John S Cupples, DDS

My husband and I have been a patient of Dr. Cupples for a few years now. We couldn’t be happier with his service and staff. Always friendly and to the point. This review is really for the most recent visit. A crown on one of my front teeth popped off the morning of 4^th of July 2015. We called Dr. Cupples and he provided us with a few options. One of them being to meet him at his office. We tried to fix it ourselves and it just wouldn’t hold so we ended up meeting Dr. Cupples at his office at 4:30. He was able to fix it within 15 minutes and was very kind and understanding. I felt so bad interrupting his day, especially it being a holiday.
I am so grateful he was there to help me and when I tell everyone my story they are so surprised he took time out of his day to open his office and help. Says a lot about his practive and character.

I am surprised to see that there is only one review for Dr. Cupples. I have been seeing him since I was a little girl (and I am now in my 40s). I have stayed loyal even when I went away to college, briefly lived on the East Coast and as I have lived in Oakland for the past 20 years.
I have always gotten great care. His office staff is very warm and caring. His hygienists are gentle and thorough (I especially like Steve whom I have been seeing for probably 10 years) and Dr. Cupples’ work has always been top notch. All of my fillings (even those from 30 years ago) are solid and my two crowns have been perfect over the past 10 years.
Not sure what else one can say about a dentist… but why risk it when I have had a wonderful one for nearly my whole life?!?

Dr. Cupples has been my dentist for over 10 years. Years & years ago, living in another city, I required extensive dental work: the best money could buy from a renowned dentist in West Los Angeles. With time passage and usage, I required some new dental work. Dr. Cupples did an outstanding job, which is still serving me well!
From experience, I assure you that you can trust Dr. Cupples to give you quality, durable dentistry without fear and without pain with aesthetic awareness to help you look your best!
More recently, Dr. Cupples did an absolutely beautiful job on a composite (white) filling for me. I was astounded. You can’t tell there’s a filling. What a wonderful surprise!
Dr. Cupples’ expertise is reliable, verifiable, and the quality you receive will not leave you disappointed. I decided I would rather have Dr. Cupples do the filling than take a chance on a less-​experienced dentist. Having a comfortable mouth to enjoy eating is so necessary for everyday living enjoyment and more important to me than anything else I can think of in comparison.

Furthermore, Dr. Cupples has friendly, warm, kind, considerate office Staff, and the most attractive dental office. There’s a large picture window directly in front of the dental chair. You look out and see the beautiful sky and plants. And, it’s fun typing your name on the lobby computer, too!

Dr. Cupples is a great dentist — he gave me honest advice, laid my options out clearly, and respected the informed decision that I made. He is obviously a concerned dentist who charges very reasonable rates and tries to keep a patient’s costs down. Really good guy — honest, sincere, and gentle in his approach. The office is super clean with modern equipment and the entire staff is very friendly, professional, and caring. They handle my insurance billing, send me reminders, and basically take the whole process off my plate — I just have to show up! I highly recommend Dr. Cupples to anyone looking for the best professional dentist.

Dr. Cupples is a wonderful dentist. My husband and I have been seeing him for over three years after leaving our past dentist because he no longer took Delta insurance.
