This is my kind of a place that reminds me of the country I was born and raised-Poland. The store looks like from the 70’s, 80’s communist era in Poland in a very positive meaning. There are no more stores like this in Poland anymore… This is a piece of a Polish history just how it used to be when I was a child, and it is in a country that became my new home:) Every time I’m visiting San Francisco, this is an absolute must and a pleasure to stop by and buy some Polish delicacies. They offer home made pastries and cakes. Sausages– kielbasa, kabanosy, salceson– headcheese. Polish yellow cheese. Bunches of pickled goods in a jars, juices, candy, and newspapers and magazines straight from Poland. Polish satellite tv is always on. They always have hot Bigos/Hunters Stew. The taste and quality of smoked meats is just like I remember it. Very authentic and made with love. Prices are excellent. The crew is very cordial and helpful, especially the older owner gentleman and his bi lingual granddaughter. I’m looking forward to my next visit to enjoy the smell and taste of my childhood:)

Tried the bigos after i read others reviews. SO good and the guy behind the counter was nice. Wasnt super hungry so he served me a smaller portion than in the menu. Came with a crispy grilled sausage and a slice of bread with stone ground mustard. Sausages and sauerkraut were homemade. Also had to try a homemade pickle.

I seriously love this little hidden gem! My BF is Polish and this is our go to for specialty meats and cheeses. Also, they have a nice selection of fresh baked polish deserts. The poppy seed cake is too die for! I like that it’s a normal old world kind of deli. No frills. If you are looking for authentic foods to cook at home this is the place.

I love this place! I come for one of their sandwiches and bring a ton of food home — kabanosy, homemade horseradish, pierogis, cabbage rolls, sauerkraut, rye bread, and the plum chocolates my grandma used to send me for Christmas. With all of my Polish family being in Canada, it’s a taste of home and comfort. Everything is reasonably priced. The lunch sandwiches are $ 5, huge and delicious. The people who work there top the experience off — so personable, friendly and sincere. It takes me about an hour to get there from Oakland and it’s well worth the drive!

i just moved to the bay area about 18 days ago and after attending the polish church on Sunday Sep202015 the nice lady down below the church told me about this store and gave me their business card. So i went there after I was finish talking to the priest. I found the place pretty easy but it is way out to the west side of the town. Even very far from the Polish church, i would think they would stick closer together but I guess that’s SF housing craze. So anyways i was very surprised to see the same lady sitting in the store at the table by the window with 3 chairs, next to her was an older man and another woman her age 60+. I said hello in polish(being that i am from Poland and new here) i tried a little small talk because as a friend i thought it would be nice if she offered me a ride to the place since she was going there but what can you expect from some people, nothing. So anyways the reason why I am saying this is that she gave me a very rude and unbelievable answer to me when i just briefly asked her and told her that i am new here and i am from Zakopane and that I am happy to find the PL store here i asked her how long have she been here in USA which she replied«a dla pana to co do tego» i was shocked, i mean she even did it in a mean and very negative tone. Like i was asking her something very too personal, i mean even the two friends of her sitting by her side were kind of taken back and change the subject by asking me where i came from and what i am planning to be doing here and such. They were eating polish cheese and even ham but did not offer to share with me which was kind of strange to be because i would love to keep a nice polish community strong together but i was treated like a new arrival poor man who knows no English or don’t know anything about america. I did say that i just few to SFO two weeks ago but they just assumed from Poland and being that i spoke only Polish the whole time they assumed i don’t know any English maybe. Long behold I am a US Military veteran with 5 years of active duty service being deployed 3 times to the war. Originally being from NYC area and being a duel citizen of USA and PL, and living here in USA for about 20 years. SO anyways i don’t understand why they treated me so poorly there, the girl at the front table with all her gold jewelry and best Sunday dress on just for show, don’t she know that the true beauty is of ones heart not their appearance and earthly possessions. On the good side why I decided to give two stars is that the store worker and i assume the owner one older man and younger guy were super nice to me and even helped me with a paper to write an ad about that i am looking for a room to rent in bay area and post it there on their message board. Then he gave me some free ham to taste witch was a super big peace witch almost filled me up, I feet so blessed and because of that i know i will come back there to buy some products from them after seeing on Unilocal that they have ready to eat food like in a restaurant and even they have 4 locations from their web site. I wish the man would introduce the store more to me but he did not get to that subject. Anyways i walk around the store and looked around and took many pics, I asked about prices because for some unknown reason to me they decide not to price any of their items maybe 10% do have a price but most all don’t. So i feel so stupid always asking«a ile to kosztuje, a to, i to, a w jakiej cenie to jest tutaj» i tak dalej so plz if the owner of this place will read this, plz put prices on all items, and don’t allow rude people be rude to ur future/new costumers. do they accept credit cards there and or EBT card?

