Tsing’s Chinese Restaurant

We were hungry for Chinese and wanted something close to our hotel, so we went to Unilocal of course. We ended up here at Tsing’s and are very glad that we did, it was very good. The potstickers were amazing, one of the best that I have ever had and HUGE! Excellent moo shu pork and beef with broccoli. Gigantic portions, so be prepared.

Went there for the first time and ordered take out service was good and got home to eat the food. My seafood lo mein… The noodles was either overlooked or old it did not taste right at all then I started chewing calamari– it has gone bad completely and I had to spit it out and throw out the food …:(I think rest of the seafood has gone bad either left it or too long or cooked it early and left it out all day anyway I don’t think I will be going back — very disappointed

I ordered lunch for two through eat24 and was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! We got the lunch orders of garlic eggplant (with rice) and Kung Pao tofu (with rice), as well as a regular order of chow fun with vegetables. With tax and tip, it was less than $ 30, and we have enough leftovers for dinner! The best part: it was delivered in less than 20 minutes, and we live about five miles away. That was a fantastic surprise!
I will definitely order from here again! The tofu dish was our favorite, though the eggplant was very good also! The only thing we didn’t like was how many onions there were in the chow fun. But otherwise, it was perfect.

Caveat: I have never eaten in the restaurant, have ONLY ordered take out. So, here’s the review for the take out experience. Love it!

4. NO leakage, and they even double cartoned one dish to ensure no leakage — big big plus
5. Prepackaged take out utensils, soy sauce, fortune cookie (yup gave me 2)
oh yeah food quality, shrimps were tender, string beans turgid (yes turgid) the way I like my beans, and the meals I order have always been consistent.
So why not 5 stars? 5 stars is for that over the top experience, kinda like the 5 stars you give an Über/​Lyft driver, that they will actually help you with your luggage opposed to sitting in the car and it’s raining cats and dogs, or waits an extra minute before leaving, you know you know.

Driving on the coast, got hungry, and stumbled upon this little restaurant. Was pleasantly satisfied with the quality of food, the quick and efficient service, and, most notably, the great prices.
The Orange Chicken was delicious – the meat was tender, the breeding thin and crispy, and the sauce sweet enough. The Chicken Chow Fun was good, but needed a little something. Maybe some soy sauce or sriracha. Lastly, the Chicken Mushu was a new experience to me and I loved it!
All in all a great experience on a slow Sunday evening!

LOVE their food. We’ve only ordered takeout via grubhub but everything has been so so tasty! Try the walnut prawns.

i ordered scramble egg with prawn. it’s the worst i have ever had. it’s usually tender, juicy and with white souce. but this is dry, everything is over cooked, and very very salty. it has a strange after taste too, maybe too much msg, or some weird seasoning. i had to drink so much water to wash off the taste. i never waste food, but this time i just can’t finish because of it’s weird taste. i can’t believe they are still open with this quality of food. btw, restroom is nasy too.

I ordered a pick up of 3 lunch deal meals. It was about 7.5 each and when I left the restaurant I couldn’t believe how heavy was the bag. They are extremely large portions but did not compromise for the taste. Everything was so tender and tasty! we had salt and pepper pork rib, string beans and beef and kung pao chicken. Now we have lunch leftovers for the rest of the week.

The food here is pretty good but the service is horrible. Waited 20 minutes and still did not have my order taken. In fact the waitress took the order of a table that arrived after us before not coming to take ours. Naturally, we walked out because I dont have time for that. The food is good but you can get good chinese food just down the block and around the corner. You would think with their poor food safety rating they would try harder.

Order a soup didn’t give me spoon. Order a kiwi strawberry drink and gave me a mango one. The soup is so salty. Never order again

Probably one of the best orange chicken around my neighborhood but the delivery can be slow. For some weird reason they dont know how to steam broccoli correctly legit has to be raw.

Standard fare food but portions are good, the food arrives hot and not overly greasy. But also not over the top spectacular. The souos are good. Luchtime is often super busy with locals. Vegatables in the broccoli dish were a little overcooked but the pot stickers are good as is twice cooked pork.

