I was in the area and wanted a quick haircut due to my busy schedule. I didn’t want anything fancy, just a #1 on my sides. After she cut my sides, I noticed she made a hole in my hair that was unfixable. She kept trying to fix it but made it worse. She repeatedly commented that my hair looks good and it wasn’t that bad. You freakin made my sides uneven and now it looks like there’s a hole!!! Now I have to wear a hat for 2 week. But luckily my hair grows out fast. I’m never coming back here again and I wouldn’t advise you to come here if you need a quick easy haircut. After this, I would gladly pay $ 50 for a barber to cut my sides. At least they know what they are doing. Terrible experience…

My typical place, Ann’s, was closed today due to the holiday. So, I went around the corner to Su’s Salon.
As soon as I sat down, I realized that the picture portraits of flowers behind me were annoyingly tilted. I started to second guess the decision of stepping into this establishment given the importance of visual precision in a haircut.
But as soon as my haircut started, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I watched my hair transform into an above average haircut. Then, the bill was given and it was a below average price! My kind of combination!
No BS, no frills, solid haircut for a very reasonable price. I will likely go here again…

I used to go to Kelly’s and was a loyal customer so when Su took over her spot I thought I’d give it a try. The prices went up but to be honest I always felt like Kelly’s prices were much too low and this is more in line with the market.
Called up the shop on a Friday afternoon and was able to get in quickly for a cut. Su was great, she listened to what I wanted and then quickly and proficiently gave me just the haircut I was looking for. I’ll definitely be going back

Went to Su’s in May 2015.
Su Is an extremely positive person and ushered me in as I was checking out her sign from outside. She runs a great little hair salon that is also a great barbershop.
The Good
— Su gave me the exact haircut I wanted and told me not to worry. I got a side part with a nice fade in the back.
— Su is funny and had a nice chat (even though she is a bit tentative about her English)
— no frills, great price $ 25 +tip
The Bad
— this place is a small mom and pop shop. I loved it, but people that want a brew and a $ 50 haircut shouldn’t go here.

Fantastic cut and service. I’ve moved around a lot (NYC, LA, Las Vegas, etc…) and always dreaded finding a good, reliable salon when landing in a new city. Su’s is worth the bike ride across town. If you’re in the Marina or Pac Heights, then lucky you.

I used to come here when it was Kelly’s, mostly because of convenience and price. I was moderately taken back by the price jump (from $ 13 to $ 25), but let’s be real, $ 25 ain’t bad, and I do think the quality of the cut has gone up a bit. Plus, she takes credit cards. I’ll keep going back for the foreseeable future.

This use to be Kelly’s hair salon, but was purchased. The prices are higher than before, but the haircuts have gone up a notch in my opinion.
Su is just as friendly as Kelly was, this place is recommended.
