Great coffee here. They treat you right. They had cream and sugar compared to the other location where I had a terrible experience. Nice customer service. Good vibes.

It’s the people behind the counter that make or break the experience. Today, Wednesday the 8th I had a horrible experience. The lady behind the counter, took way too long, to serve me my coffee and pastries. She was more attentive to the customer before me. She told her barista how to «correctly«make every drink. The barista has been there a long time. I know this because I see him there frequently. Long story short. Marking this place off. Bye bye.

Good service, nice clean restroom. Only one restroom, should have at least two, many times long lines for restroom.

Open until 9, plenty seats and friendly staff, free wifi and outlets. I mean what else I could complain about. May discard Starbucks sometimes but I still trusted in most cases.

This is a review for my visit on April 3, 2016 at 7PM. Despite some other kind workers that took my order and payment, the manager of the store was not accommodating and uncourteous: — around 8:15PM, he went around the store to sweep and mop, interrupting every customer by making them stand and vacate their tables. — although the store was open until 9PM, the manager closed the restroom and would not let customers use it after 8:45PM. A paying Starbucks client, I’m disappointed that a consistent and high level of service are not delivered at this location. I’m especially disappointed by the manager of this location, who will not accommodate customers personal needs and interrupts the time they try to enjoy at Starbucks.

Staff is very unfriendly. I had my own Starbucks mix because the coffee is too strong at night so I like it watered down but she wouldn’t let me get hot water even after showing her the Starbuck instant mix, unless I was paying for something else. But she did let the person in front of me get cold water. She said it’s because too many«incidents» with the hot water which did not make any sense and seemed arbitrary and rude since I was about to order a sandwich. Luckily the guy behind me said I’ll order something and get hot water for you. But the whole thing seemed unnecessary.

Super large. Super busy Starbucks for the FiDi. Possibly because you get the hotel crowd coming here? Maybe because this is on a path from BART to the Embarcadero Centers … either way, I love Starbucks, but I would pass on this location. Drumm St just epitomizes the juxtaposition of class here in SF. You have hoards of homeless people asking for change while multi millionaires from tech, consulting, and finance all skeet on by. Even with that being said, this Starbucks get’s a bump from 2 – 3 stars because of their great prompt service. They are used to the volume, so they get you in and out with your order with the swiftness. The staff here has to be on their game and they usually are(come on everybody we all make mistakes sometimes). Check it out if you’re in the area … although I’ll be honest there is a nearby Philz(where the old Noah’s used to be) if you have time to sit around for your coffee to drip haha.

We ordered an iced green tea latte and our barista didn’t bother to shake it. He handed us our cup that was pale white milk with chunks of green tea powder stuck to the edges. We had to ask him to take it back and do it again. No apologies, just pure indifference.

What can I say? It’s a Starbucks in downtown San Francisco. Super busy, hustle and bustle atmosphere all around you but the baristas and cashiers work quickly. I tried the new«s’mores tart» not so good… I’m a big s’mores fan and this tastes nothing like a s’more. Breakfast sandwiches are served really hot, which is nice. SUPERCOOL charging power mats at most of the tables to charge phones! This is so neat!

I have been coming to this starbucks for over 6 months and recently the baristas have been extremely rude and have no sense of customer service. I will be going out of my way to find somewhere else to get coffee and frankly am thinking about discontinue all my purchases at Starbucks and switch to Petes.

Not a bad place to get your work done if you’re chillin by the Embarcadero. Only a block or two from the ferry building. Coffee was good.

The Starbucks across from the Hyatt Regency San Francisco(the one at 5 Embarcadero Center) is at a great location. The store itself is large and spacious. The drinks we got on different days were yummy and made correctly, except for one time – which is nice! The front door is not easy to maneuver if you are disabled. Luckily there were nice people around, most of the time, who would hold the door for me. It’s the customer service that was horrible. When I asked questions, I got very short monotone answers. When one of the coffee drinks was made incorrectly, they corrected it but there was no apology, no helpful reply, nothing was said at all. When you place your order, the cashier would clearly rather be doing anything else but helping customers. The baristas were even less enthusiastic, if that’s possible. Not a single employee smiled, or said thank you, or said much of anything. These people need some training. The drinks and the store get 4 stars, but the customer service gets 0!

This is a good sized Starbucks, there is a lot of room for people to sit. The baristas were friendly. There is a code you need to get from the barista and you must purchase something before being able to use the restroom. They have a good selection of mugs and tumblers and other items just like in other Starbucks. They also have a couple of different mugs with a SF design that you can only get in San Francisco.

Was in the area on a late Saturday morning and in need some coffee, we stopped by this Starbucks on Drumm St. This is a good-sized store, spacious with many tables for you to enjoy your coffee and food. Loved the huge wall art of the world that highlights the coffee regions of the world where coffee beans are sourced. Approaching the counter, there was only one person in line. The wait was minimal, order was placed and was quickly filled. Being in the FiDi and across from the Hyatt, I could see this Starbucks being busy during the weekdays. But on a Saturday, this was a nice stop for some coffee.

One of the better Starbucks around! I was in downtown San Francisco in the financial district for several meetings and went to this Starbucks. The place is a bit larger than most Starbucks that I’ve been in. Lots of tables, lot of open space, quick service, and clean. The lines moved rather quickly and the basitas worked really hard! Cheers to the employees at this Starbucks! Great job!

This Starbucks is located on Drumm near the Embarcadero BART station and the Hyatt hotel. During rush hour this place is filled with Financial District folks and tourists, and the occasional crazy person that cuts the line straight to the bathroom. Maybe that’s why you have to ask for the code in case you decide to use it. Plenty of seating, and nice wall décor highlighting all the Starbucks coffee bean origins.

I like that they don’t call me out for my fake name when they write my name on my cup. What, I don’t look like a Joe? I know its an unexciting alias but if I swap now, I’ll probably forget while I’m standing there waiting for my drink. Then it will be like, Juan. JUAN! GRANDESKINNYVANILLALATTEFORJUAN… to which I would go, «oh yeah, that’s me…“and then sheepishly shuffle over to the counter. Anyhow, I will sometimes grab my morning coffee here and I like that the space is pretty big(largest Starbucks in the area I think) so I’m not feeling as crowded even though there’s always a line before work. I see complaints about speed of the line in other reviews but they must have the A team for morning shifts because the line moves quick enough for me and I’ve never had to wait an inordinate amount of time for my drink. As for the actual coffee, its typical Starbucks, generally alright with cream and sugar. If you like your coffee black then the coffee can taste be a bit burnt but maybe that’s a Starbucks thing with how they roast their beans.

Early Saturday evening, staying at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero, and we wanted some good coffee. I knew there was a Coffee Bean right in Embarcadero 4, but geez, it closes at 4pm on Saturday! Fortunately, right directly across from the Hyatt on Drumm is this Starbucks, and it’s open till 10pm — perfect! Good-sized interior with ample seating — could see myself staying here for a good long break if the time was right. Being too late for caffeine, my wife wanted their Caramel Apple Spice drink, but it wasn’t on the wall menu. No problem they told me, they serve it all year, they just ran out of menu space! They made it and it was perfect — yum. Like a liquid Cinnabun. Good place to keep in mind if you are at the Embarcadero area; it may be open when other nearby coffee places are not.
