Really cool, very friendly, awesome customer service. The hot dogs were very tasty, we enjoyed them fully loaded, and they are an excellent value at $ 4 apiece.

1 person stand so orders are slow. He manages the counter and cooks. Only 2 tables outside and 3 inside. No fountain drinks which is a bummer. The good news is when the food comes it is really good.

i had a san jose hot dog and a chicken quesadilla. my god it was gross. The man has a huge heart but that does not change the fact about the food. i spent $ 11.00 the hot dog radish was good the bacon was old and dried out. the quesadilla had just chicken and cheese not hard to screw up? right? wrong… there was so much oil it managed to permeate through the box. the price for food out of taste most definitely not worth it. If it wasn’t for this guy’s kind heart i would have easily gave it 1 star.

Good dog, great business. Bless this guy’s heart for staying here until like…2am to feed all of the drunks that come out of the club. We actually ate here BEFORE we went dancing because the«Blue Chip» or whatever it’s called that’s downstairs is just really weird… awkward. We got a chili cheese dog and it was good! I like the buns and the cheese that he uses… not your average stuff. Next time I’ll have to try the Chicago dog. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot! Seasoned potato wedges! YUM, those were good.

After seeing Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert talk, it was getting late and we needed to get some grub. Someone in our group mentioned this had just opened so we trekked down. Got a chili cheese dog which came in a large bun with a ¼ dog, being pretty hefty. Topped with cheese and chili which were decently satisfying, though the bun was a bit flaky and didnt hold up to the filling. There come potato wedges which are normally a nice touch but mine were cold. I think there were just too many people for one person to handle so my order also got lost for a while. The people watching on a Sat night out the window however is pretty interesting.

Wonderful! I left with a smile. The service is excellent and fast. I had a chili dog and loved it: the bread is very fresh, and the hot dog isn’t your typical skimpy dog. It’s also fresh, and when served with the potato wedges serves as a filling meal. A great quick, filling, delicious meal.

The first thing that comes out at ya is how clean this place is very clean and tidy. I decided to give this place a try after passing by many times. And I must say the hot dogs are very good. I planned on getting a New York style dog but AJ recommend me the the Chicago dog. I’m like why not give it a try? I did and it was fabulous! The presentation alone very clean very neat, the space shuttle guys could have these dogs on board. Like a postcard picture, I should have brought a camera but was late. My only thing for me was that the dog could have been a little hotter. A tip if your passing by and in a hurry they have a window street side, stop order and keep on going an texting… hello! How easy is that?

My new favorite Downtown lunch spot for sure! I went back for my third time yesterday and the food was as spectacular as the previous visits. AJ, himself, actually waited on me and he was as charming as he was efficient. There has been some great additions to the menu over the past few months so it’s not just your standard hot dog shop.(Plus there was talk of even more exciting new menu options!) I ordered the Chicago Red Dog and seasoned Potato Wedges and washed it down with my Diet Coke, all at a very reasonable price for the mountain of food I received. It totally hit the spot and reminded me just how tasty a hot dog can be! I love the location of the shop too. Walking down from further up First street, the ambiance is totally different south of San Fernando and I took advantage of the cool retro inspired stools, sat comfortably and people watched through the window. Being open late, midnight or later, it’s a perfect place to stop in at any time of the night for a nice little treat! Honestly, who doesn’t love a good Hot Dog?
