Delicious! As a party of seven, we got to try a great variety of the dishes here. The portions are pretty large, so coming in a big group is the only way to try a lot on the menu. Pretty much the whole menu is under $ 10(excluding the seafood specialties), and the portions are huge. I saw the table next to us ordered some kind of saucy entrée over rice, and I could swear that could feed a person for a good 5 meals. — – FOOD — – We started with a complimentary shredded lettuce and peanut chicken salad that I believe is served upon request. They gave us a generous portion enough for all of us, with a lightly sweet and savory dressing. Really refreshing and well executed for a simple salad. We ordered mostly based off the server’s recommendations, which included their renowned seafood specialties: 石九公 fish two ways(live fish made into a soup and a stir fry) and boiled 珊瑚虾(the texture of this shrimp meat is better than lobster). We also had 清蒸牛栏汤(super tender beef in a light soup reminiscent of phở broth), 金沙南瓜(fried salted egg yolk battered pumpkin), honey chicken wings(these are AMAZING) mixed mushroom stir fry, stir fried pea sprouts, and probably more that I can’t remember. Everything was really good, but I’d say the beef and the wings are must orders. Best wings EVER and I can’t believe I’m recommending wings at a Chinese restaurant. Trust me, the skin is so crispy and sweet and the inside so juicy and perfectly tender. — – INTERIOR — – The place got quite busy at lunch time and the dining space is cramped in the side room. Three tables for large parties and the chairs are arranged so that you’re pretty much back to back with the person at the next table. — – SERVICE — – I usually expect subpar service at Chinese restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised by our courteous waiters. Our server came by to help switch our dirty plates halfway through the meal, and helped us clear our finished dishes each time a new dish was brought.

POS place… Anyone that come here will be playing the waiting game when trying to get service. the«manager» was hella rude when we asked her to get a cup of water. telling us to hold on blah blah and I over heard her taking shit about us in Chinese. Was so tempted to just get up and walk out but the order was already placed. the food tasted hella salty even for a Chinese place, and I had to get them to refill the water after every plate. Stray away from this place unless you like the shit food and service.

Cheap, tasty food. Tables felt kinda sticky. Service was quick enough. Big variety on the menu. Water tasted weird.

They had to increase their menu price, because they aren’t as busy as a few years ago. Used to go there regularly but not anymore. Food is average and nothing spectacular. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

I’ve been coming here for years and this is always the spot for hubs’ grandparents birthday dinners. The place is a bit cramped and the bathrooms are rather gross but the food is good. The set menu includes the cold platter, chicken, veggie dishes, soup and noodles. I love their noodles which are dry(meaning no sauce, not dehydrated) but pack flavor. Either that or I just love noodles. I would say both. Parking around the neighborhood is rather challenging but keep circling. Something will open up.

Came here on a Sunday and had the King Crab for dinner which was cooked really good! As you know the king crab is big and pricey but they cook it in a lot of different ways which is pretty cool. Like they steam the legs over clear noodles with a garlic sauce, they deep fried another portion of the legs with pumpkin in a salted egg yolk batter, they also use the head to do this steamed egg thing which was really good. But my favorite was the one in the salted egg yolk because it was crispy and really flavorful. We also had the melon soup which is a broth cooked in a melon, chicken salad, deep fried pigeons, chicken sticky rice thing which were all really good too. They do get pack really fast for dinner on the weekends so it’s a good idea to make a reservation since the place isn’t that big either. The customer service is okay but unless you know the workers and all and speak Chinese then it’s a tad bit better. Overall the food was excellent and the service was good.

Local Cantonese style chinese food. $ 5 rice plates — enough said… Good service. Many families are present so this is a good sign of their local reputation. Go for it…

Snuck into town for a quick lunch after visiting a busy museum nearby. Jumped on Unilocal to see what was around: 3.5 stars seemed ok and safe enough. When we looked at the menu we were shocked. It’s literally $ 5 for a sit-down Chinese lunch including soup and tea. And the food was tasty. Service wasn’t anything special, but that was to be expected. Seriously, for $ 5, go here, eat, drink tea, and be happy.

This place is big on Chinese style family dinners, and for that it’s decent. I’ve eaten there once a year for many years, but … If I was eating just for two and in the neighborhood — I’d pick Kim Son or Jade Garden.

This is the spot that my family and I head to for family dinners on Sundays. The people that eat here have been coming for years, very family friendly. It’s really an understated restaurant and really worth a try. They have a varied menu, but it’s a must to get fresh seafood. All the specials are written in chinese, but most likely you’ll see it on a neighboring table; so just point and ask. The free salad that they offer is pretty generic but I love the dressing. Always ask what fresh seafood they have, I really recommend the geoduck and fresh live shrimp if they have it. The portions are large but can be easily saved for the next days lunch. The service is also good, although you can tell they are much more comfortable speaking in chinese. Food comes out fast and hot, and they’ll come around to replace dirty plates so you can resume eating. I do have to say, the bathroom is less than satisfactory; so just hold it. In conclusion, a great place to get authentic Chinese food in the city.

