Awesome little place out if the way from the main part of the mission, making reservation at last minute a breeze. We tried burrata and veggie and the market fish. Both were great. Presentation was gorgeous and very Californian in execution(very fresh ingredient). The wine list is quite extensive from different part of the world — so difficult to find great wine by the glass places in SF that’s not mobbed. Great place to catch up with old friends. The only downside is the long walk from BART.

We came around 1:45 for brunch, and they were super nice even though they were closing soon. We got two seats at the bar. The guy helping us clearly knew his wines and chatted with us for a while about the five big wineries in France. We had a totally un-oaky chardonnay that I actually liked, but the highlight was the blood orange bellini. Blood orange is just so much better than regular orange juice. For food: 1. Special of the day: Oxtail croquette on grits with braised greens. The croquettes had lots of oxtail in them, and there were lots of greens. This was a hearty dish 2. Omelette: broccoli, blue cheese, salsa verde. This was a bit lighter, and they were able to do an egg white for me. The broccoli was charred nicely, and the salsa verde was actually orange(peppers?) and went really well with the blue cheese It was totally an unplanned late brunch but ended up being great. Next time I’ll have to try the famous peanut butter cheeseburger(so curious!) They serve Sightglass coffee(unlimited pours during brunch) and beer/wine. No liquor.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. The food and ambiance was excellent. I think the restaurant did a great job with the sauces for the nuggets. Pâté was awesome too.

I always love expanding my neighborhood palate, so I’ve visited once for dinner, and once for brunch. Overall, it’s not my cup of tea, but if I need a nicer place to take a friend or someone visiting, I might come back. The flavor profile has never hit the spot for me– always either too heavy on one thing, or so mixed that it has no clear objective. But at least the menu has interesting things on it? The goat stew is probably the best I’ve had so far. I also tried the sausage, egg, potato and parsnip dish, but there weren’t any parsnips(I know they look like potatoes, but they don’t taste like them). The food came out before the coffee, and the bill was $ 45 for two dishes and two coffees. Service was friendly though, and I do enjoy the wine flights, so maybe I’ll just skip the food and come for the wine next time.

I split the pork belly on cheddar cheese biscuit with bacon and the peanut butter burger. Both were to die for. One of the best brunches I’ve ever had in the city. I would go back a million times for that peanut butter burger. Looking forward to trying dinner but brunch was perfect! Dinging off one star because it’s just too overpriced. The burger may be delicious, but put a real side(a couple pickled radishes doesn’t count…) for that price. My mimosa was $ 8 and minuscule.

You cannot go wrong with this place; their wine list is impeccable and their food is always on point and fits in a nice low price range for the high caliber of the experience and the quality. The servers are always smiling and friendly no matter how busy or slow it is; I love personable servers! I love the atmosphere and décor; it makes me feel like I’m settled in some rustic area and just canoodling with my hubby. Must do’s: Duck Liver Pâté, Cheese Plate and the Goat… GETTHEGOAT!!! I have always wanted to try the Chicken Nuggets but literally every time I have come by(and I live very close) they are always sold out… sad face, Tradesman, sad face! This is a great spot to have delicious food in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, a great first date night or a night to sit and relax with friends or family. MUSTGO!

Peanut butter burger = by far the best thing on the food menu. Yes, you read correctly: Peanut butter burger. When prepared the right way, it’s savory and delicious. 20th St corridor has it going on.

Exquisite gastro-casual-pub style. Right between the Mission and Potrero Hill lies a tavern of wines, tapas, and creative food. Sit outside on the sidewalk for some vitamin D. Kale salad — lightly creamy, zest, crunchy, buttery Burrata — tastes like an A class champion of cottage cheese Fish — that green curry is ONPOINT. I’ll have a glass of that to-go please. I would guzzle that down. & I think it also had some banana leaf. Yes, I’d pay $ 20 for that. This place know texture, come here for some mouth sex.

