Most frustrating Dressbarn that I have shopped. The Chicago and Nashville stores have very friendly customer service. I was carrying around a huge load of clothes; the clerk watched me for a while before she asked if I wanted a room. The store had a buy one sweater get the second sweater 50% off. However, I had a 30% off coupon for a single regular priced item. The cash register would not let the clerk enter my 30% for a single item because I had two items. The problem, the second item was a $ 26 top(50% off = $ 13) while my sweater was $ 79(30% off = $ 23.70). The clerk told me that 50% off is the better deal. Really??? The Dressbarn coupons make shopping difficult. I hate this particular store due to the customer service, they cannot manage the Dressbarn Coupons. I don’t plan to go back.

So my mom used to shop at Dress Barn and I felt kind of weird shopping there for myself. The store is brand spankin’ new and very airy and clean. I expected the store to be bigger and carry far more dresses given the name but I found it had a lot of regular clothes as well. With that said, there is a petite petite section and a section for larger women, including shoes, shape wear, and accessories. I was disappointed by the size options as most were quite sporadic and items are already out on the floor(e.g. one dress in a quantity of three but all size 8…). The petite sizes seemed to start at 4P+. The styles are quite conservative but range from casual wear to workwear to semi-special occasion. Price points start around $ 30 up to $ 65 for dresses not including sales — not bad. Customer service was friendly and helpful and I was impressed with the styling of the fitting rooms(think VS-esque but in a different color scheme and more spacious). Overall, for it’s target shopper, it’s a decent store. I would expect more size options though… to satisfy the regular customer. Ultimately definitely not for me(not my style) but a nice option to have for those who would shop here.