Absolutely fantastic! My wife is from Poland and we moved here from Europe in 2014. We have tried most of the European markets in the North and East Bay Area. We keep coming back to Seakor for their amazing sausages and bread. We will also pick up some Pasztet(pâté) and some candies and maybe some mustard. But their crown jewel is their Kabanosy sausages. These are like a long, skinny meat stick that is smoked and ready to eat cold. I have tried these all over Europe and from every Polish shop in the Bay Area and even my wife says that Seakor has the best she have ever tasted. She tells her family in Poland about how good they are, but they don’t believe it. But I can promise you that they are addicting and delicious. Some of the cheaper ones at other shops and even in Europe have bone pieces in them that caused me to break a tooth once. I swore them off until I found these. These ones are soft and smooth with no bone or cartilage chunks. My wife would kill for the bread that they sell. I think it is made elsewhere, but it is true European bread and not like the unhealthy American junk. To attest to the authenticity of this place, the owner speaks very little English(only Polish) and they have Polish TV playing in the background. His nephew speaks English if he is there, but all you have to do is point to what you want and the owner will gladly get it for you. The prices are a little on the steep side, but where else are you going to get the best, real polish sausages on the West coast? Nowhere. Maybe in Chicago, but I think even they would be hard pressed to make a better sausage. We lived in England for 5 years and they have a very large Polish population there with a polish shop in every village. I promise you that you cannot get sausages this good even there. I wish they were cheaper, but SF is expensive and kudos to the immigrants for capturing their piece of the American dream.

My friend was going to San Francisco and stopped by this store to pick up a few things for me since we don’t have a Polish store here in Fresno. My two favorites were the Kabanosy and Makowiec. The makowiec is one of the best I had and my kids and I both love the kabanosy. I’m definitely stopping by here next time I’m in San Francisco!

I saw the reviews and thought I would take a peek. Great place and lots of sausages and Headcheese’s amongst other Polish delights. We chose the bbq’d ribs, garlic sausage and some cheese cake. I just opened the garlic sausage, and DAMN is it good, er GREAT!!! I will definitely make this a new place to go to, and the prices were extremely good.

Wow! I mean WOW! Glad to have found them on Unilocal. We had to pick up smoked sausage for kale. The butcher recommended the smoked pork shoulder for the kale, but I didn’t have the energy to override my husband, who insisted on the smoked sausage. Besides he’s been replacing me in the kitchen lately. This place is outstanding, and the guy behind the counter is very helpful and made great suggestions. He kindly translated a gravy packet for me. I appreciate it when butchers know what the heck they are selling. All signs point to his foodie knowledge. A quadruple plus! Next time .I’m gonna get that smoked pork shoulder for my kale and that chunk of bacon I was eyeing. I haven’t found bacon worthy enough to sear around a filet mignon or roast with some maple syrup in a long time! Or, candy with maple syrup over pancakes. I can’t wait. We also picked up a pack of smoked trout, veal sausage, Liverwurst and some other yummies. All ready to eat goodies. I’ve been banned from the stove lately. They also have great farmers bread. We went in the evening, so I’d love to see what bread they have in the morning. This market’s terrific! It’s also reasonably priced. Super WOW !

Been coming here for over 20 years. Best kept secret in SFO! Excellent value on cheese, sausage & fish. Poppyseed cake is a must have also. Homemade items with old world flavor. Service with a smile! Note: I almost never give 5 stars but this is THE exception!

My wife wanted to get my mother in law authentic polish sausage for easter. She suffers from ALS and last year we imported sausage from her hometown of St. Joseph, Missouri. That import was a disappointment. After a search my wife found Seakor on Unilocal. The sausage was a hit! She said it was just as good as the sausage of her child hood. She was thrilled! My mother in law being a former catholic school teacher the fact that Seakor catered St. John Paul 2nd made it even better. We will definite be a repeat customer.