Exploring rules ! This place was really good. I dont know about it being *Superior* but I would eat there again. We shared the Pot Stickers which were tasty and came with some red vinaigrette, the combination fried rice which was a huge portion and really delicious. I ordered Kung Pao beef and it was also really good. It had one of those red chili peppers and holy crap was it potent. lots of veggies and beef. The misses had a clay pot with chicken, eggplant and salted fish and she was in heaven. If youre in the neighborhood and trying to decide where to go, there are a few places to try. try this one first ! PS — the service was fine, in case youre wondering. he took the order did his job and kept refilling my cup with water because of that damn red pepper that just felt like something blew up in my mouth . PSS — the prices I felt were reasonable. the problem is it takes a lot of Chinese food to fill me up so we order a lot !

We were heading to SFO for dropoff and decided to go for Korean at Hans… drive right up in front and it was closed on all Wednesdays… what a disappointment… We then hit this corner… and I am thinking Little Henrys… could do Italian anytime… but my friends NOT… so we headed across the street… Don’t get me wrong… I have been here several times… food is always good… and prices reasonable We ordered oxtails in claypot… very good bittermelon and ribs… best egg and oyster pancake… but this time I added a twist… choy po… its a preserved veggie which gives it a nice crunch… very good

The good news is that the prices are very reasonable. That is about the end of the good news. My dad got the seafood soup, which he said was bland and heavy on the calamari and bok choi. I got the kung pao chicken and rice lunch. It came with the house soup, which was really bland. The kung pao was also bland. I added the hot oil that they put on the table which made it palatable. Our bill was $ 12 plus tax, which is very cheap for how much food you get. So, if you are looking for quantity over quality, you are in luck. With so much great Chinese food in the Richmond district, I would stay away.

I just had lunch in there because they had reasonable lunch special which is $ 5 – 6.50 We ordered two lunch and one side dish — one seafood with rice and broccoli beef with rice. The waiter asked me American broccoli or Chinese broccoli. So I asked Chinese. He didn’t say anything about extra. Taste was good. It wasn’t my first time visit. In fact I brought my family last week also even though we live in downtown. When we asked the check, it was funny The price was added over $ 1 each dishes so I asked why the price is different. What they said is «Chinese broccoli is Very Expensive so added $ 1.50» WTF… If u go to any Chinese market u can buy bunch for $ 1.50 And the waiter kept telling us he was new. Other guy kept talking Chinese to us but he was our Waiter last week and speak English very fine. Hello~~ I saw u last week and also few month ago and last year too.(don’t act u r new) They wrote in Chinese which we might not understand but We can check with the menu!!! If u order Chinese broccoli, be aware they might charge more!!! Never heard expensive Chinese broccoli additional is $ 1.50. Keep watch out the check whether they make overprice. Except this, the food taste good.

Diverse menu, but rather than serve me my order they gave me an Americanized alternative instead. I have a problem with that. There is no benefit to having a diverse menu, if they refuse to serve it to American customers.

Great value! Good traditional Chinese steamed rock cod. That was my favorite dish. We also go the taro and port belly… mmmm. I can’t recall the other dishes we got as they were just mediocre, so I think the dishes are hit or miss. They also served a very good complimentary dessert: taro with tapioca. Overall a great value for decent food. I would come back again.

Low expectations for this Cantonese restaurant in Richmond district. Place has been here for a while, and ownership has changed many times over the years. Here’s the rundown: Beef chow fun: No wok flavor. Texturally, too thick. Average. Crispy roasted chicken: Too salty. Texturally, dry and old. Below average. Stir Fried green beans: Too salty as well. OK texture. Though the restaurant is old and dingy on the inside, all of the tables were occupied by large parties(8+). At least they didn’t try to hustle us like Hong Kong Lounge.

Came here over the weekend with one of my Pals and my Husband. My Pal had mentioned this was a really good place and she was right! We ordered a sizzling beef dish with sweet and sour chicken and a side of «Superior Palace’s Chow Mein.» My friend got a $ 5 lunch special. $ 5! Super cheap! The food: Sweet and Sour chicken had the right balance of sweet and sour. not overwhelming. Sizzling Beef platter was so good! The pieces of steak were tender and seasoned perfectly accompanied with the sizzling veggies. A must try! Chow Mein: Not greasy and I was intrigued with all the ingredients, I think there was Calamari in there along with other proteins. Parking was good. We were seated quickly. The décor was a little plain but the food was good. We will be coming here again!

A neighborhood Chinese restaurant where the food is much better than the decors might indicate. Very good seafood. They also offer many budget dishes.
