DONOTEATHERE! Me and my boyfriend ate here a few hours ago and are regretting it now. This isn’t the first time we have food poisoning from this location either. We called to tell the manager that we were throwing up and in excruciating pain from what we ate there and her response to us was that she would keep it in mind in case other people called but that food poisoning takes 72 hours to hit you. She not once showed any kind of sympathy for the condition me and my boyfriend are in right now. After asking for her manager(since she was no help) she let us know that in order for us to get a refund we must bring A DOCTORSNOTE to prove we have food poisoning. Really?!? A doctors visit alone would cost more than the price of the crappy meal we had anyway. Norma, thanks for nothing. Your district manager will be calling me though soon so good luck! Corporate I will say definitely didn’t take this situation lightly.

I’ve been here five times in the last year. One of those was a good experience. This morning was more typical. Counted eight people working and around same number of customers. Ordered breakfast sandwich, smoothie and pastry. The pastry was no problem — cashier put it in a bag and got it to me quickly. They didn’t start breakfast sandwich until I asked about it ten minutes later. Got the sandwich and asked about smoothie. Waited another ten minutes and they still hadn’t started it. Got my money back. Not bad folks — just very poorly trained. They need fewer, and better trained/motivated people.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday and it wasn’t pack. Order a cinnamon roll, ginger tea, and asiago cheese loaf thin slices. The cinnamon roll is huge! I couldn’t finish it. Half way through, it became too sweet. The ginger tea taste perfect. Definitely recommend this place.

Panera Bread has it nailed; online order and pickup in the store where it’s sitting on the Rapid Pick-up shelf; you just run in and pick it up; no waiting. Would like to see the bag stapled or sealed so I know it hasn’t been tampered with, but love the focus on efficiency. Salad had fresh greens & onions and so-so tomatoes, but was great. Panini was great, but since it was to-go, it wasn’t as crispy as it would have been had we ate it there. Broccoli Soup was also pretty good. Definitely be back for the quick and friendly service & fresh food!

WASHYOURHANDS!!! When you are dealing with food you want to make sure you wash your hands and then put on gloves, it’s not that hard. I’m done with this place because these people don’t comprehend the simple EASYSTEP before they grab the food. Let me break it down for your, you are mopping and then need to help someone, stop and wash your hands or if you are sweeping the floors or dealing with money, just stop what your doing and wash your hands and then put on gloves its not that hard. Plus everyone on here who says the food is good is nuts, this place is mediocre.

Must try the soups — specially the seasonal pumpkin. Go for it!

All in all a good Panera location. Chicken panini was great and so the coffee(always!), broccoli and cheddar soup was awesome too. We have had food at other Panera locations and this location is no different from consistency perspective. Like their food alot. Only 4 stars because of the rude lady at the ordering terminal. We felt she could have been little bit enthusiast and not make customers feel uncomfortable as if they are making irritating demands.(All we had is pretty much I mentioned in the beginning and it was a straight one line, one sentence order)

I venture here when I’m looking for a nice healthy salad and soup combination. If you’re sensitive to gluten then I would stay away from any of the bread options or soup /bread combo for for $ 8 you can have a great salad /soup combo.

Awesome autumn squash soup… the newbie on the menu. Must try this season. Service is good as always.

Originally a great place, but quality of both service and food is quickly degrading. Online ordering so far failed in all attempts(five total) — items were either not available, not ready on arrival or not prepared correctly(e.g. bread is not sliced). Employees have very little training and don’t know their what they’re selling(e.g. «rye miche doesn’t exist — you can get either rye loaf or white miche»). From coming here a couple of times a week for fresh pastry, we only come here now as a place of last resort and even then we get burned every time

Fast and fresh, but a bit pricey. ½ sandwich and ½ salad for $ 12! I’ve been several different Panera locations, and the food has been very consistent. This location is no different. There’s a decent amount of seating, but during peak times, you might want to get your food to go. Also, parking is really bad M-F from 11:45a-1:00p.