So delicious! My boyfriend and I started with the flight of French reds, all of which were very different and high quality. We got the 3 cheese starter — the jack, the mayor of nye goat and then blue. Oh my god so good. The blue cheese was very pungent, the goat cheese melted in my mouth and the jack was smokey and strong flavored. The«chips» served with the cheeses were these soft, perfectly salted, almost doughy crackers that were unlike anything I’ve tasted. I got the surgeon, which amazed me because of how much flavor the fish had alone. I was put off at first because the bagel didn’t have a spread or anything on it, but it didn’t need it. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles, which was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The peppers and jalapeños added a whole new dimension that took this dish to a whole new level. The service was great, the atmosphere was relaxing while also feeling elegant(but not stuffy). And most importantly there was no line for brunch on Sunday around 11:30!

Ito and I really liked it(but he dings it 1 star for not having fries to go with his peanut butter burger). I loved my pork dish and I liked the Italian wine flight. Louie had a nice Napa Bordeaux blend. We had the ice cream sandwich for dessert — good flavor but the hardness of the cookies made it too hard to eat. The space is really cool — very industrial, matching the ‘hood. And our server was helpful and attentive. I’ll be back

Tried this place on a whim today when my parents came out for Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised. Loved the atmosphere and the fun menu. Here’s some of what we had: Burger, cheddar, peanut butter on a brioche bun: it was cooked perfectly, medium rare, which in my experience can sometimes be hard to obtain because most of the time it’s over cooked. This one was just right and even my picky father said it was one of the best burgers he has had. The addition of PB is spot on. Pork belly biscuit: full of flavor and delicious. Grilled cheese with strawberry mustard on oat molasses bread: my picky eater little sister loved this and I didn’t get to try but from what she said and how she ate it all it looked tasty. Everyone in our party of 7 cleaned their plates. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very cheery and patient when asked questions. All in all I’m glad we tried the Tradesman and will have to go back another time to try their great selection of wines and local cheeses.

I’ve done The Tradesman just for wine & again for food & wine. Happy both times. Service was gracious & attentive; 2 adjectives that unfortunately are not synonymous w the hospitality industry. Props for that. The space is small & cozy. It’s surprisingly warm despite the minimalist aesthetic. It actually has an intimate glow about it. Props for that. The menu is as small as the space, but I’d rather have quality over quantity. Props for that. I tried both the Santa Lucia($ 12) & the Andersen Valley Pinot Noir($ 14). Both reds apropos with the burger, but we both preferred the Santa Lucia. The bartender stated that it’s the Santa Lucia that is his usual recommendation for that genre. He’s on it. Same bartender that WENTOUTOFHISWAYTOGRAB a stool &BRINGITOVERTOUS when he saw my man standing while I sat at the only spare stool at the bar. He came from BEHINDTHEBAR during PRIMETIMEFRIDAYNIGHT. Major props for that. The veggie & burrata appetizer was fabulously presented on chickpea lavash. The only pic that I didn’t delete. You’ll see. It was simply delicious. At once smooth & crunchy. A win. House made sausage. My man really liked this. It was spicy but not offensive. The trimmings were perfect; it was like a deconstructed sandwich, sans bread. A win. The burger. Finally! The peanut butter component just works. Go figure. Juicy & flavorful. We loved it! Tradesman is perfect for a non crazy night(no offense Trick Dog), smaller bites, & wine. A win. 4 stars.

So we dipped in one«morning»(a.k.a. afternoon) for a local brunch. Do intend to convert«mornings» to mornings… That aside, here we were to try a new place out! Over mimosas, I ordered their Chicken & Waffles dish. I’ve finally been introduced to the concept of Chicken & Waffles just this year, and their version is pretty tasty — actually served up with jalapeños and radishes to spice it up. Tiny bit of maple syrup helps bring the spice back down, and it all blends well. My other half ordered a Goat Stew, and they enjoyed it much and consumed it quickly. Soon afterward, we each also ordered a French Press Coffee. Glad we arrived by 2PM. Another couple arrived at 3PM, by when their kitchen was closed! Guess we lucked out.