So I come into this Deli(first time ever) pretty excited. I’m looking for this type of cheese for a friend. Having attended George Washington High School, I walked/drove past this deli hundreds of times. Being the only asian in the Deli, I really feel the guy behind the counter was racist and didn’t serve me, how he was serving the other regular customers. I asked for cheese vacuumed packed and he said OK. As soon as I pay for the cheese he gives it to me(poorly) wrapped in paper. I remind the man that I want it vacuum sealed. He then grunts and angrily vacuum seals … How rude. So It’s lunch time too, so I request a pastrami sandwich. The guy says«No, I’m kind of busy.» Ummmmm really??? I’m the last one in line. Even a female customer at the register said«oh that’s mean, I’m sorry.» I really despise businesses that are prejudice towards other people. Just because I’m not polish you treat me like a homeless person. This deli really left a sour taste in my mouth. Very surprised when this is one of the few family run business’ still around, after the gentrification of San Francisco. I will never come back here again, because of the RUDE shameful service. #lame #gross

Awesome shop with a friendly man behind the counter. I walked in and he asked if I wanted a sandwich, and he took it from there and made suggestions and hooked it up with a great sandwich. There’s one table to sit at, but it’s definitely more a grab-and-go type place. There is a $ 10 card minimum, and since their sandwiches are super cheap(seriously, we’re talking $ 5 – 6 for a big sandwich), I ended up buying a bunch of candy too-which did not disappoint.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called ahead on Friday 1÷30÷15 to place a large order since I do live out of town. I came in on 1÷31÷15 to pick up the order. First of all I ordered 6 garlic sausages and u was give. 6 plain kielbasas. Second, I ordered 3 dozen kabanose and all of them grew mold in them two days later. All In all I spent almost $ 300 there and really only have one thing that they got right, the blood sausage(I ordered 6 as well). I will NEVER go back! I would ask for a credit but being Polish, and knowing this family personally, I feel like I would come out empty handed. Such a shame, I was boasting about this place for years… After a $ 300 loss I have to now look for a new place.

If you ask the portly, greying patriarch of Seakor’s what sausage he likes the most, he’ll respond«Love them all, all are the best!». From the mouth of lesser men, this would be an idle boast, mere hyperbole; from the meat magi at Seakor’s, its a simple statement of fact. I know, its tough to believe that a place on the Western side of town without any hype, without a Food Channel pedigree, and without any lines could be making the best sausage in town(or really, anywhere I’ve ever been), but they are. Order up a link of their smokey garlic sausage, have a bite of their tart, explosive summer sausage, take a link of their spicy Hunter’s camping, bring their lean, mild veal to the beach, get a pound of their dark, brooding wesselna for a night where you may be binge drinking, bribe your favorite professor with a massive link of Polish. These are situational meats, you’ll know what I mean if you try one. Not into sausage? First, get away from me, you freak. Then, try some of Seakor’s Bigos, a Polish hunters stew with three types of smoked meat(ham, ribs, and bacon), juniper berries, cabbage, and plums with a hint of black pepper. Its outstanding cold(and one of my preferred pre-powerlifting meals), but even better warm. These guys can cook, and they’re doing some of the best, and least expensive food in the Richmond District. Five Stars: Seakor’s catered for Pope John Paul II back in the 80’s, for good reason. Their meats are divine. Extras: Near the 38, 38L and 29. Polish groceries, fresh-made sauerkraut and dill pickles, and cheeses available for purchase. Credit cards accepted over $ 10.

The 5 bucks Combo Sandwich is 5.50 now. But, the menu sign on the wall still says 5, but still my BEST and The Most Affordable Sandwich in SF. I think it has been 5 for a long time. $ 5.50 include tax ! Dollar for dollar, you cannot buy a better sandwich. Dollar for dollar, this sandwich has great home-made ham and cheese than any other sandwich! And, the cheese cake, It’s heavy, dense and square, 3“x5″ and 1″ and a half thick,(1″ and ¾″ include the crest), for $ 4.50. Love it! The old man was still there! It was great seeing him.

SeaKor offers gourmet canned foods from eastern europe, germany, etc. the other half of the store is the deli counter/deli case, menu hard to figure out-just listings of what’s available eats: combo on rye(5) –lots of meats, slightly salty, no veggies, mustard, mayo, sauce, just plain –very fulfilling –a bargain compared with the $ 10 fancy sammies out there. crumbs: –smiling, quick service –no one in line at 12.

I really love the diversity San Francisco has to offer. We were aimlessly walking around in Richmond when we decided to get something to eat. This place fatefully popped up on our Unilocal so we decided to go check it out… Lots of Polish confections, drinks, etc gave this place an authentic Polish vibe. Now, the closest I’ve identified to Polish food is the Kiełbasa Polska I get at Safeway. This place blows it out of the water! We got the sausage and the cabbage, as recommended by the guy behind the counter. It came with some bread and«Super Extra Spicy Mustard» which wasn’t *that* spicy haha. He is a really nice guy and explained all the different meats he had available. Somewhere along the explanation I heard«nitrate free process». I’m not sure how that works but should be a plus. I was tempted to buy the meat wrapped in the gelatinous substance but wouldn’t be home for a while. Oh well, next time. Only thing I would mention is that this place isn’t really a sit down place to eat. We packed 5 people around the only table in the shop.