Yummy takeout for lunch. The food tasted hot and fresh and the portions were large. I don’t think there was any msg either… I wasn’t feeling thirsty afterwards. From left to right, Mongolian chicken, tofu beef, and shrimp with Bok choy. Sadly this place has a 60 out of 100 health score. I only found out after I ordered food here. Please clean up your act and I’ll come back.

Ordered online for delivery, great prices, free delivery! It was delivered 10 minutes earlier than I expected which is amazing because it came from across the city. I let is sit for 30 minutes on my desk (was busy working) and by the time I got to it, it was STILL HOT. That’s great.
Love the cashew chicken and chicken chow mein lunch special. Veggie hot & sour soup, mild is so tasty! Just the perfect amount of spice for someone that can’t handle too much spicy.

Luckily my dad was cleared by the doctor. I saw the $ 37 refunded to my account. The owner messaged me showing her concern and was truly sorry. Accidents happen so please do your best to minimize them in the future.

Was looking for a nice place to get something heavy yet flavorful this evening and this was the place. As I was in the neighborhood I was led to this place. The big sign outside of the restaurant is very eye catching. As I made my way into the restaurant I saw that it was empty meaning that I would get my food quickly, PERFECT!!! I ordered my honey walnut prawns with a small side of rice and waited. The wait was exactly 5 minutes. That gave me enough to get to my train as well which happen to be coming down the street to my stop. Everything was lining up exactly as I wanted seeing is that I was hungry. When I finally got home I jumped right into the bag. First bite, GRRRRRRRR… need I say more. Plus there were vegetables to go along with the prawns which was a nice touch. It was a rather quick meal by hey, when you are hungry sometimes meals go by quickly!!! This place was the exact place that I needed to stop to tame my hunger. Check the menu out… you might be surprised.

Ordered 5 dishes reviewed as follows:
— The Hot Plate Combination appetizer it was hardly edible… Overwhelming taste of flour & grease.
— Vegetable Egg Fu Young dish seemed like it came from a can with a gravy and green bean sauce — horrible tasting!
— Pork fried rice was edible, but salty (or maybe MSG) and greasy (even for Chinese food standards).
— Cashew Nut Chicken was overly salty overpowering our taste buds.
— steamed rice order never came to the table. They forgot it and given how bad everything else was we just asked for it to be boxed with the rest if the food we could not eat.
Service was mediocre– could tell they were sizing me up the minute I walked in… There was no one immediately available to get us seated. Place was less than half full, but workers seemed busy and weren’t attentive to our table.
Bottom line, I made a mistake choosing this Tsing restaurant while Unilocaling for a place to eat before catching a movie… I meant to go to the New Tsing Tao which had a 4 star rating… Very disappointing and would definitely not come back here!

I always tend to order my Chinese food from Tsing’s. They deliver anywhere between 40 – 50 minutes and are always polite and courteous whenever they show up at my door.
Their chicken curry, Mongolian beef/​lamb/​chicken are my favorite as well as the egg fried rice and their chicken potstickers. I’ve also enjoyed their shumai on more than one occasion and the spring rolls aren’t half bad either. I always have real Orange peel in the Orange chicken and to be honest, find them to be some of the best Chinese food in te city.
Along with an extensive menu, the flavors are clean and delicious and everything shows up nice and hot and fresh.
I would steer clear of the baked buns and I find the steamed ones to be too fleshy. I would prefer them to be smaller rather than large enough to be lunch all by itself.
Other than that, don’t have anything bad to say. Everything I have, or my friends have tried from them had been a hit.
Since I’ve only ever had them deliver, I’m not fit to comment on the ambience or state of the establishment itself but, if it is only about the food, then, my favorite Chinese food in San Francisco comes from Tsing’s.

The driver rang the doorbell tonight after I specifically wrote on my online order to NOT ring the doorbell and to call my phone instead. Well, no instructions were followed, and my neighbor was disturbed. Not ordering from here again. Too bad for them because I placed three orders in less than three weeks, and I could have been a regular customer. Not following instructions is not cool.