Friendly staff and fresh seasonal food. Chris the manger went out of his way to help my table neighbor retrieve her sunglasses from behind the booth. That was superb and kind of him!

We put in a Rapid Pick Up Order for 2 Ham and Cheese Power Sandwiches. Confirmation noted Ready Time 10:20 am. We waited until 10:27 am for it to be put in Rapid Pick Up Order Cubbies by Front Entrance. I walked to kitchen and our food was sitting there. Food was cold. I told kitchen staff that it was Rapid Pick Up Order, shook my head and left.

Some neat things at Panera that I just found out about: They have a soba noodle soup, which is pretty cool! My sister loves it. She finds it very filling and likes the broth. The quinoa lentil soup uses the same broth too if you aren’t as into soba. I just found out about their rewards card(yes I’m late to the game). I would totally have come here to study more often in the past if I had known about it. When you sign up, you get a free pastry right away. :) If you order an entrée(or you pick 2) and a drink, you can get any pastry for $ 0.99. Go for their chocolate duet sandwich cookie w/walnuts! Their green passion power smoothie is super delicious too. The last time I was here to study, they also had a promo when you logged onto their wifi to watch a video and answer questions at the end to get a discount on either a flatbread or salad. Yay for deals!

Consistently solid. Yeah they make their occasional mistake with missing salad dressing or forgetting ingredients, but all-in-all very solid stop. Food is always fresh and staff is very polite. I also like they switch up their menu a bit. Keeps it interesting;)

Even though Panera does not have too many options for vegetarians I still like their Mediterranean Sandwich and tomato soup. Recently I visited Panera and tried out their Lentil Quinoa Bowl and loved it. One thing to note is, broth was vegetable broth but for some reason they could not remove egg from it. I do love eggs so I was ok with it. Let me tell you it was surprising great tasting broth especially since it had Quinoa in it. I would give it a try again. Overall this restaurant is not bad.

The Food: I always get the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. It’s not too heavy, but has enough substance and variety to keep me full and satisfied. Not only does it tastes good, but it’s prepared well every time. I’ve never had an instance where the quality and presentation of my food at this location was called into question. I once had one of the flatbread sandwiches and was very disappointed. It was so dry! I was expecting soft bread. Never again. My boyfriend gets the broccoli cheddar in a bread bowl. Not advisable unless you’re ready for food coma, but it’s pretty irresistible when he orders it so I have a little. Maybe I’ll try their breakfast or strawberry poppyseed & chicken salad next. The Service: No complaints thus far. Staff are pleasant at this location. I haven’t come here during the lunch rush so no long waits.

My first time here will definitely be my last. Ordered a chipotle chicken panini with a side of bread, a iced chai latte, and a bear claw. The panini was extremely soggy and sloppily put together, my chai was smaller than what I received at other Panera locations and full of ice, and my bread looked as if it was ripped off of the loaf instead of cut. The bear claw, despite it sitting out for what could be all day, was decent enough to warrant this place one star. I find it completely unacceptable to half-ass my meal, especially since the restaurant was practically empty. I’d rather take my business to many of the other restaurants in the North San Jose/Santa Clara area.

Conveniently located Panera on 1st St. among all the other restaurants and shops that have popped up here since the Target opened. We came here to utilize the free wifi so not to be too stingy, we picked up a couple of teas. I love that they have a lot of different tea options and you can refill the hot water as many times as you want! The interior’s nice with lots of seating and nicely partitioned. The only thing bad was the free wifi which basically reset every few minutes which made working really really difficult and there wasn’t anyone in the place when we went(okay a few folks but shouldn’t have been so many issues). I’ll likely come back for potential breadery but definitely not for its wifi.

This is a great chain if you want a good bite to eat that’s not a fast food gut buster like Mc Donald’s. Had the Cobb salad which was fair. This certainly isn’t gonna be like fine dinning but it’s perfect for the need and price.
