This place open so fast and close so fast it’s a joke. I heard the food is pretty bad. And they don’t make fresh. I myself never try it but I prefer fancy wheat as my neighborhood bakery. It’s hard to convince me to change in less than a week of opening and not to mention closing.

Wheat House Bakery just opened up in downtown Vistaction Valley(I didn’t know there was a downtown VV till now). It’s an old school style Chinese bakery. Towards the front of the shop you can grab a tray and tongs and help yourself to baked buns(the usual kinds: ham & egg, BBQ pork, coconut, pineapple, cocktail, hot dog). The cases have lemon bars, cake rolls, wife wakes, macarons, egg tarts, cookies, etc., and on top, loaves of bread. They have coffee, tea and a refrigerator full of drinks. * Curry beef bun: pale soft lightly sweetened light bun with a fair amount of yellow curry ground beef, could use onion to sweeten, kinda dry inside but decent * Red bean bun(70 cents): very soft, lightly sweet, lots of sweet smooth bean paste with a sprinkling of sesame seeds * Chicken pie($ 1): Their specialty, the pastry that surrounds the filling is very thick, flaky and sweet, almost like a cookie. The filling was tasty with bits of chicken, carrots(looked chopped) and peas, distinctly Chinese taste. The pastry was too thick. The pastries don’t look particularly pretty and they lack finesse but they’re still good. Surprisingly, I didn’t see a bunch of elderly Chinese men hanging out. I noticed a sign for free wi-fi. Cash only.
