilled chicken!) 20 minute waits without warning. Friendly counter service folks who respond with a smile and, «but it’s good!» when the downside of any of the above points are brought to light. So, that.

Friendly staff and incredibly fresh/tasty food. Perfect for all dietary needs. Lunch time is busy and you could wait 20min for your salad but it’s well worth it. My office is obsessed with this place– oh and the donuts and coffee are amazing too.

I use to frequent the Starbucks next door pretty much every day for a year. I started going to Parlor 1255 because I prefer almond milk and they have better quality coffee. The thing that brought me here to write a review is how badly and frequently my order is messed up. I order the same coffee and breakfast every morning. I’ve done it about a dozen times now and haven’t changed my order once. They’ve actually only gotten it right one time… that’s once out of twelve orders. That’s why I’m giving them one star. I mean… come on. When I bring it up to them, they tell me that I should just bring it back and they’ll remake it. So that means that 11 times I’ve ordered something, waited for it, then take it up to my office, unwrap it, bite into it to find out they messed it up again, I would have to wrap it up, take it back to their shop, stand in line, explain to them how they screwed it up, order a replacement, wait for them to remake it, and hope that this time… they would get it right. The coffee is pretty good, but nothing is so good I’m willing to put that much effort into being a customer. The irony is because I was in the business before, I always tip well… I do it by default because I try to be understanding that sometimes things happen. Of course you could ask, why go back so many times… well… I always kept telling myself they will get to know me and start getting it right consistently. It never happened. I’ll be going back to Starbucks from now on… the line is longer, the quality isn’t as good, but at least they get my order right.

Don’t mess with me when I’m HANGRY!!! Was so excited for something tasty on such a gorgeous day in the city! Waited 40 minutes in that hot-ass tiny space for their $ 12.50 Roasted Chicken Salad. 20 minutes in, they realized they’re still cooking the chicken. Why didn’t they tell me before I wasted my entire lunch break waiting for them? They didn’t know. The place is the size of a closet. Seriously. Finally received my expensive salad. It was a box of romaine lettuce with a sad scoop of goat cheese(pic is posted). Dear Parlor… you is BLACKLISTED!!! I wonder what’s in the vending machine… :(

Parlor, as far as appearances, has a lot of potential. And with the crowds it draws, Parlor seemed to be a solid choice to fill a sandwich craving. I haven’t tried anything but their recommended Saigon Chicken Sandwich. But based on that, I will not be coming back for any sandwiches. The Saigon Chicken was essentially a chicken banh mi for $ 9. Cold and dry chicken on pickled carrots and daikon. With that said, I have been back for just smoothies. I’ve tried the Berry Chia and the Marina Green. They were good and as advertised but not worth the $ 6. Maybe I’m not ordering the right things, but sadly, I haven’t had good experiences time after time. Expensive and flat food and drink are on the bottom of my list even if the area does not have a lot of good food options. I hear they have good salads, one day perhaps?

The SBUX was closed for renovation(frown…i like this SBUX). I ventured here for some coffee and a spice chocolate dynamo donut. Plenty of attractive females in line, so I did not mind the wait. Good transaction. Off I go…4 stars.

Love their smoothies. Fun place for a quick bite. Their staff is sweet and doesn’t mind if you make substitutions. I love their all whole-fruit and veggie smoothie the marina green. It’s sweet, tangy, tart and creamy all at once. Aside from their great yogurts they also serve the Straus Family creamery soft serve vanilla and offer olive oil and sea salt as a topper. It’s SO delicious.
